Good day great engineers
My camry 2004 won't start. I parked the car and d next morning I try to start it but the car won't start or cranck. The security light keep flashing even when the key is in ignition. We've checked with system by 2 different rewire guys but seems they are not getting it since last week thursday. I've asked someone to read d key for possible signal error but I was told the key is perfectly okay. Another person checked it today with system after lot of trial and told me is the immobilizer that may be faulty. Pls what could be the issue with the car

If you have a duplicate car key, please try it.

Physically inspect the key for any sign of being loose/shaking/having small crack.
Some keys come with sensors inside.

It’s better to go to Ogun state and renew your vehicle particulars now angry

Seems it's part of their rule that if your vehicle is registered in Lagos then the certificate of road worthiness must also come from Lagos.

Good morning and thank you so much! I’m just really worried about that rpm thing

Welcome to the Honda club. First of all try and get a car OBD2 scanner from Jumia.
It's very cheap and can detect all the problems of your car that is causing the high fuel consumption. You will simply plug it to somewhere under the steering and it will bring out the error codes.

Good afternoon. I just bought my first car and I’m in utter regret. It’s Honda CRV 2008 Nigerian used. The middle man was recommended by a trusted person and he didn’t do his due diligence. The car had body works and to me it was working well. I got home and discovered later that the central lock didn’t work for one door, the boot that was opening didn’t open again, sometimes the car won’t start (maybe battery and kickstart) problem. The remote will work today and not work tomorrow.

Also they did a scan and it brought this: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Malfunction.

P0172
P145C Code - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Range/Performance Problem

Currently, I’ve been able to resolve the problem with one of the doors not central locking and I know the kickstart and battery problem is just to fix it. But the boot not opening is giving me lots of concerns. Panel beater has checked it out, Rewire is saying it might be a connection problem. Every Rewire is complaining that the car has been worked on a lot, join-join. I’m tired. I’m thinking of going back to the dealership to swap or upgrade to another car. I no fit for wahala. But they keep reassuring me that once I fix this issues everything will be well. Just today today o they discovered that the exhaust is not even the right exhaust for it.

What should I do pls?

If the car is driving well and all gears are working properly including the AC and fuel consumption is economical, just fix the other things you have mentioned and enjoy your ride.

I am in Ado-Ekiti

First of start by ordering the recommended transmission oil from Lagos and change the present oil.

The D light blinking is a red flag. Please stop driving it around till the transmission Oil is changed otherwise you need to save for a new gear box.

I need help

I just changed the engine of my Honda Civic 2002 EX. After putting the new engine, the RPM, Temperature and D, D3, D2 lights refused to work and on. If I put in D, no light, it will drive but like using gear 4 of manual gear to move, sharp movement is impaired. Everything was working perfectly before the engine replacement.

Took it to rewire, they scan and scanner was unable to connect with the car. The person now said the Brain box might have been affected and said he will repair it for 30k and if he couldn't repair and get the car back to normal working condition, I will buy another brainbox.

Pls who can give some insights and how much is the brainbox for honda civic 2002 ex

Thanks

Nooo bro

Those codes were there before, I didn't just felt the need to fix it, but I recently read the fuel tank pressure sensor too could affect the fuel efficiency.

Don't know how true thou.

Seems the O2 sensors come in 4 pins and 6 pins. Be sure to get the correct one from Luvinhubby

Lol

Let me shock u, 2 of them argued seriously with me that it doesn't really need to sensor to control the fuel..

They said it's plug ooo..

I just walk away..

Something I scanned that shows open loop.

Those guys need some retouching

If you were here in Lagos, you would have gotten competent rewires who have dealt with this issue.

Purchased from luvinghubby..

Great man I must say.

The items came in same day of purchase, only thst the driver landed in Akure from Lagos very late at night.

Will install afterwards today...

I recommend luvinghubby for your Honda parts need.

Thanks.

After installing, codes 135 and 141 must disappear. You will also notice a considerable improvement in fuel economy. Don't forget to come back here and share the outcome.

I don't seems to grab anything from close loop to open loop u are talking about. Do I have a scanner

Pls explain with english

Whenever you start your car, it will be in open loop for some minutes until the O2 sensors kicks in. Open loop means the car is not following any instructions regarding fuel use. More fuel will therefore be consumed. Once the O2 sensors begin to work the car ECU will control the amount of fuel being used by the car using the sensors. This is closed loop and less fuel will be consumed by the car.
But please start by buying an OBD 2 Bluetooth scanner from Jumia. It's very cheap and can detect basic car faults. Simply install torque app on your Android and use the scanner to scan the car. The error codes that will be shown will give you the exact root case of your car consuming too much fuel.

Good afternoon Sirs.
I scanned my car, a Honda CRV 2008 with today and got the following codes:
P2184
P0135
P0141
P0533
P0113
P0010
I want to know in what order of severity and expenses should i start to fix them.

Thanks!

135 and 141 are upstream and downstream O2 sensors. Your car will be drinking fuel if both are faulty. How is your fuel consumption?

When I scan my check engine light which always comes up in a matter of days after clearing the previous, I am always told that it is a clucked catalystic converter.
Pls if this is the culprit, how can I deal with this and what is the cost of fixing this cuz I was told by my electrician that is very expensive to fix

Check your fuel status with your scanner. Check whether the car is running in closed loop or open loop. Scan it after driving for a while.

I've not scan it.

Try and buy a scanner on Jumia. With less than 10k you should be able to get one that can scan basic car codes. Secondly it will help you have an idea of the problem before you take it to kazeem.

Hello friends, I noticed a red light blinking on my Honda accord 07 dashboard, this is entirely different from the anti theft light.
This is the first time I'm seeing such, and if I could recall it happend after my key remote system stopped working for like 2 weeks I had to resort to manually open and lock the car, but I recently changed the batteries on the key and it's working again, but the red light still blinks anytime I lock the car.
Not sure of what this is

Please post the picture of the red light that is blinking because to the best of my knowledge, when the doors are locked the red blinking light in my car is the antitheft light

Please I need help.
I was driving home yesterday and stopped to buy something. As I was about to leave, my car refused to start, I noticed the coolant reservoir became overfilled but the temperature gauge was at the middle. I had to wait a while and the car started once. I have a pending P0141 code. What should I be looking to fix? Car is Honda Civic 2007

P0141 means your downstream O2 sensor is bad/faulty. Let your rewire rectify it.

Like slowly rolling. But not kicking/starting. Was starting prior but not since yesterday.

Infact, it just rolls like once/twice now and just stops.

Check if your horn still sounds the normal way. If not your battery has either run down or is weak.

Thank you for the follow up.I took the car back to the workshop. He changed the relay and the problem persisted. He the rescanned and this time it gave a P1658 error. He spent time working on the fuse box and the wiring around the fuse box and under the dash board by the driver's side. The problem stops when he starts the car. When it's put off and allowed to rest, when started again the problem comes up again. It happened over and over again. He then concluded that the fault is from the brain box.According to him the brain box is not sending current to the relay hence the noise when the gear is engaged and lack of throttle power. What do you think?
