I have reviewed the application. Given family ties or economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant's incentive to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country. The applicant's plan of studies appears vague and poorly documented. The applicant's prior travel history is insufficient to count as a positive factor in my assessment. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.

I want to encourage everyone waiting for approvals. From june till Aug were the longest in my life. But I never blamed God. Whenever the thought of what if comes up. I just give thanks.

Am done after msc my bro, PhD was part of my plans before coming here but my orientation has changed, my eyes don open . it disadvantages outweighs it advantages I will be shooting myself in the leg if I decide to go for it. It's ok for those coming directly for PhD but if you are coming for master's and you still want to pursue PhD, you have to think twice and 1st be certain about what you want.

If you are waiting for your passport pickup, it’s possible that it is ready for collection but on the vfs website, it may still be showing Canada office. I experienced this and just wanted to let someone know should in case you are still waiting for your passport pickup. It took five days for mine to be uploaded on the vfs portal meanwhile it had been ready for collection in the five days.

Any update from july guys? I applied june 28th paper route but my application got to the VO july 2nd. Medical has been reading for 3weeks now. Eligibility and background too dey read for more than 5 weeks. School resumes sept 4.

The library is always at your service, it includes everything you need, I didnt buy a single book, i mostly borrow books for my long term study at home but if there is a need for you to buy, students prefer to go for used books because they are super affordable. Books are very expensive in Canada even ordinary note book as well. It so funny how you will attend a conference and they are been stingy to share notebooks, the only thing they give for free is biro

not all have publications. I know guys that don't have publications or work experience but got a supervisor and full funding. Maybe they used their I.T as work experience sha.

you will keep on trying. The one's that responded to me had no funds for me. I guess my cgpa wasn't that Strong. I know of a guy that called the supervisor that accepted him. Just keep on trying.

Good morning fellow nairalanders,

I applied for a study visa through paper route mid June 2019.
I did an upfront medical and indicated that i had done biometrics for an earlier application in 2015 which was previously denied.
It has been silence since then but i got an email on monday from Nairobi saying my biometrics was valid and accepted and now just got another email that my processed passport is ready for collection at the VFS office.

The suspence eh!
Why cant they just tell me my fate in an email?
Please is there a way i can know my fate as i wont be available till sometime next week to go to VFS office.
