I don't believe it is a biological weapon.

First, the genome of the virus, after being sequenced by top scientists all over the world, it was agreed that this was not a manufactured entity. In fact, it bore striking resemblance to the same virus that had been earlier detected in bats in China.

Second, if it was indeed a biological weapon made to cut down China, then, it isn't doing a good job. I mean, there are more virulent and dangerous viruses that they could have used. Covid19 has nothing on Ebola and other very fatal diseases. The rate of fatality recorded by Covid19 with respect to affected people when compared to Ebola is child's play.

Third, the Chinese are known to eat anything that moves and breathes. So, it isn't unlikely that the virus made the leap from animal to human from this disgusting habit. That's why their live animal market was shut down in China.

Fourth, if it was a biological weapon, I'm sure whoever released it would have first make sure such virus won't make a comeback into their own country.

I'm not saying outright that it isn't a biological weapon and a purposeful infection of the human populace.

I'm saying the likelihood points more to the dirty Chinese habit of being able to eat any living thing.

There isn't any scientific proof yet that the tropical climate of most of Africa and South America has any effects on the virus or its spread.

We only hope that is the fact.

But I think that it either, people with the virus have been quarantined early before they had the chance to travel to Africa or there are actually people with the virus who are using antimalarial or other local herbs to treat what they think is mild fever or cold.

We can only hope for a quick cure to be found before the thing begins to spread in Africa.

As for the conspiracy theories, well, no one knows for sure. If the intent is to decimate populations of particular countries, then it isn't effective.

People are recovering and the ratio of death to the ratio of people infected is very low anyway.

If it is a biological warfare, then I'd imagine they'd use Ebola strain which will kill within days and is as infectious as Covid19.
