Truckpusher: Most of them are dumb ,they don't understand how the economy and the politics works here.
When Amaechi was turning Goodluck in to moi moi how many minsters from the Niger Delta nominated by Jonathan confronted him?
Amaechi is powerless and would soon become useless - In fact with his antecedent there is no way that jagaban and Buhari will let him come in too close.
He'll remain a political orphan unless he's ready to sell to the PDP a silver bullet that would bring down the APC in 2019 else he has no bargaining chip - His only hope of installing a stooge called Dakuku failed woefully as the political structure of the state has been hijacked by the real owners of the state.
Nyesom Wike and those sons of Rivers State did a nice job out there.
Amaechi.....NTOI well aaid . Giving a formal governor of rivers state commissioner for nddc is actually an insult it is not an upgrade at all. I am not sure bihari will make him minister of petroleum that will be a job for his most trusted ally probably a notherner amaechi go don't dey cry now its game over for him |

atlwireles: The sad reality for him is the complete lack of trust, the incoming powers in Abuja have for him. Nobody places their trust on a character like Amaechi. The APC leaders know, he is a man ready to sell them out at the turn of a kobo, so they wll keep close eyes on him. His actions in River State are an eye opener for them. He might end up as an ambassador to some country. he will not even be accepted in rivers state and remember that there will be no salary for ministers. under buhari. that guy go beg |

Josegun: Go and write it down, Amechi will decide what happen in Niger-Delta as far as this regime is concern when it comes to Ministerial position, development or whatever from the Federal Government. And trust him, he will lord it over them. how much is nddc budget? how much is rivers allocation? he should enjoy his federal boy boy work but as far as rivers is concerned he is gone |

kaybams1: Wike's Victory and some People's joy about it is one of the few mysteries am still finding hard to understand. Is this not the same Wike we know? This is someone that couldn't achieve jack in all the appointments he got in Jonathan's regime. He was always in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Besides have you heard the man speak? So aggressive, pugnacious and malicious. He doesn't even apply any modicum of diplomacy and intelligence when interviewed. Yet he never forgets to take his immense arrogance along wherever he goes. He's a Journalist's nightmare.
Yet because of this newly found Jonathanist Religion sweeping through SS and SE, anyone that votes against PDP is labelled a betrayal regardless of the incompetence of the PDP candidate. Its a new low in SS politics and time is the only surest thing I know will make this clear to them.
NB: Please this is a personal opinion and anyone is free to disagree if you choose to. However, do it with civility and void of insults. We are Homo Sapien Primitive Animals. it is d peoples choice bro take it or leave it |

Politics › No Woman Governor For Nigeria Yet As Apc’s ‘mama Taraba’ Is Defeated by stanech(op): 5:09pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/181407-no-woman-governor-for-nigeria-yet-as-apcs-mama-taraba-is-defeated.htmlExpectations by Nigerians that Saturday’s election would yield the first female governor in Nigeria’s history has been dashed. The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Taraba, Aisha Al-Hassan, who put up a strong showing in the race and who was thought to have won as collation continued into the second day, has now been defeated. At the end of collation of votes from all 16 local government areas in the state, Ms. Al-hasan polled 262, 381 votes to emerge runner- up in a keenly contested election. The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Darius Ishaku, polled 326, 198 votes to emerge the state’s governor-elect. As results of the election from the local government areas trickled into the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, Ms. Al-Hasan, fondly known as Mama Taraba by supporters, at some point overtook her main challenger, Mr. Ishaku. This triggered nationwide celebration by people who thought Ms. Al-hasan was on her way to becoming the first female governor. But the votes from Sardauna, the last local government being expected, has just arrived, dashing hopes of Nigeria getting her first female state executive. INEC’s final collation is on-going and the electoral body is expected to declare PDP’s Mr. Ishaku the winner of the election. |

barcanista: PDP won majority of Reps, with ÀPC winning just 3. PDP won 2 Senate leaving 1 to APC(2011 reverse). APC sweep the EDSHoA seats. THe PDP has the most important(NASS majority) while the APC enjoys SHA majority and Governor seat. The battle for 2016 is just kicking off. Like I pointed out in one thread, PdP will takeover the Government House in Benin.
May God Spare our lives I can assure you sir that. those PDP reps and senators got lucky because those vote. they got was because of Gej APC has Edo state on luck down and I am a. PDP supporter the first election was about Gej the second was about Oshomole you can hate him all you want but he is loved by majority in Edo state. my. only fear is his dictatorial habit might increase noe that his party is. at the center |
