For your first point, who says you should not move forward? Isn't the Uju herself moving forward? Are you denying the continuous collective damages Britain is causing in Africa?

I have already said I will not comment further on your second point because I cannot force the truth into your brain.

For your third point, you sound so childish. Many Africans that school in Africa defeat the whites in many professions. Even the Africans that school in the whites' countries use African brains, not American or Asian brain.
1. You are not being truthful, if she was moving forward why the vile attack on the Queen. Whatever damages you are talking about na you sabi. Nothing will happen in Africa today without their consent.

2. Your opinion can never be classified as the truth.

3. Lol I'm laughing at you because you believe that you can beat them in the form of Education they taught you. African can only make scanty and individual moves of brilliance here and there but overall they still leads.
You didn't even see where I referred to the aircraft and car engine issues. Why haven't the African nations been able to replicate it if they are that brilliant. Am I talking about health care, ? Your foolish leaders always run to them immediately they sense a headache, why can't they stay in Africa and tap from our "brilliance"?

This is the kind of discussions that people should really debate. But I'm sure it will very soon turn to insults.

This is my own opinion though: I don't believe that Africans can't handle complex processes like advanced technology and science because they lack the mental capacity for such.
If that's the case how come we have blacks excelling across the world? The problem is that the home front is led by idiots. If we have leaders who can implement the right policies we will do well.

Look at University lecturers strike for example. A serious government will know the right policies to forestall such things even before getting into office. Without solid education we will never improve as a nation. Those blaming Britain and the queen do not know what they're saying. Colonialism ended long ago, why haven't we developed since then? We're too factional. We lack sense of purpose because we lack patriotism. You have your answer to why Africa is the way it is with the way Nigerians are going about this election. No national front.
What can I say comrade?
This continent is just a giving out bad signals that make everyone believe we can never get beyond this. Forget Nigeria first it's a Paradise compared to some African nations. I was in Uganda few months ago and the kind of poverty I saw there can never exist in the western world.

Should we also blame the colonial masters for the poverty which was obviously caused by their leader who are not out for their own good.

For your first point, if Britain has apologized or at least stopped its crimes in Africa, Uju will not do what she does now. Uju mentioned in one of her tweets that African and some other countries in other continents deserve apology.

For your second point, I am not supporting or trivializing the bad things Africans do to themselves. But your second point shows you are ignorant of what happened during Biafra genocide and what happened in Kenya. No need to argue further about it because I cannot force you to accept the truth.

For your third point, if Africa is not destined for greatness, how come Africans with no genetic connection with the whites break records in the countries of the whites? And, why do the whites depend on African resources for their own greatness? I used Niger Delta as an Illustration. If you are sure of your claim, tell me that Niger Delta is destined to surfer.
1. So because Britain didn't apologise we shouldn't move forward. By the way the way we troop to the UK sends a signal that we we don't even want an apology. How can you want an apology from your supposed oppressors yet you wouldn't leave them alone.

2. I know very well what happened during the war and Britain didn't cause the war for us. We caused it ourselves. They were not the ones that told the Nigerian to commit the coup that led to the war. If they choose to pick a side, it's for their own interests which is the number one human instinct. Everyone is selfish including you.

3. They perform well because the whites were brilliant enough to create a thriving system for them if not why couldn't they thrive well in Africa. Niger delta resources wouldn't have been a source of income for them had the colonists not discovered the use and importance of such resources. The black Africa wouldn't have discovered such.

1.
You missed Uju's points. Uju is not dwelling in the past. She is not lamenting over what happened in the past. She is talking about what started in the past and is still happening. Britain has not stopped tormenting African countries. The only thing I condemn in Uju's tweets about the queen is where Uju wished the queen pain.

2.
Even if Britain has ended it's atrocities in Africa, has Britain apologized?

3.
If Africa is not destined to be great, how come Africans do great things and how come the greatness of the West depends on the resources from Africa? Your logic is like saying the poorly-developed Niger Deta is not destined to be great just because Northern elites use the wealth from the Niger Delta to develop the North.
1. She definitely is talking about the past if not she wouldn't put theiving and genocide in her attack.

2. Wether Britain apologises or not it doesn't change the fact that we have done more harm to ourselves than the colonists. We should move on already.

3. It very clear for you to see that we are not destined for greatness you just chose to play the ostrich. It's true that Africans perform better when they go to the advanced world but back in Africa, they can't never achieve much because our mentality cannot handle the intricacies of greatness. And like I said our resources would've been useless if the westerners didn't create a use for them.
PoliticsUju Anya And Her Vituperations by Starcrest1(op): 2:02pm On Sep 12, 2022
Uju Anya is being myopic and is not seeing the clear picture. Nature made it that Black Africa was never intended to be great and it's nobody's fault. I also think she is troubled.

I was watching the intricacies and specialization involved in the process of manufacturing an aircraft the other day and I came to a conclusion that Africa can never dream of going into such an endeavour. It's not an insult but we are mentally lazy. There was even a joke about aircraft where professors who boarded a jet were informed that their students manufactured the jet and all of them scrambled to disembark, only one of them stayed back. When asked why he stayed back, he replied that he was sure if his students manufactured the jet, it wouldn't even take off in the first place.

Just look at the kind of leaders that we have, they can't even create a stable system. Look at the institutions, everyone is doing as he/she likes. The resources in the first place would be useless to us if the westerners hadn't created a use for them in the first place. Crude oil would have been useless if Carl Benz didn't invent petrol powered engine. Funny enough, 140 years later, the black African people
still haven't learnt how to manufacture the engine.

My point is we could only try but naturally, we can never catch up with the westerners resources or not.

Politics2023 Election Regional Analysis by Starcrest1(op): 1:58pm On Aug 02, 2022
NB: This analysis is on ideal basis and all things being equal. So let's set the record straight since some people think that regional politics is enough for them.

Registered voters by Region
NW — 22.67 million voters
SW — 18.3 million voters
SS — 15.2 million voters
NC — 14.1 million voters
NE — 12.8 million voters
SE — 11.49 million voters

Here it goes based on regions, SE and SS will go to Peter Obi, SW will go to Tinubu, NE will go to Atiku.
Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso will share NW votes in that order. Lastly NC will be shared equally among the candidates.

Based on the above analysis;
1. Peter Obi = 11.49 million (SE) + 15.2 million (SS) + 3.525 million (NC share) = 30.215 million votes.

2. Bola Tinubu = 18.3 million (SW) + 6.67 million (NW share) +3.525 million (NC Share) = 28.50 million votes.

3. Atiku Abubakar = 12.8 million (NE) + 10 million (NW share) + 3.525 million (NC share) = 26.33 million votes.

4. Rabiu Kwankwaso = 6 million (NW share) + 3.525 (NC share) = 9.525 million votes.

Now you see why they are attacking Peter left right and centre. Tinubu and Atiku should go and beg Kwankwaso to step down lol.
PoliticsRe: The Misconception About Votes From Northern Nigeria by Starcrest1: 7:39am On Aug 01, 2022
This analysis is on point. But let me add something, You could see how northerners voted Buhari always even though he changes party like water, parties without structure. This is for the structure people.

Secondly this time around, three people that will share the northern votes are Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso, so I wonder how they will be banking on the bulk votes there. Obi is winning this unless two people steps down from the three I mentioned above.

HealthIs Undetectable Really = Untrasmittable? by Starcrest1(op): 2:43pm On Mar 27, 2022
https://www.nairaland.com/7041744/hiv-epidemic-lekki-ajah-island

The thread above prompted me to go run a HIV test last week, wheeeew! Thank God it was negative after all my escapades. I swear, condom is a must from now on because Lagos can be a very dangerous place.

That brings me to the topic of the discussion, the WHO has recently been campaigning that People living positively on retrovirals for up to six months are virtually Undetectable( ie there are less than 20 copies of the virus in a drop of their blood) and so can't transmit the virus through even unprotected s*xual acts.

This is in addition to some ideas flying around in the social media space that the virus is not easy to transmit through heteros*xual s*x acts. In fact, the CDC pegs the chances at 1 transmission in 2500 exposures for hetero.. men and 1 in 1250 for hetero.... women. This though does not mean that there must be 2500 or 1250 exposures before transmission can occur. Take it as a basket containing 2500 white balls and 1 red ball, 2500 white balls represent non transmission and 1 red ball represents transmission. Now what are the chances of someone picking the red ball from the basket. Chances are though that it could be picked on the first try but low.

Also there's this lady on YouTube that has been so vociferous on her stance that women don't give it to men because of her own experience, although some other women has been coming forward to her to support the claim based on their experiences too.
According to her, she got it from her ex who injected drugs but unknowingly she was having unprotected s*x with the current boyfriend for more than a year before she fell sick and was diagnosed. Fortunately though, her boyfriend tested negative.

My conclusion is, if anyone has a tangible evidence that U = U, let the person come forward, thank you.
For me if I can even abstain, I will but son of man is finding it difficult.
Foreign AffairsUSA Vs Russia by Starcrest1(op): 7:00am On Mar 01, 2022
Since this Ukraine vs Russia dispute started, many have taken sides, some for Ukraine while some For Russia. The western world are also in support of Ukraine while some Nigerian urchins are here edging Putin on trying to justify his invasion of Ukraine; going as far as giving instances on when the US invaded other nations.

First of all the American invasions are in no way similar to what Russia is doing right now. America invades countries who look for their trouble first, this is a fact (if emotions would allow the Putin urchins they should go and read history). "Assault" and "Self defense" might have something in common but they are never the same, one would walk in court but the other would go to jail.

Now Russia were the first to start this oppression and were still the ones that invaded yet people are cheering them on. Well I have nothing much to say but they should enjoy their sanctions in full.

Lastly the US have my support to tame any upcoming Hitler, Idi Amin or Milosevic. Imagine what would happen if US doesn't have the power to do what they are doing or if Russia were the ones with such powers. Just imagine! For Ukraine to be looking west in the first place shows that Russia is a sucker.!!!

A quote of Christ's words about the different severities of sin is unrelated to the Pope's comments?!
At least, your intent is now clear.
Heh
Lols that was why I stopped arguing with him. He clearly read my topic but is still arguing that the bible verses are unrelated to the topic, talk about being delusional.

The two bible verses clearly stated that all sins are not the same and the Pope went further to clarify by stating the sins which are most serious according to the teachings of the Catholic church. This is so that people can identify those grave sins and avoid them but the guy is here giving people false teachings, he might just be the antichrist.

The Mortal sins by the way are listed according to the catholic theology.
Pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth. The basis for this could be found in many bible verses most especially Gal.5:19-21.

1. How can your soul belong to God when you clearly indicated that your pope is instead the custodian of the agreement which you are supposedly in with God? Did you not know that no one who belongs to God can serve two masters? undecided

2. But even what you said is not what the pope is recorded to have said in any way or form. According to the Pope's argument, pride and hatred are more serious sins, a claim that is not of God or Jesus Christ, His Law. undecided

3. As for your claim that only God knows the sins which are serious, that too is against God as it suggests God's Law is meaningless in providing us details of sin and God's Truth. undecided

Sin, for those of us who are of the New Covenant, is as clearly defined in the almost 100 laws given to us by Jesus Christ, God's Law and agreement between God and individuals in the Kingdom of God. undecided

Sin refers to direct disobedience of any of the almost 100 commandments of God's Law to us, and the judgment at the end of all sins, regardless of how you personally chose to rank it in your mind is the same - eternal damnation. Whether a one is guilty of adultery or mass murder, the end is the same - eternal damnation. undecided
No need to argue with you because it's obvious you can't understand what you read. The Pope Obviously got that from the hint Jesus Christ gave which I stated before but you are too daft to understand.

I also quoted a Bible verse which you conveniently overlooked. This is not about damnation or whatever you are hallucinating about. The verse obviously stated that some kind of sins shouldn't be prayed about because they lead to death of the soul. But there's is no need to continue this argument with you.
Since you know more than the Pope, go and commit any type of sin you like since all of them are the same .

I'm not here to argue on the list of sins which are grevious or not, what I'm saying is that all sins are not the same just as the Pope rightly said. Only God knows the sins which are serious to Him and Jesus gave a hint on it. You just want to argue unnecessarily if you don't want to see where the Pope is coming from.

This is in response to the previous thread where the Pope stated that Sexual sin is not the most serious sin. https://www.nairaland.com/6887856/pope-francis-sexual-sins-not#108347050

I saw different arguments there but I was even baffled that some were insulting the Pope to the extent of calling him the anti-Christ.
First of all the Pope is the custodian of the Christian faith and wouldn't just come out and make unguarded statements he's not sure about. The literature in the Vatican archives is enough to give him enough knowledge.

That said; to cure the ignorance of some people, 1 John 5:16 makes this clear:
16 If you see a believer commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray to God, who will give that person life. This applies to those whose sins do not lead to death. But there is sin which leads to death, and I do not say that you should pray to God about that.

17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which does not lead to death.(Good news).

For those insulting the Pope, that could be one of the sins that leads to death, who knows??
