Romance › Re: Why Is It That Ladies In The Bank Dont Marry by StephenP(m): 8:15am On Aug 22, 2008 |
papa_dims: u'r wrong, the ladies don't get married because of three reasons; 1- they have no time for any social activities because they are too busy. 2- some bad ones amongst them tarnish their reputation so many men are discouraged or afraid of getting involved with them, and finally,
no man would want to marry a woman who spend close to 16 hrs every day @ work. for that to happen the man must be patient and understanding which i must confess must men can do. So she should go teach Economics or Math at the local high school even though she's got her Bachelor's degree and wonder when her next salary is gon' come in? (No offense to teachers) Or better still she should open a kiosk in front of the house and sell her goods there? Wait, how about just sitting at home and watch her degree go to waste? I'm not saying women are right for working 16 hours, in fact no one should work that many hours but if that's the best she can get at that time, she should go do the damn thing. |
Romance › Re: Guys With Less Cash Are Less Confident. True Or False? by StephenP(m): 7:58am On Aug 22, 2008 |
I understand where you're coming from there but you have to know, confidence doesn't really have anything to do with the amount of money one has. One can be rich and be the shyest person in the room or not-as-rich and be the most confident person. Sure, it could help some people feel confident but then again it depends on what their priorities are set to.
For example, some feel more confident when they are dressed to impress, some feel more confident when they've got their favorite perfume on, some feel more confident when they've got new shoes on, some like you said feel more confident when they've got money, others feel confident just because they generally are.
All in all, confidence is a personality trait not literarily something money can buy. |

Romance › Re: Why Is It That Ladies In The Bank Dont Marry by StephenP(m): 7:41am On Aug 22, 2008 |
Because they don't want to! There's no rule or commandment saying women or anyone for that matter have to be in a relationship of any sort especially marriage, so why do people make a big fuss about it? Is it so hard to understand? They don't marry because they don't want to, that's it. Besides, the "facts" and percentages on this thread are BS. Matter of fact, I, myself, have found out that 99.5% of all the percentages on Nairaland are grossly made up. |

bigboyslim: Me too. What do we call this, appeal to pity? claiming your girl left you and using your broken heart as a bait to lure another victim into a stagnant relationship. ima1 stick to your hubby jare. I know!! Some dudes need to step up their game, that "brokenhearted" thing doesn't work more. The "Oh she left me for my best friend even after she said she loved me . . . I'm hella handsome by the way and I've got mad money, so I don't know why she left me. Help me!" just doesn't work anymore. blokoncept: christ this is not fair.is it a crime to get meet people online? No it ain't but you crossed the line. |

Hardly the point though, but DAMN you scared me with those pictures. I guess this is the new way to seek attention which then turns out to be a way to fish for compliments. Girl, I think you're hallucinating. You're not anything close to light skinned. . . in fact, no amount of brightness or make up will make me or anyone for that matter think otherwise. You're dark skinned, so live in your skin. |

babadigu: please seun! a short story about what? :porn; love story ; thriller? be precise guy!!! uche1: Oga Seun, I have a good story that based on you description, Not really short story. The story is all about Family, Love , HIV and AIDS blah blah blah. But 25k is too poor for it halla me at bloomstech@aol.com for more info. I will like to be part of production too You both should make more effort to read. The very first post on this thread says: 1) At least 75% of your story should take place in a secondary school. Your 2-5 main characters should be teachers, students, parents, or others in the environment.
2) Your story should tackle issues relevant to secondary school students in Nigeria: sexuality, poverty, academics, strikes, NEPA, etc. It should be a realistic Nigerian high school story. |

Love is never black or white, one person isn't always the baddie and the other the goodie and you have managed to capture that so well. You know how to get to the heart. Hannibal: @ StephenP,
I got to your "role play" thread and just like i thunk. . . . . It centred around love and romance. Isn't that boring? How about some murder scenes or casualties of war. . . .something more thunkful and solemn?? True but there are other topics that can be sad depending on how you look at it like Murder, Fear, Anger, Life Changing Moments. |

Hannibal: I like poems but then its kind of boring when it's not in a battle mode. So why not transform those poems into punchlines to rip someone's heart?? I don't really do poems. . . .I battle. Anyways, i will check your work. I think that's called rap. |
