TEYA: catalytic converter does not reduce fuel consumption sir.
OP The above is totally correct. So pls check other areas like restoring your cooling fan to factory settings. Also check that your MAF (air/fuel ratio) sensor is working.
officialwdhtv: My twin brother is missing after arriving Lagos Intl. Airport from UK - Man says
He hasn’t reached out to us. His phone number is inactive, and his bank accounts are not active.
Daniel Ogoh, a 27-year-old postgraduate student in the UK, disappeared without a trace after arriving in Lagos on May 5th. His twin brother, David, tells us that Daniel has been unreachable since.
If you are 100% sure he boarded the aircraft, simply check the manifest. Then inform the airport security and monitor all the CCTV cameras on the date of arrival. He'll definitely show up in one of the CCTV cameras.
colored: I'm only trying to make more money while giving out a mouth watering opportunity. I intend to be as transparent as possible with whomever is interested in the job. By transparency I mean sharing personal information like ID and stuff like that, that would implicate me if I were to scam anyone. I would even like for a third party like a nairaland mod to be involved to prove legitimacy.
I already have a full time job. Is this a job I can combine with my full time job
Fizman1: You sure say your connect never put you for one chance? There shared lots of APL about 2 weeks ago. Better go meet your connect one on one. God speed
Were the letters for Fed Ministry of Works or State Ministry of Works?

Stoiclala: Hello bosses my Camry 2007 works fine but I noticed that when I ln motion and I slow down, if I want to accelerate back, it doesn't pick at once. I have to press like twice or thrice before it picks up. I guessed it was d trans(just a guess) nd I checked the trans oil. It was brown(not black) but at the normal mark. Now, I've decided to change it. So, 1. pls can it truly be the transmission oil. 2. How do I recognise fake and original Toyota WS fluid?
I'd really appreciate your kind and genuine response
Buy the oil from trusted dealers. You can't go wrong.
I was working in Lagos as expatriate. I am married and she was fully aware at the beginning of the relationship.
I had sex with my gf on the 6th day and I pulled out.
I told her that month that my contract has been terminated by my company and I have to go back to my country.
On 27th day I met her (5 days before leaving the country) and she asked me if I am sure that I pulled out on time when we had sex last time and I told her yes and she told me that she is asking the question because she has not seen her period.
When I left the country 2 weeks later I chatted her and I asked if she is doing well. She told me that she is not fine. I asked "why ?" And she told me that she is pregnant. I was very surprised and I called her. That day she told me that she was just joking with me she is not pregrant and we talked about everything.
Last week she told me that she is pregnant. She shared with me a test results on a paper where the date of the pregnancy perfectly matches with the date we had sex.
She told me that if her family is aware of the situation they will disowned her and she immediately shared with me some requirements to apply for a job in UK where 2 million NGN are required and she asked me for support. She also deleted the image of the tests results.
When I asked her to share with me she told me that she does not want me to be in trouble if my wife see that document in my phone. I insisted to get a copy and I told her that she can be assured I will not keep it in my phone. She shared back the document after cropped the letterhead. I insisted to get the full copy and she sent another one after striketrhoughed on her name.
I told her that I don't think in Nigeria the only option available for a woman who gets pregnant is to travel to UK even if her family will disown her. I understand that the situation is not comfortable but there could be other options. Even this process to go to UK can be unsuccessful, and if it is the case, this amount of money would have been lost.
I am not from Nigeria and this story seems suspicious to me. I am currently abroad, there is no way I can verify what she is telling me. I don't also want to open it some of my friends there.
To be honest, I never planned after I left the country to cut communication with her or to support her. But I prefer to support her whenever I have the opportunity to do. I don't know now if this story about the pregnancy is true or not.
If you have any experience in this kind of situation please share with me. Any advice is also welcome. Please don't judge me.
Fly down to Nigeria without informing her. Meet her again and immediately go to a hospital for a blood test to check pregnancy. That test is more accurate and you will get the results ASAP.
MrIZIcabs: Engine is smooth, No misfires or rough idle.
Transmission is smooth too.
One auto electrician asked me to change my ECU aka brain box, saying it's the problem
Everything is just tiring.
Final bit from my end is that your car should be running on closed loop and not open loop. You will know this with your scan tool after driving the car around for a while to let all the sensors kick in.
So after driving around for a while, check the fuel status with the tool. Don't switch off the car.
MrIZIcabs: My friend owns a scanner, I made sure I fixed the trouble codes, I bought and changed MAF sensor Air filter o2 sensors Engine coolant sensor And there's no check light anymore.
But the car still guzzles fuel, unlike the reviews and ratings from Honda users.
You should be doing roughly 26mpg or 11km per litre. That's the factory specs. Given the age of the vehicle and wear and tear, there will be some losses but not to 7km per litre. Use a superior scanner which can also scan the transmission. By the way does the transmission change easily?
Please, is my Honda Civic 2006(4 plugs engine) doing well by consuming 7km per liter for city driving, with AC on all through. In other words, it does approximately 350km on full tank of 50 liters in city driving.
I will appreciate your contributions. Thank you
It's not normal. A number of things could cause the increase fuel consumption. Guess work will only cost you more money so please do a scan. Post the results here. Or buy a scanner from Jumia and scan the car yourself. It's DIY
bosco9: I have been trying to fix for my Honda Accord 2006 model for sometime now
When I start the car and accelerate, i can feel the car is shaking or wobbling from the accelerator (like the car is dancing left and right, I can actually feel it on the accelerator) but after I gain some speed, it stops and drives smoothly, when i slow down and try to accelerate samething happens again
I took it to a mechanic, the mechanic said it was the bushing, he changed some bushings, changed downleak, changed breakpad and also changed the hub bearing for both sides
But the problem is still there, he later said it was the tire, that I should take it to a vulcanizer, the vulcanizer checked the four tires and said the tires where okay (two different vulcanizers)
I don't know if I should buy a car scanner, if the car scanner can be able to detect the fault
I don't know what to do, all these mechanic for Benin matter don tire me, them too like trial by error, na so Dem scatter my Benz, sold a whole Benz for scrap for 300k
Please what is the issue with the car and can anyone recommend a good Honda mechanic in Benin city
One or more of your tyres could be bad. Have a vulcanizer check it. Finally do alignment on the front wheels.
I have never seen him face to face before. We only talk on phone and chat. Till now he has never disappointed me on terms of quality and timeliness of delivery. Give it a shot bro
The Toyota corolla 2010 was bashed into a wall while trying to reverse the car and I need to have it fixed. I am presently in Kaduna. My issues are as follows:
1) Can anyone help me with the contact of a good panel beater and painter in Kaduna to do a perfect job 2) The car catalytic converter (indomie) is intact and I am worried that it may be stolen while the vehicle is being repaired. As a precaution, I am considering having the entire silencer removed and brought home while the car is undergoing repair. 3) What are the precautions and steps I need to take to get a good job done Thanks so much.
1. I am not on Kaduna so I can't give any recommendations. 2. Ok good idea but you need to factor in the cost of removing and fixing the silencer. You can also show the mechanic the indomie and warn him that you will take police action if it goes missing. 3. Just get a competent painter/panel beater and mechanic. Also show up at the workshop unannounced and spend time there.
AmericanDad: Iv finally got a second benz..a C350 2013 sport. She is so fast. Faster than my ML350 2013...She really turns heads. Pls how best can I pamper this baby...advise pls
biomedixexcel: Thank you, and this guy has the biggest rewire workshop in Ekiti State, he has big cars patronising everyday and this made me believe him. I Google and discovered that cat and oxygen sensor work differently.
I even changed the newly purchased engine to another one and still black smoke.
Pls how much is oxygen sensor and how can I get it waybilled
I got mine from Luvinhubby here on Nairaland. Simply reach out to him and he will waybill to you.
Millyyyyy: Will do. Also forgot to mention, don’t know if it’s normal, although I haven’t seen this happen to other cars parked by my neighbors, when I put off the car, usually my AC runs while I drive, I sit in the car for a few minutes before going in. I’ll notice a puddle of water has leaked from under the car. Usually it was clear water, now the water has a sort of tint and it’s usually a lot.
It's normal, same with the AC in your office or home that leaks water to the ground.
My Honda Accord 2009 consumes a lot of fuel 5k fuel doest last me one week regardless of putting on the AC highest 3days. I have catalyst or could it be the 02 sensor in the exhaust.
biomedixexcel: I took the car to him again and he scan, the only code seeing is the Oxygen sensor and he said Oxygen sensor is useless when the car does not have catalyst in it
Not true, without oxygen sensor, your car will also consume more fuel than required
