I don't know if mine is SULEV engine. So you mean that some engines come with only one sensor?

@luvinhubby, My rewire says my car doesn't use upstream O2 sensor. It only has one as fitted from the factory. He is the second rewire to say this. Could this be true?

Combined driving should be 21mpg.

I advise you scan your car and post the error codes here. A number of factors could cause high mileage but let's not do guesswork.

No need to come to Lagos. Buy the device on Jumia. It should be able to pull out basic error codes. And it's also easy to use. Costs starts from 4k. It's called OBD 2 Bluetooth car scanner.

Don't do any yet. Hope it's coolant in your radiator and not water. Keep driving it but always monitor the temperature gauge well for any unusual changes.

yes when I scanned it there were code P0131 and p0141

Then rescan the car to confirm those 2 codes have disappeared.

If your vehicle has a P1887 DTC, it means that the switch that lets the ECU know the TCC clutch/torque converter clutch is no longer engaged, is not responding properly. If this happens, the engine and transmission will not function properly together. Which means performance could suffer and safety could be affected.
I suggest you Change your speed sensor.

If is not a damaged fuse or open circuit then the best solution is to replace both sensors.

The car consumes so much fuel lately

Both your upstream and downstream oxygen sensors are malfunctioning. Hence the reason for your cars high fuel consumption. O2 sensors are responsible for the air:fuel ratio of your car to measure the mixture of fuel to air burned.

@slowice: Your car is a Honda. Your car manual specifies what I recommended. In the market you may get a gallon (about 5 litres) or small cans (ie 946ml). It's available at Oyinbo market, Lagos.

Good evening everyone, please am having issues with my Honda Civic 2007, anytime I engage the gear to reverse mostly it delays like 10 seconds to engage, and ones it engages it jerks, have gone to scan it and it's bring out just P0747 only and I have tried many solenoid and still the same thing, have even change the 2 solenoid and still the same issue and also the the drive light blinks sometimes. How much did you give him to buy gear oil? That will give you an idea of the oil he bought.
