A2O2: Goodmorning nairalanders. Thank you all for all the updates and encouragement. I am in a dilemma. My husband has HND and he wanted to go for masters in UK. He reached out to an agent and the agent told him that he can’t go for masters with HND. The agents told him not to worry and he collected 300k for the admission application. He also collected additional 200k for visa processing asides from the visa application fee. All documents used for visa application was gotten by my husband and they are genuine documents. My husband later got to know that he forged Bsc certificates for him. He used that and the HND to get admission for my husband. My husband got the visa and has paid tuition deposit.
My mind keeps telling me that he might get caught. I told him but he said there is nothing he can do now as he has already paid tuition deposit and there is no refund. He is to travel this April. He said the agent told him that they won’t verify the certificates and if they want to, he should present only his HND. I’m scared for my husband.
P.S: This is beginning to bring problems in my marriage. My husband said he didn’t know he used a fake certificate for him until when he was about going for biometrics when the agent mentioned it to him. My husband is an honest man who was deceived but now he can’t afford to forfeit £5,500. My advice : Forfeit the admission, forget about the visa and face the reality now. Let him reapply for another course/another school that accepts HND. If lies go for 10 years, the truth will definitely prevail one day. Your name will be published on newspaper, you will be deported and banned. Thus making it difficult for other genuine applicant to apply directly to UK schools with student copy of their certificate, and UK school starts demanding for the official mailing of your credentials through your institution. Please save yourself now and not later! I mentioned it last week for people to stop patronizing agents. These agent know nothing about travelling from lekki to oshodi, not to talk of travelling abroad. |

Marian007: Hi all, I’m a silent reader. I’m reaching out in regards to my sister. She left for the UK early this month and didn’t enroll at her university. She was given 2 years visa for a two years msc course. She said she intends working part time for a year and applying to a cheaper school with one year masters for the 2nd year of her visa. She confessed to me that she lent her boyfriend her school fees and the man said he will pay her back monthly starting from next month. She doesn’t have any money left with her that is why she hasn’t enrolled. She doesn’t want me to tell our parents. She said her boyfriend told her that she won’t be in trouble once she gets admitted to another school by year 2. Kindly advise her. She is also on this forum. wow... This thing we call Love ehnnn...Sorry to say, Your sister is very extremely dump. The best is to inform your Parents early now and see if they can borrow her the second school fees . Destroying your dream and destiny for the sake of a boyfriend that doesn't wish you well. |

adesammie: Hello Gurus in the house,
I did my biometric and interview last week Monday. And I received a mail from Sheffield yesterday that a telephone interview will be conducted today by 9.30 am. I have been waiting but no call from them however, I later received a mail saying they've been trying to contact me but couldn't get me. I have provided alternate number but still no call.
Why could they be asking for another interview after the initial one?
What should I do since I have been waiting and no call?
Can I call them? And how do I do that since I have to pay through my debit card?
Someone should help a brother. 9.30am Nigerian or British time ? |

Bankalert: Just came back from the UK, London specifically on a 3 day visit, through my Office(Goverment office). My experiences so far have been a bit overwhelming. But to an extent, I wouldn't consider moving permanently to the UK. Within the three days I stayed and toured London, I learnt quite enough to know to remain in Nigeria if UK is the only option I have. I hope to go there for studies though this year and come back....
But my plan is to move to another Country in Europe after my studies in UK. Is this feasible? I mean using a UK certificate to work in let's say Germany, France or Finland for example. lols. Weldone o.... abeg study MSc in Nigeria and use Nigeria certificate to move over to Europe.. |

Sommydisaster: From this point I can deduce that you're not alright
Talking about money, I don't speak while eating
I believe you've have your phone, go back to our conversation and see if I didn't tell you all these
You and the NURWT are not just okay, if I had the mentality to scam other persons, the guy that bought an item worth one million naira (1,000,000) would have been the one I'd scam
Madam just because you're abroad doesn't make you think you're more enlighten than others
I repeat always make research before you speak up or text, don't make me loose the respect I had for you
Don't I send you the voice recordings of our conversation anytime I call him
Please go and sort out the issues with the haulage while I go to their park today and make some complains If you are 100.00% alright What has abroad has to do with this topic now? |

I would like to seek your advice on how to proceed if she wants to teach in UK and process. If you are a family man or woman and your spouse has teaching qualifications, experiences or TRCN... apply for admission for yourself and look for money to pay half tuition and move over. Let your spouse be your dependant to be eligible for full time job position and when they come over here... they get the necessary teaching licence and start working as a teacher which makes it easier to pay your full tuition fees plus a saving grace for your spouse to get tier 2 visa sponsorship so you can apply as the dependant after your studies . Forget all those other top jobs with highest pay, it's difficult to get such here. Nobody cares about your overseas qualification if you don't do another Professional examination, training or no UK experience to get their licence. So many Engineering graduates, biochemist, bank managers from Nigeria working as a sales boy/girl, cleaner, carer or support worker in UK. But with Teaching, you are good to live a comfy life in UK |

I have put all the necessary information here for others to adhere to. If you have any question, kindly mention me . Kindly follow the guidelines and May God bless our Hustle. Nigeria is not yet on the list so it's making it difficult for registered TRCN from Nigeria to apply. https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/explore-my-options/overseas-applicants

Aphrodite007: You do the maths yourself sir:
If you know in your heart that you won’t fight with your wife when she comes here and because she doesn’t want to do all she used to do in Nigeria, then you can come under her. It’s cost efficient and very flexible. You just sit in your house and be applying for jobs while learning one or two courses in Udemy- no pressure.
If you know you will vex and fight with your wife and consider divorce, better close your eyes and spend the money and be on your own o (luckily it’s on the shortage list) so we won’t hear stories that touch the heart. Perfect advice and very straightforward |

famzynet: @Stenon, sorry to bother you once again. Your experience as a teacher in the UK is invaluable ,thus the numerous questions.
I have a sister who has HND degree in Mass communication, then post graduate diploma in education and 13 years experience teaching junior and senior classes English Language and literature in one of the Air Force secondary schools in Nigeria. She now wants to pursue the UK dream. She has TRCN certificate. I am aware she will need IELTS for visa immigration 1) what are the chances of her getting a job with tier 2 sponsorship? 2) Will English language teaching job even be available considering that UK speaks English as first language? 3) She is 47 years, though look younger than that. Can this be a limiting factor or do people above 60years teach in the UK? No need for IELTS. 1.The probability is Yes or No. 2. Yes 3. So many English teachers are needed for non native english speakers. 4. Her Age should not be a limiting factor. 1st step : You must be a recognised teacher from Nigeria and registered with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. 2nd : Pay and send your documents to UKNARIC for Statement of Comparability via https://uknaric.org/If you are in England, you can apply for Assessment only Route (AO) with your UKNARIC and be employed directly by school. But if you are in scotland, the following steps are still applicable to you after getting your UKNARIC... 3rd : Pay and register with Graduate Teaching Council of Scotland to check your credibility for registation via https://www.gtcs.org.uk/registration/qualified_uk_row-checklist.aspx4th : Contact your Nigeria School head or Subject head as referee 5th : Pay to Get your Police clearance certificate via Nigeria embassy in London 6th : Pay and Register for Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) for the adults 7th : pay and Register for PVG for children If GCTS is fully satisfied with all that, you will then be contacted after few months and given go ahead to pay for application as a Teacher 8th : Pay for your unique Teacher Registration licence Number with GTCS 9th : You are good to go as a Full or probational or conditional Qualified Teacher depending on your experience and credentials. |

famzynet: @Stenon, thanks for your insight into teaching profession in the UK. I am glad to learn that teachers are well paid in UK. Please,my wife studied management education in University with 3.3 cpg and will finish her NYSC by next month. We plan on relocating to the UK anytime soon this year, she will come on a dependent tier 2 visa. 1)Are there programs or exam she can do in Nigeria before she comes over to increase her chances of a teaching job or she has to do them in UK? 2) What type subjects can she fit in with management education degree and at what level of school: primary, secondary or tertiary 3) Will her staying back in Nigeria till she obtains masters be of any advantage in the UK? I am in the medical line and we discussed on her possibly diverting to nursing if the prospect of teachers in UK is poor. I know she would prefer to remain in teaching if the pay is good. Seeing your post sort of raised my hope for her. Thanks. Let her finish her NYSC, hope she is teaching at her PPA? 1. Yes, TRCN. 2. Yes, Primary, secondary plus College level 3. No need for MSc now as I am not even using my MSc for any application. Experience and TRCN is all that's needed now But MSc in management will help her attain the Leadership role as HOD or head teacher after few years of working . To practice as a nurse here, you need to pay for training and certifications, but as a qualified Teacher from Nigeria, no training or schooling is required except some CPD training while on the job. Peace ! |
