In a move that has captured the attention of international observers and economists, Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traore has made the decision to decline financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This decision marks a significant moment for the West African nation as it navigates its economic and political landscape. The IMF, known for providing financial support to countries in need, had approved a substantial arrangement under the Extended Credit Facility for Burkina Faso, aimed at addressing the country’s balance of payments problems and supporting economic resilience and poverty reduction efforts. However, President Traore’s administration has opted to turn down this offer. This decision could be seen as a statement of economic independence and a desire to pursue a different path towards financial stability and development. It reflects a broader trend of African leaders evaluating the terms and long-term implications of international financial aid. President Traore’s stance may resonate with a growing sentiment for self-sufficiency and a cautious approach to foreign debt. One of the key reasons cited for rejecting the IMF’s assistance is the belief that such aid could perpetuate economic dependency and limit the country’s control over its financial decisions. There is also a sentiment that accepting the aid could keep the country ensnared in a cycle of debt. This perspective aligns with a broader trend among some African leaders who are re-evaluating the long-term implications of international financial aid and expressing a preference for policies that promote autonomy and self-determination. Additionally, the decision reflects concerns about the potential for international financial institutions to influence domestic policy and priorities. By turning down the IMF assistance, Burkina Faso is asserting its financial sovereignty and demonstrating a commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its citizens above external pressures. It’s important to note that Burkina Faso faces numerous challenges, including security issues and the impact of external shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic and adverse weather conditions. Despite these difficulties, the government’s decision suggests a willingness to address these challenges independently, possibly looking towards other forms of partnership and support that align more closely with the nation’s goals and values. Burkina Faso has faced numerous challenges, including security concerns, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and adverse weather conditions, all of which have strained the nation’s economy. Despite these hurdles, the government seems committed to seeking alternative strategies for growth and development. The move has sparked discussions on the sustainability of such a decision and its potential impact on Burkina Faso’s future. Some analysts argue that while this could foster a sense of national pride and control over the country’s resources, it also raises questions about the viability of self-funded development in the face of significant economic challenges. As Burkina Faso charts its course, the international community will be watching closely to see how this decision unfolds and what it might mean for the future of financial assistance and economic sovereignty in Africa. The country’s leadership appears to be signaling a new era of autonomy and self-determination, setting a precedent that could influence the region’s economic policies for years to come. Mark Zuckerberg is known for being one of the wealthiest CEOs in the world, but he doesn’t always flaunt his money. In many ways, the Meta founder chooses a lifestyle that is not too far off from the average person. He ditches the traditional decadence of the ultra-wealthy and opts for a more simple way of life. Zuckerberg’s frugal habits, however, do not extend to his charitable giving. In December 2015, the social media chief executive pledged to give away 99% of the Facebook shares owned by him and his wife, Priscilla Chan. At the time, the holdings were worth over $45 billion. While the philanthropist does spend jaw-dropping amounts of money on some items, he continues to make headlines for living a less-than-opulent lifestyle. Here are five things he won’t waste money on. 1. Expensive Clothes Instead of a carefully tailored Italian suit, Zuckerberg opts for a more casual look. He is frequently photographed wearing T-shirts and jeans. He was often criticized for his work attire, which some felt was not reflective of his status as a CEO. However, he remained steadfast for years, wearing the same gray T-shirt, hoodie and jeans to the Facebook offices each day. Zuckerberg isn’t the only successful businessman to wear an outfit on repeat. As discussed in Smart Company, the co-founder’s low-key apparel was a choice to help him reduce the number of decisions he had to make each day. He is well-known for stating that he tries to eliminate the number of nonessential decisions he has to make each day, which apparently includes what to wear in the morning. 2. Pricey Cars In addition to his non-flashy wardrobe, Zuckerberg is also known for driving less than luxurious vehicles. While he may own a fleet of them, many are affordable. According to some reports, including Way.com, he at one time owned a Honda Fit and a Volkswagen Golf MK6. The Harvard dropout is not the only one of the world’s wealthiest to drive cars that can be owned by the middle class. As reported by CNBC, Michael Bloomberg drives a Chevrolet Suburban and Jeff Bezos has been seen in a Honda Accord. At GOBankingRates, we asked experts why the rich drive cheap cars and found that many of them value practicality and functionality over luxury. 3. An Over-the-Top Wedding Mark Zuckerberg tied the knot with Priscilla Chan in 2012, nearly a decade after meeting her at a college party. The two have made headlines for their philanthropy and their not-so-decadent wedding. Just one day after Facebook went public, the two exchanged vows in their Palo Alto backyard. The wedding was hush-hush, with guests believing they were attending Chan’s medical school graduation party. The understated affair was catered by local restaurants and likely cost hundreds of thousands of dollars less than the typical billionaire’s wedding. 4. A Huge Salary While the Meta founder is a billionaire, he doesn’t spend money on a salary for himself. In 2023, he made a salary of only $1, carrying on the tradition that he set a decade earlier. The self-made businessman, however, isn’t hurting for cash. Most of his earnings are classified as “other compensation.” The majority of the compensation is spent on security for Zuckerberg, according to the report. 5. Luxury Vacations While the rich and famous are known for taking lavish vacations to otherworldly destinations, Zuckerberg and his family tend to fly under the radar. They don’t seem to feel the need to flaunt their wealth, choosing instead to keep their vacations more down to earth, like the one they took to Kauai, where they ate the island’s famed burgers and visited local shops. While his trips may seem relaxed and cost-effective, Zuckerberg doesn’t always pinch pennies. He is said to own a multimillion-dollar compound on the island of Kauai. The property serves as a getaway for him and his family. It was allegedly under construction in December 2023 with plans for a “huge underground bunker.”

Getting money to rent a house is not easy abi? So getting money to buy a land and build a house is easy. Common, staying in a house without paying rent is like barbing without paying, how do you want the landlord to survive if that's his only source of money? Any Tennant who can not pay rent should relocate to his village greggng: |
For people like you who like to use the law to destroy people's investment. The landlord built that house to generate revenue but bad tenant who want to live above their means will always want to scatter the landlord's plan. It will take up to 15-20 years before he can recover the money he use in building that house talk more of profits. E.G you are paying 500,000, multiply it by 20 years, that will give you 10,000,000. With the current Chicago situation in Nigeria you can not buy land in Lagos with that money talk more of building on it, now somebody built his house and you are paying rent like daily contribution, please pity the land too #one reason I don't like building houses for rent. |

The reigning NPFL kings have beaten top European teams to the signature of the talented youngster Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba have secured the signing of rising star Daniel Daga on a season-long loan deal, Soccernet.ng reports. The 16-year-old midfielder, who made waves with his performances for the Flying Eagles, completed his move from Nigeria National League outfit FC One Rocket. Daga’s emergence onto the football scene gained momentum during the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, where he stood out as one of Nigeria’s top talents. He earned recognition as the youngest player to be selected for Nigeria’s U20 squad, a testament to his promising abilities, Throughout the tournament, he consistently showcased his talent by starting in every game until Nigeria’s disappointing exit in the quarterfinals at the hands of South Korea. Daga after that garnered significant attention from prominent European clubs, including AC Milan, Liverpool, Anderlecht, Watford, Club Brugge, and Midtjylland in Denmark. However, a crucial stipulation has prevented him from joining any foreign club until he reaches the age of 18. Consequently, Enyimba moved swiftly to secure his signature, fending off competition from other interested parties. Highly ambitious, Daga has set his sights on playing for the biggest clubs in the world, top of which is Real Madrid. Daga’s agreement with Enyimba is structured as a year-long loan deal, with the potential for a permanent transfer if all parties involved express interest. Last season, the midfielder had a loan spell with Dakkada FC, although he struggled to make an impact due to injury and international commitments. Enyimba are poised to participate in the upcoming inaugural African Football League, and the two-time CAF Champions League winners now boast the addition of one of Nigeria’s most exciting talents to their roster.
