Asomugha's $45.3M deal richest for DB

The Oakland Raiders reached agreement with cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on a $45.3 million, three-year contract that makes him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.

Sources said Asomugha is guaranteed $28.5 million in a complicated deal that features a provision in which the entire contract can be guaranteed if the Raiders decide to keep the 27-year-old for the third season.

The seventh-year pro is one of the league's elite cover defenders. He was selected for the Pro Bowl and chosen to The Associated Press All-Pro team last season despite getting just one interception because Oakland's opponents rarely even dared to throw to his side of the field.

Asomugha made critical statements about the Raiders' direction late in their sixth consecutive losing season, but acknowledged he probably would remain with the club because of the franchise tag. His new contract and the Raiders' new coaching staff likely made the decision much easier.

This was the second major re-signing by the Raiders in two days; on Wednesday, Shane Lechler agreed to a four-year, $16 million contract, the richest ever for a punter.

Both deals were negotiated by agent Tom Condon, with Raiders owner Al Davis having significant involvement in brokering the agreements.

Let's even leave out the dioxins. Burning plastics to recovver the copper release polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, particulates and other pollutants. Even if you don't get harmed by the dioxins, the PAHs will give you cancer in the long run, or the particulates will cause emphysema. What else do you need for something to be toxic?  Huh

There is no ambiguity in this - according to UK law this material is toxic. Besides that, it is ILLEGAL to export non-functional TVs. One those two counts alone, this is a criminal act by the recycling company. They have not disposed of the waste as they should have, and have engaged in trans-national shipping of hazardous waste - something prohibited under Environmental Permitting Regulations in the UK.

They have such laws on some auto parts here like the vehicle transmission but Nigerians pick them in pieces and export them home. My thing is this, instead of looking for the source, why not start from our ports to expunge these activities?.
