Mortiple and stanech

I think I've found food for the both of you. grin

One of the greatest war generals ever to walk this planet, a field marshal (5-star general), the first Duke of Wellington, Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley. The same general who defeated Napoleon during the Battle of Waterloo and won many wars for the British Empire, from India, to Euroasia, to continental Europe - also cried.

In 1812, Wellington finally captured Ciudad Rodrigo by a rapid movement as the French went into winter quarters, storming it before they could react. He then moved south quickly, besieged the fortress of Badajoz for a month and captured it during one bloody night. On viewing the aftermath of the Storming of Badajoz, Wellington lost his composure and cried at the sight of the bloody carnage in the breaches. ref [Holmes (2002). p. 162.].

Crying can be therapeutic, though I'm not a fan of crying when things are bad - I only shed tears of joy. Now, show us any army officer in history that ever eloped from the battlefield, while leaving his troops at the mercy of the enemy, that wasn't court-martialed for being a coward.
Oga show us the video of the general crying or tell us why. and how he cried. I bet he didn't kneel down and cry like a baby. I tell you brother that this is the first time I have seen a man cry like this. Fake general

Even ojukwu was a Lt colonel and he remains a hero to us.

Of course you will love a man that sacrificed your over 3m parents for his own ambition. Igbos are mumu so its no news, he is a coward to everyone and even Biancar's father called him a CANTANKEROUS COWARD. He fought with Nigeria and sacrificed his kinsmen, yet he came back to contest election in that same Nigeria. Thats an insult to those that fought with him, he is a disgrace to all sane men.
I am not sure you know the meaning of d word disgrace. it is meant for a general that can kneel down like a school kid for his fellow general and cry like a small boy.
ojukwu even in death is still a hero among his people. forget about the 3m people that died during the war they are heroes too but for your general he is a disgrace to his colleagues across d world.

I bet if a us general watch this video he will just think Nigerians are cowards not knowing it is just only one tribe that has no balls

SirShymexx:
Not condoning what he did cos a fine soldier should always fight his way out of trouble for survival or accept his faith. Crying won't solve any problem.

However, the biggest coward is the officer who ran away while leaving his troops at the mercy of the enemy. That's not allowed in any military on the planet and whoever does that would be court-martialed.

Anyway, here is a video of US soldiers crying in Afghanistan (and it isn't just Afghanistan, a lot of them including officers cried during the Korean war and Vietnam war. Ditto Israelis during the Hezbollah war in 2006. So I don't think he's alone):

Sucked Abacha's balls indeed. A coward that flee from battle while his people are killed like chicken, you all have no single shame at all. 3M of his people were sacrificed and he ran away in the middle of the night like a cursed a.shewo, is that not a big disgrace. He never lost any member of his family, but gullible people from the Southeast sacrificed there men and women for the overambitious Abijan coward. Pathetic.
ojukwu was a great man you can see that during his burial he was honoured as a true leader of the Igbo we love him and respect him a lot but this man will only be remembered for crying and weeping like a girl.

your general nay not have put on female cloths like ojukwu but I bet he's more feminine than Bianca I am sure a little girl can beat the hell out of this general

fleeing from a battle is far more respectable than wining and crying like Nkiru sylvanus in a Nigerian movie.
I bet he would have sucked abachas balls if he was asked to

Those saying Ojukwu ran away don't know anything about warfare.

I bet I can dig out instances in history of war lords fleeing in battle when they see they can no longer hold it. sometimes they flee to other towns or cities or countries but the only few generals that have ever cried or begged from their life are Nigerian generals for a particular tribe.

so so pathetic

Midehi:
whats this one talking about...coming down to your terms, you think if Jim is faced with death physically,he wont beg with tears?

Thats your own thinking, Diya had his own thinking then too before he did that.

The main point is where is the tyrant that sentenced him?
I am not sure you know what it means to be a general. even if death stares a general in d face he still put on a bold face and stand his ground. Army generals don't cry like a child kneeling down with catarrh running down their nose.
this scene is similar to the go and die saga oshomole and the widow. how can a general stoop so low.

when he was already sentenced to death?
dont give me that crab of army general jor....this was death in his face, who knows whether it was the same 'weep' that turned things around for him that the one who dugged the grave was the one that finally fell inside the grave.
bros he was. a general with lots of men under his command. even if death is staring him in his face hr is supposed to be brave and not weep like Nkiru sylvanus in cry for help

how can a general weep? what will make a general that really got that rank on merit cry like a baby ?
no wonder ojukwu had d balls to engage them in a 3 years battle. If not for d assistance from the western world sha.

What stops us from condemning SA now and coming out later to discuss our internal crisis. You folks give SA citizens on here ready excuse for the killings ther
I am against wat is going on in sa every Nigerian should condemn it.

But we are doing worse to our own people over here. my brothers in d north live in fear. every little cartoon drawing of Mohammed will lead to d killing of hundreds or thousands of people yet we ignore all that and condemn south Africa that have not even killed about 5 Nigerians yet if that's not hypocrisy then what is?
