rs172: Ok i get now, that means if the start date is 21 September, and i deposit the maintenance fee by May 28, and the 28 days reads to June 25( which is like 2 months 27 days to the course start date), i will be able to get the CAS early or fast. Yes. Perfect. Please for a good chance, Leave the money for 30 days instead of 28 days before sending for your CAS and applying for Visa. |

rs172: Good evening justwise, i just got an admission to Northumbria university, I'm confuse as to how to go by getting CAS, as i read, the CAS is issued 3 months to the course start date, does that means that I'll first get the CAS letter, before i start the 28 days counting, or I'll apply for the CAS within the 28 days or after i make my deposit I'll be given the CAS straight then start the 28 days counting?
I asked this before but i wanna hear from you, in the case i have relative in the Uk, can he help me pay my deposit
@justwise @stenon @lagosismyhome some schools will request for your 28 days bank statement before issuing CAS to you. |

LagosismyHome: It depends on what Visa are you on..
Personally I dont think nursing pays well at all for the stress it is. With your geology bsc there are other ways to package yourself and enter a company or NHS admin staff and grown from there.... it will even give you a similar or more salary than a teacher. You just need to find a sector and know how to package the packageable. however all might depends on what type of Visa
Yes childcare is expensive...easily 800 plus depending on what you go for My boss has spoken . Yes, that's true .... @Janegirl, my advice is for you to follow this advice ASAP |

Travel › Re: I Aspire To Live In The UK, What Advice Do You Have For Me? I Need This. by STENON(f): 9:18pm On Feb 23, 2020 |
I'm 28 and I graduated from a Federal University in 2016, I finished my NYSC April 2018 and I got a job around September 2018, I have been working with a respectable FMCG company in the country and I just got increment and promotion around December 2019 which I am been paid about 100k which I feel finally I can start saving hard because my work place to my home ain't too far, it's trekkable and am not a big spender.
Please, my question is... I have passion to travel out of the country to UK and to stay there and probably have a family over there. I currently have a spouse who is still doing her NYSC but would finish her service year before this year runs out and she aspire to go and study in UK and she's most likely going to stay after unlike me, she has family over there.
What do you think I can do to travel abroad (UK) legally and will make my stay a big success. I am open to any idea, be it schooling or any other means, I graduated with 2.67cgpa in B.Sc. Microbiology. Thank you all in advance for your prompt reply and advice. Congrats . 1st... Get married either on low key or high key level with your spouse to have marriage certificate from the court before she travel out for her studies. 2nd : Let her apply for MSc admission and be granted tier 4 student visa which allows her to work 20 hours a week 3rd..Apply for tier 4 dependant visa based on her student visa status and you will be given full time Visa to work. 4th : Be sure you don't love her because of this abroad stuff, let it be real and genuine LOVE . |

Brodapounds: Hello dear nairalanders.
Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.
Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.
I have two thoughts.
1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.
I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.
Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.
So this is what i plan on doing.
1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25. Will that be advisable?
2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?
3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job. Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.
Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.
Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.
All i want is to take note of good advice.
I already know a reliable traveling agent.
Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.
Please help one advice . Do not invest in any business. |

gsk4reality: I have tried googling before coming up here, testimonies of ppl with real life experiences is better than a vague write up on the internet.
And besides most of the articles on the internet doesn't really take into account the chances of an international students getting a job after study.... He has said the most important thing and the rest is for everyone to make a decision Most especially for those resuming in September . Time is not on your side at all, from first semester to second semester and straight for your dissertation. No time to explore other opportunities of meeting prospective tier 2 employers. Even with the tier 2 visa sponsorship, I have seen engineering graduates here that find it very difficult to secure engineering job because ordinarily certificate will not get you the job here, This is a country with the latest, modern and digital technology ( no source ). You must have their licence to practice coupled withgood knowledge of your field software package e.g. engineering field. UK is more than I have first class in mechanical engineering with 15 years working experience in Nigeria and I wish to apply for tier 2 Visa sponsorship |

BelleFamn: He cried and said he regrets this marriage he is in and he wishes he met me 2 years ago. He says he was on the dating app just to meet companion. He dates women previously just for fun and never had to disclose his marriage arrangement.
He said with me he didn’t think it would go pass what it has with me. He mentioned it’s only been less than 2 months but he felt in his heart he could not hide it anymore .
I cried so much last night because my dream of being a Yoruba wife has now diminished.
We both learned about each other cultures.
I was looking forward to us growing together and we both have shared we see this long term.
Now this ruins it because I don’t know how long he has to go.
My heart is broken. sorry Dear. One more thing, Please also try and do background investigation very well to be sure he doesn't have wife or children back in Nigeria. |
