Politics › Re: Buhari: Why I Insist Nigeria Is Broke-the Sun by stinggy(m): 8:09am On Nov 04, 2015
omenka:
That is simply the truth. PDP lived and survived on lies especially under the immediate past admin and were hopeful Baba would sustain the culture of lying.

PDP imagines "lying to the outside world" about the health of our economy is the best way to woo foreign investors- had this being the case, the country would have been crawling with such investors this day. But the reverse is the case in fact. The more you try to manipulate your economic indices to promote a particular narrative of the state of your economy, the more you create disincentive for would-be investors.

An honest government is one that attract business men. It guarantees the safety of their assets and markets your country more than any amount of false propaganda can. Baba is doing the right thing and before long, I'm very hopeful we'll start seeing huge leaps in those positives that define the success of an admin.

#IBelieve.
As much as I like Buhari, I wish he could learn more on Diplomacy.

GEJ's administration did so much damage but what is done is done, he should move on and stop scaring away potential investors. The "Nigeria is broke" story shouldn't have been told for more than a month. The country needs more investors but who will invest where the President keeps saying things like this?

Investors need assurance on their investments not sad tales. Corruption is everywhere, he should get over it and do whatever it takes to assure those who want to help our economy.

My argument was never if Ilaje is Yoruba. Any blind man just by looking at Ilajes and their names, will know that they are just Yorubas with riverine culture.
From your first post I quoted, you claimed Ilajes are Igbos.

Thereafter you changed to an 'external force' being exerted on Ilajes and making them all and a even respected king like Olugbo falsely claim they are Yorubas.

IlekeGD gave you more links of Ilajes claiming Yoruba. Now, you say they are 'just Yorubas with riverine culture'.

Where do you stand on? Where should we start argument from?

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/11/omoigui-at-80-i-made-them-pay-for-claiming-i-removed-oil-wells-from-ondo-to-bendel/

No Yoruba man here has tackled this point.

So apparently, while oil producing lands though in the Yoruba speaking parts of the Delta parts of old Bendel state were carved out and joined to the greater Yoruba speaking area of SW, Ondo in particular.

Igbo speaking territories were joined to Ijaw territories in Rivers and made to take on distinct ethnic nationalities.

You would agree with me that if Ilaje were Igbo speaking and located at the boundary between Rivers and Imo, Ilaje will be made to take a distinct ethnicity from the rest of Ndiigbo in Imo state and then placed in Rivers state as a distinct Ilage ethnic nationality. It wouldn't be hard to find greedy elements amongst them to be empowered and then drown other dissenting voices, and as years go by, the natural rule of " if you can't beat them, join them" takes place, and the ranks of the denials keep swelling as the ranks of the dissenting ones keep diminishing.
Don't let Olugbo see this ooo

Igbos were even the first to drop bomb in Lagos - Yaba market and Casino.

Igbo started it, They started the atrocities b4 Nigeria Army.. it was after the capture of Mid-West by Nigeria army that wen The asaba mascare happened (I was against that) . So stop crying fowl.. We choose not to talk about the atrocities of Biafra Army, But If you want me to tell you, I will.

so you better call your Kalu of a guy and tell him to Remove Warri from his map.. na that 1 they vex me and my people
Just seeing this. Bro, so many lies have been told by these people to whip up sympathy and claim their favourite victim role.

Read what Godwin Alabi-Isala said in response to the calamity of a book written by Achebe 'there was a country'

Asaba Massacre
This was on the night of 8th August, 1967 at about 10pm. I was the commander of the Federal troops of 4th Area Command at Asaba. The Biafran troops broke the barricade on Niger River bridge and went straight to a place called “Ogbe Hausa” at the cable point; where the Hausa community lived. Biafran troops pounced on them and killed many of them. The few that escaped were moved down at Onitsha end, the people jubilated. Before my troops could reach me to report the situation, about 20 Biafran troops attacked me at the catering Rest House where I was living at the time. I fought my way through, and overpowered the 20 Biafran troops and reported the situation to my boss Major Henry Igboba at Agbor (the story of how I did that is contained in my book).

When the tide turned and the Federal Troops recaptured the Midwestern Region and Asaba, the Hausas among them retaliated by killing the people at Asaba. The Hausa who were there had never denied doing that.
