Late January, one of my neighbours put to bed and I thought it good to give out the remaining baby things I had left . Me and DH already agreed to put a stop to child bearing after the 3rd child came in 2020. Only to find out early February that I was pregnant. Ha! Mogbe! I don't have anything left!!!
I took it in good faith sha and I started buying things all over again. Omo! It wasn't funny as things were overly expensive, they still are.

Early pregnancy had me vomiting nd uncomfortable. Couldn't withstand pleasant smells but I was eating a lot even though I vomit most of the time.

Second trimester was a free ride. Got my energy back but was constant having heartburn and occasional headache.

Third trimester, heartburn and pelvic pain was my companion. At a point, I considered getting
a break from work but I didn't because I knew I'd be tired of sitting at home. I managed till the very day I gave birth.

On 10th November, I told dh that I wanted sex after I got back from work. He was like, are you sure? We had sex that night and at about some minutes after 1.00am, I woke up to a stomach ache. I went to the toilet, did my thing and I went back to bed but the ache didn't subside so I started timing it. It was coming after every 4minute and some seconds.
I was able to manage the contractions till 2.45am when I woke dh up. Told him to put some hot water in the flask and prepare some noddles for the kids against daybreak.
We got to the hospital at exactly 4.24am. I was 6cm dilated. The contractions were coming back to back and I was managing it by breathing through the mouth. Ha my people, I thought boya kpe I was seeing shege until the nurse inject pitocin in my drip. People of the world, I started seeing shege pro max. I screamed o, as my back was on fire. In the space of 30min, I started feeling the urge to poo. I couldn't hold it, I started pushing (my mistake). Even though I was fully dilated but the nurse said I should be patient but I didn't listen.
The baby came out at 6.14am with serious tear to my cervix. The suturing is another story entirely.

In all, I give glory to the Almighty God. It wasn't easy o but looking at my son, it's worth all the pains.

Safe delivery to the remaining mamas. May God make it easy for you all. To the TTC, may God Almighty ease your affairs and grant you pious children that'll be the coolness of your hearts.

We will clock 2months in 2 days time all thanks to God, CS journey no be beans.

Pls my LO refused taking formula for a week now and only feed on breast milk.
My concern is since 3-4 days now he havn't toilet only passes gas that are sometimes smelly ���

Pls is it something I should be worried about??

I don't think it's something to worry about... He would poo... My baby too does same, she takes only breast milk for now and sometimes it takes about 4 days to poo... She might now poo for 2 or 3 consecutive days and go on strike again... I think it's something that comes with taking only breast milk... She passes gas a lot too and sometimes it smells...
You can also talk to a paediatrician about it so that you would rule out any other issues..

See my cappo still dey fear o, I started bathing after 6weeks but won't scrub d CS area(till today, I don't scrub d part) and I apply ori(Shea butter) to d CS area b4 going to d bathroom so that it ll splash water away from dere den apply anoda ori afta drying my body for fast healing but I still feel little sharp pain attyms if I overwork (not everytym sha). The do has bn done self and period neva cum.
My only challenge now is my tummy dat remain very small to go down patapata(am sure it ll still go down wit tym) and how I wan increase my weight back because am nw very lean

Hmmm... Maybe I'll start rubbing Ori too... It might even fade the scar
My tummy didn't get too big when I was preggo so it's not big now.. when my delivery was announced, some people were surprised, one said she didn't know I was pregnant while one said she knew but was thinking I still had about 5 months more..
Errmm.. when you find out how to add weight abeg let me know... I want to add small and all the food I'm eating is not even making me add

Sabi mamas good morning pls I av a question those of u DAT av done cs before is the area above the wound supposed to feel stiff when I wake up especially after lying on my back its discomforting. But moving around I don't feel it and also when breastfeeding and sitting for long the numbness and pulling sensation comes again at times it kind of itches me as if I shud scratch it. I was warned against it though. Don't know again oo am just 3 weeks post cs delivery. The cs cut is healing nicely outside don't know wat to expect again.how long will it take to recover fully from this stiffness and pain

I think the place above the incision is even where all the pain and action happens... I was surprised, the incision itself didn't even pain me as much as the place above it did.. And it was worse when I tried getting up after lying down for a long while. The pain will heal soon but the numbness will be there for a while... Mine still itches me once in a while till now (it even itched me today)

The doctors removed the plaster about 3 or 4 days after the cs and asked me to be rubbing spirit on it at least 3 times a day and when possible leave it to air..
My cleaning was just with rag and water at first. After about 4 days I started using soap and towel, I would tie wrapper around the incision and bath with soap and towel, then use water and towel to rinse off the soap and dry myself... the reason for the wrapper was so that water won't mistakenly touch the incision during rinsing..
2 weeks after the cs when the wound had dried up, I started bathing fully and pouring water on myself without the wrapper over the cut...

Today is the 7th day I've been bleeding. I call it bleeding because the blood is much o.

Talked to a nurse and she said my period is back, and that first period after delivery is always very heavy and last longer. I am two months postpartum btw .
I've never seen anything like this before, this is even much more heavier than d one after delivery. Loosing so much blood is so scary.
Please is that how first period after delivery especially through cs is?
She said If it didn't stop or reduce by weekend I should go to hospital

Mine came 36 days after delivery and lasted about 6 days. Just last week I had the second period sef.... That first period was so heavy for me, heavier than the bleeding after delivery.. it had clots ... It was annoying and frustrating... Normal pads couldn't hold it for the second and third day, exhausted them so I had to use pampers, I was changing every two and half to three hours I think. By the fourth and fifth day it reduced, sixth day wasn't really anything, just scanty stuff... The second period was better, it was just slightly heavier than my normal period.
Body differs but I think it's better to talk to a professional to be sure, considering that yours has lasted this long and is still very heavy on the seventh day..

The saying "sleep when baby sleeps" pls is it working for anyone. Cos whenever I try to lay down on the bed my baby will just wake up and start fussing about.I have kukuma resign myself to till when she will outgrown this stage.

Nope.... Absolutely not working for me, she hardly sleeps... And when she does she doesn't sleep deep, she wakes up to cry at any slight movement or when you put her in bed...
Thank God for my mum.. Baby sleeps with her at night (I express for them) while I stay with her during the day when she's at work.

Hello Everyone,

Our bundle of joy arrived on the 14th of July. Two weeks before the EDD.

I am grateful to God for the bundle of joy.

My wife's pregnancy journey has really taught me a lot.
A week before the baby arrival, my wife and i had gone to the hospital for the normal checks (we dont miss this once everyweek considering she is on Bondomet). When her vitals was check, they said her BP is 130/80 and she should be expecting baby anytime soon.

Few days later, i noticed my wife's leg was swelling but i thought it was just due to the pregnancy pressure. I calmed her down that all was fine. Our appointment was on wednesday but we missed it because i was engaged. But the second day, she dressed up to go lodge a complain about the swollen leg. When her vitals was taken. her BP has shot up to 180/120 (something that was 130/80 a week back). Test was conducted and the doctor said something about SPE (Severe Preeclampsia). I have read about this SPE before and i knew it was something dreadful. There and then, we were faced with either induced labor or CS.

We opted for CS on the spot and it was carried out. I was in the theater with her all through and the surgeon said we made the right decision because if she had opted for induced labor, the baby might not have made it. When the baby was brought out, she wasn't breathing well. They said she has respiratory distress and was placed on oxygen for 5 days. All in all, mother was fine and baby is now hale and healthy.

I must mentioned that what helped with our quick decision was that me and my wife had discussed the idea of having elective CS before that day. So the decision was easy to take.

My advice to expectant da is to always find time to go to antenatal with their wife and doctor's appointment should not be missed for whatever reason. I am assuming what would have happened if we missed our appointment that week.

Your story is just almost same as mine, just that mine was 6 weeks earlier (3 June instead of July 13)... All the same thank God that mother, father and baby is doing very great.. May the baby bring unexplainable joy and happiness to your home... Amen.

Beginning
After our wedding, my wife kept having baby fever. She was always sending me IG videos and talking about how cute a baby was, but I dey run. So finally in October(6 months after our wedding) after much discussion & prayer we agreed to start trying, thinking at least by December the baby suppose enter. Next thing, my wife started feeling a bit sick and decided to do a PT(Pregnancy Test) at home. Omo, this baby no calm down. Na that October gangan, e come. E shock me. �

Funny enough we go do blood PT later for one hospital like that, they said it was negative. I’m like shey una dey whine me ni. Something wey I don see for like 3 strips. We go somewhere else to do another test, which turns out positive and we register there for ANC(Antenatal Care).

1st Trimester
Anyways moving on, 1st trimester was something else. Because there was a lot of nausea, and a lot of vomiting, my wife could barely keep anything down. Also, I was doing most of the cooking, so she could not smell what I was cooking if not she won’t eat. She also said I can’t be using my body spray. No be small thing. There was one time she was vomiting so bad, that her throat was hurting, I think she even vomited blood. I kept trying to do what I can to help.

Then 8th Dec, I see my wife on the bathroom floor, vomiting and water pouring on her head. I have never been so scared, I immediately carried her to the hospital. They admitted her, gave her something to stop the vomiting, and IV fluids. After that, things got a bit easier.

2nd Trimester
Then the 2nd trimester my wife was able to eat more, thankfully. Being pregnant in the heat is crazy. Cos we dey on the fan and AC down. She was having a lot of waist and back pain though, so I was doing a lot of massages. We found out the sex of the baby and I was feeling the baby’s movements.

3rd Trimester
3rd trimester, my wife’s appetite increased but she wasn’t gaining more weight. Cos na baby dey chop am. I continued my duty of sorting food and making sure she was comfortable, cos na both of us get the baby. We switched hospitals to one that’s closer to us, to switch sef na wahala cos first hospital dey delay to give us the medical report.

We are in Week 39 and Gynae said if the baby doesn’t come out by Week 41, she will be induced. Omo. Wahalur
Naso we start with pineapples, dates, plenty jogging, yoga & bedroom workout � make the baby come quick quick.
So when we went for week 40 checkup, and the Doctor decided to do a scan to check if there was still enough fluid in the womb, na so baba talk we have to schedule a c-section tomorrow cos the baby is big(like papa�).

I confuse small, but I recompose. They didn’t let my wife even leave with me, they said they will prep her that night. So I went home to get our hospital bags and some food.

Labour day
By 7 am, they start prepping my wife for surgery. 8 am they begin, 8:09 am, the child is out. Every other thing was done before 9 am. Mother & Child are alright, We thank God.

I saw some mums at the hospital buying Aptamil for their babies, they said it's good. So when buying you'll ask for the one for preterm babies.. I don't know if it's called PRE Aptamil

I also heard of Nan.. the one for preterm is PRE Nan... I bought this one when my milk supply was low but they didn't use it for my baby.. They said she doesn't need formula that I should try and get breast milk

Yes you can give birth at 36 weeks...
I gave birth at 34 weeks and the baby is very fine now.. she had to be put in the incubator with oxygen and monitored because her birth weight was very very low and there was difficulty breathing ... It was lower than what it should have been and that was probably due to the complications I had...
Another woman I met at the hospital who also gave birth at 34weeks carried her baby home without issues and in good health... The baby didn't need incubator or extra stay because the weight and every other thing was fine.

Right from beginning of the pregnancy I planned doing exclusive bf but right now with this weight I've been wondering if breast milk alone can make her add weight?
