Every skill that is not analogue is hot market.

First of all, that use what is "hot market" to choose a course....first of all ICT skills does not even require that you get a degree in it (although it can help you see better into the field, I think);

But if you're thinking skills, Graphics Design is Good (But you have to really put your head there so that you'll improve your creativity - the market is quite saturated with 'average designers')

Then there is Web development

Then there is Architectural Drawings

Then there is Web Designer

then there is Digital Marketing

Unless you want to trade a gamble investment, there's no legit "low-risk" investment that will give you 300% profit in under six months Bro. I really applaud your resolve to learn 3d animation...May the universe be in your favour.

1. I'll advise you approach schools and offer to help them type their questions papers (this will give you some good monies) during exam period - Me dey do this one for 3 schools

2. Look for a way to quickly learn graphics design (with possibly a 60k laptop) - Yes, you have to spend to get the money you want....then practice and be try to be good....then offer your services online and even to print shops - if you have the independence to; Your foundation as a graphics designer will greatly broaden your horizon in 3d animation - you can be getting at least (if e too small) 1k per design you do, recover your sixty-tasan and some more

3. But whatever you do, don't delay too much, the person who give you 160k go don dey wait to see the lapi wey you say you buy

4. Approach your pastor, make them contribute to you

5. Approach your Dad, tell him your plan and appeal to him through your mum every weekend - He'll pend some projects and support you if e see that you're really passionate about the dream

6. Calm down...only you wan do animation wan buy cameral for youtube wan buy extra screen....don't let the desperation push you into anyone's hand that will tell you to play 2 ODDS.

I don’t do UI/UX as a matter of fact, but I’m just familiar with the stuff as someone who does frontend development.
Your best bet at this stage would be YouTube.
Search for videos on getting started with UI/UX.
This will show you the tools (figma, Adobe etc), platforms (dribble, behance etc) and other requirements. Your best mentor is the internet, constantly be searching for information.

If you want to be on the safe side since you don't know what you'll be using the pc for in the future, kindly opt for a system with minimum of core i3 or core i5. Core i7 would be going overboard. You can't buy more processors. So it's best you get the highest one within your price range.

Then for the RAM look for 4-8gb RAM. 4gb for now, 8-16gb later when you need it, you can always buy more RAM anytime you want.

For storage, you can get anywhere from 320gb to 500gb. Since you can easily increase the storage, it doesn't matter if you buy a pc with a low storage now as you can easily change it.

If you need your pc to be fast, you should consider SDD storage over HDD. This is when you start using it for heavy software like graphics design, programming or gaming. Otherwise, HDD storage is fine.

Intel celeron is low in terms of speed. Although it is okay for normal browsing, playing music (or DJ work), watching movies.

But once you start loading things into the system, it'll start lagging.

So for now, the best future proof pc incase anything pops up is a system with minimum of:
4gb RAM
core i3 (strongly advise to go for core i5 though, your budget of 100k can afford it)
320-500gb SSD (SSD is faster but more expensive than HDD, so a pc with lower SSD storage will cost more than one with higher HDD).

It doesn't matter if the system has windows 10, 7 8 or any other one, you can easily change it.

If you can get one with independent graphic card then it'll be a great bonus. But the above spec will be future proof enough regardless of the kind of things you want to do with the laptop later on

Create a thread here on Nairaland that will serve like an online CV... List all your skills amd educational qualifications (You can leave out very personal details like dates and addresses Also use Initials instead of full names)....then put a link on your signature.


Then create a Linkedin profile and follow the accounts of those coys you hope to work for.

Create educational contents that may possibly put you on the front page amd expose ur signature to a wider audience on nairaland

Then while you're at it... Improve or learn management skills or digital skills.
