my guy your visa has been approved. . . VAC never pick up your documents yet. when they do, your assigned bar-code will be scanned in their system and then you will get a notification saying your documents have left ACCRA. go and start looking for whia to find cheap ticket...
Richcasey how far self, no show yet?

Wow, I try to be as incognito as possible... how did you infer that I'm likely in Canada?
Well you are almost right, I went to uni in one of the "Five Eyes" countries. I finished all education a while ago.

It seems likely that you would get the visa given that finance was the main reason your application was denied both times. Or does the embassy sometimes invent new reasons to deny subsequent applications? I mean, could they this time turn around and deny for "purpose of visit" in a second or third application even though they didn't tick it in the previous applications (everything else in the application being the same). I've not seen that on this thread and I hope for your sake and my sake that they don't get this schizophrenic.
Lol it was a wide guess bro. Please what is "Five Eyes Countries"?
Same thing I have been thinking, make they no create critirea on top person head.
Though I personally think it will be a joke for them to resurrect another reason after effectively addressing there financial reasons. This people can be unpredictable.

It's all good bruv.

On another note, I strongly benefited from your earlier posts about your previous delays that were due to "insufficient funds". My sister got delayed for the same reasons (no other reasons ticked, only funds). Your post-mortem about your GCMS was very informative! We have now paid for more than one year of tuition + accommodation and included a detailed spreadsheet breaking down her costs and funds available. It made no sense why she was initially refused given that the bank statement was eight times more than the total tuition and accommodation. We think the VO had reservations about the sponsor's commitment as well as the fact that we didn't include my sister's SOA. We now think we have plugged every hole in that area. I am on this forum primarily on her behalf... she is super busy with work so I figure I'd be her "agent", lol.

Thanks for your contributions! Any updates on your study permit application?
No update yet o Brother,I am kind of worried its taking this much time, my app is about six weeks old.
I like to believe I blocked all my loopholes too.
I paid of my entire tuition (2yrs) and my fixed deposit alone is enough to cover at least 13 months living expenses if I was spending 1000 CAD monthly.
I also submitted my SOAs and stock evaluation.

I assume you are already in Canada? Which school?

Abeg you and @AriseOCompatrot should end your quibbling. I felt you could have been more diplomatic (without compromising your point) in your initial disagreement with him, but I agree with you that he took it to a different level of attack and pettiness.

@AriseOCompatrot, no vex o. We all benefitted from your MBA admission story, so no personal gripes against you.
Honestly there was no single agression intended in my previous post.
He compared MBA earnings to PGD, I merely pointed out the disadvantage.

His post mentioned schools popularity, I pointed out how that doesn't affect anything including job hunting.( His post also agrees with this)

Finally he tried to insinuate that only MBA leads to 3yrs PGWP which is false and misinformation.

The self absorbing, delusion reeking creep can't even discuss the misinformation he went so deep his rectum to pull out
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by standupguy(m): 4:39pm On Jul 24, 2015
AriseOCompatrot:
Oga, did you see the "pun intended" part and broad grin and tongue sticking out emoticons? You should calm down o, life is not as serious as you are trying to make it seem.

First of all, you said i'm out of line with "most" of my assumptions. I made only two statements/assumptions and you shot both of them down so even your introductory statement is incoherent.

Secondly, your conclusion that i have 2-3 years work experience leaves a lot to be desired about your attention to detail. Read my post again. That was in reference to admission requirements for an MBA and not my work experience. If you had been attentive enough, you would have noticed a few pages back where i stated how many years of professional experience I have. I hope you aren't going for a research program o?

Was it really necessary for you to remind me that I do not have any Canadian experience? Isn't that like the common denominator of everybody on this thread who is applying for a trv? How then is that relevant to the discussion? Introducing the issue of competition from Canadians is absolutely beyond the scope of what was being discussed.

I have no beef with whether one applies to college or to university...for goodness sake I applied to two colleges! I was only inferring that Centennial and Carleton not giving me admission is their own loss and not mine. The person I sent that post to did not reply and so I'm really at loss as to the motive behind your intervention. Judging from this unwarranted aggression of yours, I'm guessing you got admitted into Centennial?
Ogbeni you are the one taking things too seriously here, plus this your " IGNORE THE MESSAGE AND ATTACK THE MESSENGER APPROACH" is quite classic.
This is a public forum you should know that every discussion here is meant for public consumption so when I hypothetically said 2-3yrs is had nothing to do with you.
For what its worth you did not refute any of the misinformation you dished out there which I tried to debate and correct.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by standupguy(m): 3:12pm On Jul 24, 2015
AriseOCompatrot:
Well, as far as I am concerned, Carleton and Centennial can stick their popularity up their rectal cavities grin The salary one can earn with an MBA from UVic is much more than what is earnable with all the degrees in Centennial put together (pun intended) tongue Not to talk of the 3 years PGWP that's obtainable after the MBA compared to just 1 year PGWP that would have been obtainable if any of those "Popular" schools had given me admission. Feel free to attribute it to the demand factor, I attribute it to the God factor anytime anyday!
Bro you are way out of line with most of your assumptions.
Firstly the fastest way to enter Canadian workforce is with a college degree, Msc wages tend to be higher but with your 2-3yrs work experience in Nigeria which is equivalent to zero to the Canadian employer, after your Msc in Canada you will be completing for jobs with mostly people to 35-50 with not less than 10yrs Canadian work experience.

Secondly Canada don't discrminate certificates among there publicly funded institutions and finally PGWP is not insititution dependent.

Form A is your best bet in my opinion as the rate is very friendly at the moment.
Onyeoma where were you with this information when I dashed Gtbank my money while trying to pay my tuition.
You are correct in all you said.
In fact I did BTA yesterday for someone who is going for summer vacation yesterday.
BTA is 5k, your company has to be invited and you have to be nominated by your company to bid and get it.
I was able to buy in less then an Hour from diamondbank at the rate of 200 at 2% transaction charges.
For now diamond remains your best bet for forex.

I need a little clarification with the form A thing, the few times I have used it, the payment with straight to the school for tuition but you said something about the money being ttransferred to your personal account, how does that work please? Can you elaborate.

Please if you were refused after medicals can you let us know what province you applied to?
I believe there's a quota for each province, it shouldn't be strange to anybody.
If quota really exist of course Ontario would have the highest number of applicants.

Purpose of visit, travel history, family times to country n personal asset and financial status was selected, even though I had paid over $7k tuition deposit, added my landed properties and closing personal soa of over 3.9m just for a year PG prog. This is crazy, if they wanna be frustrating Nigerians from schooling in canada, it's high time they made this known!!!

I said I agree with you, I hope the VO sees it in that light too..
In his case, the diploma played a major role though.

I hope the VO is also science inclined to understand the way you understood.
If the VO was commercial inclined nko...

Me Ayam just saying o.
You could be right about the diploma thing,
But as for V.O not knowing or understanding field of study, all it takes the v.o is to check the academic requirement of your program and every field eligible for admission would show

As much as it cud be related, it cud very much be unrelated.
A job opening for a chemical engineer can't be picked up by an environmental scientist.

In as much as the can have a line where they interwove, that doesn't make it the same thing.
We are talking about an academic progression here not a job with specifics.
and it is perfectly normal for a chemical engineer to desire to progress into environmental engineering or sciences.
In fact it is one of the most relative progression for chemical engineers.

Evenn if he submitted 5Billion personal fixed deposit...
What they will tick is what they will...

Don't let's cure malaria by using panadol..

It will only reduccee the headache but you will still be sick..
You should be able to see that apart from the absence of a logical progression, there is a mismatch from chemical engineering to environmental engineering..
Bro haha you are an engineer na.
Engineering and sciences hardly discriminate against each other.
How can you say chemical and environmental engineering are not related?

It should work out... Just one more thing. Did your bro return to naija after his pgdhuh Or he is still there in canada?? Did you still put his canada address in the family form this time aroundhuh If he is still there in canada.. is it as a PR or what??
He Did very good in school, got officially employed immediately after school. In fact the coincedence was that he got employed in the town where I already had an admission in a school.
so right now he is still on 3yrs work permit.
and yes I did not change anything on the family form So his address is still there

Besides your bro... do u have any other sibling in canada. Did you also submit ur employment docs and statement of account??
My entire family lives in Naija including my aged parents.
my bro went for his PGD, and completed it last year.
I submitted my employment intro letter, but I applied under the impression that my finance was irrelevant So I Ignored my SOA and assets.
My first refusal never mentioned my personal finance and asset so I reapplied without it But the second time it was highlighted.

This time i included my SOA, Fixed deposit which I had even prior the two failed application, shares cert, letter from broker, and Cscs statement.
I also paid of two yrs tuition.
I hope it works this time.

This is my exact point. Did you let them knw on your family form that your bro lives in canadahuh
On the family form you put everyone's address.
so they probably saw it there and made conclusion of there own.
I addressed it on this application sha, even though I applied with the same program from another school While stating the reason for change of institution too.

I just pray a patient and reasonable V.O gets to review my app and read my well detailed SOP.

hayqinsbFX:
its more of weak ries in nigeria than strong ties in canada.
CIC wont say that because you have a brother in canada you cant school in canada.
Even though the reason for my both refusals were insufficient funds for tuition and living expenses,
the second time it's was insufficient funds for tuition and financial status.
but my case file revealed that they thought I was just going to join my brother just because coincedence which they knew nothing about brought him to the town were my proposed school was a month to my app.
While I believe its very unfair to indict someone based on the fact that they have siblings in the Country, Most immigration will jump on that option when there is a crack in ur application.
In my case the crack was my personal finance and asset.

Premise: if he has no money of his own, to pay for his living expenses, and the institution happens to be in the same location as his brother, therefore he must be going to join him to live with him.

This is For anybody trying to apply to study in canada....and you have advanced diploma on your mind after doing BSC.
Kindly drop that option and apply for a postgraduate program, atleast use the postgraduate program to get your visa.
Advanced diploma is considered an undergraduate level course and NOT postgraduate.
With exception to few colleges and uni which call dier postgraduate advanced diploma
This is to reduce any form of heartache while waiting for a reply from the embassy and to give you a better chance.

I'm already in this and I don't want anybody to go into it blindly....i asked numerous times on the thread before I chose it, I remember vividly I was given a strong go ahead.
Bro but I have explained this thing na,
Let me break it down again.

For technical students,
Under graduate diploma =1-2 yrs, earns you technician
Under graduate advanced diploma= 3yrs, earns technologist.
PGD Advanced diploma=2yrs, earns you technologist.
Post graduate certificate PGC= 1-2yrs(mostly one year or 3 semesters), earns you Graduate certificate.

B.sc/b.Eng etc = 4yrs (awarded by universities only)

M.sc/M.Eng= 2yrs (awarded by universities too).

If you already have a Bsc you should avoid the first two.

Oga, Processing times vary by country o shey you know.
And don't assume-again - that what holds for India is the same as what holds here.

Let me tell you something, these immigration websites have data's of countrys with the highest number of immigrants and accord scrutiny to such countries in the same proportion.

I see you referred to Morgan's Caips which is fair but you only took a sample to judge and you conveniently forgot Ada's, Tnuola's , Standupguy's and several others who didnt see any dissimilarity in their Caips and the profile they submitted.

Don't dull o-They read every litte thing you upload , how they interprete it tho is anyone's guess.
