yMcy56: Today's pullback/dumping was unexplainable so far, especially in banking sector..... Few other sectors joined towards closing due to panic I guess...... Such moves wasn't expected around this time.....
If it's Peter's school fees mantra, then it can't activate such panic......
If it's the news about FTSE's downgrade, who are they? I think the panic triggered by this was/is unjustifiable! Those guys always have a mission to distabilize the economy, necessary authorities needs to step in to stop their "cra.ze". l came across the FTSE issue on today's market review from a stock brokering firm l am still tryin to make head or tail about it. |

Our self centered and egocentric culture/tradition will never make us progress. A typical black man care not about his fellow man or society but himself alone. He is so wicked, materialistic and lack foresight. He only want to be above everyone, he only want to be worship by others, he would rather deprived his fellow men their privilege at home and takes all the fortunes to somewhere else to enjoy alone.
Like you have rightly said, civilization was probably forced on us because it amaze me how you will loot all resources meant for development of your home or your people and take it to another man's land to enjoy alone with your immediate family. Till tomorrow and tomorrow's tomorrow what you have written bolded still dey baffle me. |

ijustdey: Obasanjo: When I was military head of state, we ordered 19 new ships to be built for the Nigerian National Shipping Line (NNSL), which was owned by the federal government. We had about five at the time, and with 19, we were to have 24 ships. We took delivery of some before we left office. President Shehu Shagari took delivery of the remaining balance. When I returned after 20 years, the shipping line had been liquidated. Not one ship left. Let me tell you the story of one of the ships. They sold it for half a million dollars. Then, they started the Oron merchant navy school and needed a ship for training. They bought the ship they had sold for half a million dollars for $2 million and spent another $1.5 million to refit it so it could be seaworthy.
The ship went on the first voyage a week after I became president in 1999. One of the first things they brought to me was that the ship had been arrested for not being seaworthy and that I should bring $1 million to pay as fine for the ship that had been detained. I requested that they allow me time to look at the issues, and when I studied the issues, I told them to inform those who arrested the ship that I had gifted them the ship. The following day, the ship was released without Nigeria paying a dime. You can guess what happened there. The above got me reeling with laughter |

Mind you Dangote Rice was not in the equation in 2022, I want to believe Dangote Rice is more profitable than NASCON.
With the recent ban on exportation of rice by Indian government in order to reduce the high cost of the product in Nigeria. I see Dangote Rice doing very well going forward I saw the news too and was just wondering could it be could it be........... |

phoinix: The book value of Dangsugar before the exchange loss was 14 naira, and Nascon was approximately 7 naira. I estimate that Dangote Rice should be between 14 and 7 naira. Assuming dangote Foods opens at 100 naira.
Based on the above data, the worst-case scenario from Dangsugar's perspective would be a 2:1:2 sharing or 2/5, or 40% of 1 Dangote Foods stock. The best-case scenario would be a 2:1:1 or 2/4, or 50% valuation.
If a Dangote Foods stock opens at 100 naira, then we can translate that to a current value of 40 or 50 naira respectively. So, if Dangote goes above 60 before restructuring, it would be slightly better to sell and buy back after. That is, if it opens at 100. If it were to open at 80, selling at above 55 is smart. Just playing with numbers. Will it lead to share reconstruction? |
