Group President/CE, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote on June 18,2018 commissioned the Dangote Housing Estate built by Aliko Dangote Foundation for Internally Displaced Persons in Maiduguri, Borno State. The estate comprising of the first batch of 200 specially built housing units, is aimed at providing shelter for people affected by unrest in the North East and sustaining government’s reconstruction effort to properly re-integrate them into the society as they resume their normal productive lives.

Speaking at the event,Aliko Dangote stressed on the need to provide more support for IDPs and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to support the worthy cause and help ameliorate the pains and sufferings of people affected by unrest in the North-East.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) handed over the money recovered from the fatal accident that killed eight Edo indigenes on return from Spain for a wedding.

The FRSC recovered over 65,780 Euros (over N27million).The money has been handed over to the accident victims.

This is the only survivor from the accident that happened on the 12th June 2018 around 8:30am

Fatimah and Maryam,the then four months old set of female omphalopagus twins said to be delivered by Caesarean section in Maiduguri on November, 25, 2017, with a combined birth weight of 4.5kg, shared a single umbilical cord and were joined from the mid thorax to the mid-abdomen.

The twins were transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Yola Adamawa State, on March 25, 2018, to be separated.After six weeks of preparation,they were successfully separated on Monday, May 14, 2018, following a four hourssurgical operation.

Investigation revealed that the surgery was carried out free of charge as was testified by Muhammad Ramat 30 and Fatimah Kellu Adam 27 who are the parents of the twins.

Governor Samuel Ortom has called on Barrister Mrs. Aisha Alkali Wakil, popularly known as Mama Boko Haram, to use her expertise and prevail on militia herdsmen to stop attacks on Benue communities.

He spoke at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi during his investiture and that of his wife as Patron and Matron, Scout Association of Nigeria, Benue State Council.

Governor Ortom was also conferred with the Award of Messenger of Peace while the state deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abouno as well as Chief Judge, Justice Adam Onum were installed as Deputy Patron and state president respectively.

A long year mad man who has been roaming on the street of Ikole-Ekiti in Ikole local government area of Ekiti state for over ten years was miraculously healed today, the mad man popularly called 'Pastor' got healed when some members of winners church were going on street evangelism, they met the mad man where he was laying beside the street and he stood up and asked them to pray for him, one woman among the evangelists prayed for him and thereafter the mad man said they should barb his hair for him which they did in the presence of many people that have gathered to witness what was going on.

After the barbing, his behavior and utterances turned normal and was apparently feeling ashamed which signaled that he has regain his mentality, he demanded that they should take him to the church and he was taken to the living faith church (Winners) at Oba Adeleye road, corner Folusho in Ikole  and hundreds of people mobbed the scene to see what has happened.

He gave his name as Adekunle Akomolafe from Akure, He was given soap and water to bath and later said he is feeling sleepy,

I got to the scene and met with the head pastor of the church Pastor Ikechukwu Okafor who gave hint of the whole scenario, he said anyone who wish to see the man should come to the church by 9am tomorrow, he said efforts are been made to get his relations

I am presently writing from the church and as I write, the healed man is just waking up from his sleep that has lasted for over 45 minutes'
