Hello co-bloggers,
I will need your sincere opinion on this. It's on plagiarism.
I found one of my articles on two different blogs. The first one copied the whole article, including the inbound links I placed inside the post (quite hilarious tho because so many text links still points to my blog). This doesn't bother me much as I have made my research on google and I know what to do.

However, what bothers me more is the second person who seems more clever. He also copied all the post (carefully unlinked all my internal links) and added it to his own post. Let me make it clearer, he took my "15 ways to ..........", added more points to it and published "25 ways to......." (This is just for illustration).
-
-Can it still be said that he stole my content since he already added to it?
-What can I do or what action can I take that won't make me shoot myself on the leg later?
I need you to throw more light to this.

Are you an academic researcher or an Undergraduate working on your final year project?

Do you need research papers but can't afford buying on scienceDirect?

Well, you can now download them for free.

Follow these steps:
1. Go to Sciencedirect.
2. Search for the papers you need.
3. Click on the journal or research paper you wish to get.
4. You will be told to purchase the pdf file for blah blah blah dollars. Don't worry, just copy the url link.
5. Open another tab and type sci-hub.cc.
6. You would see a space under a bird, just paste the link in there and click the button next to it.
7. Congrats, you have just downloaded the papers you were supposed to pay for.

For purely academic purposes. If the domains are down, use the IP address
80.82.78.170 to access sci-hub.

There is this argument between I and a friend. He said Corn is different from Maize which I totally disagreed. We went online and a website actually said it is different. But I strongly disagree because both have the botanical name Zea mays. So NLdrs, is corn different from maize?

Sports / What Happens To Top 4 If Leicester Wins The UCL And United Wins Europa? by Studentcosmos(m): 10:45pm On Apr 11, 2017
Just thinking. Leicester will surely end the season outside top 4 while manchester united's chances of making top 4 is slim (though not impossible). Assuming united and leicester both finished outside top 4 and they go on to win both the europa and UCL respectively. What happens to EPL top 4 teams and their chances of UCL qualification. I know a nation is not allowed more than 5 representatives in the UCL.

Webmasters / How To Find Out If Someone's Been 'stalking' You On Facebook by Studentcosmos(m): 4:48pm On Apr 04, 2017
Facebook is a nifty platform for many functions, but two of its most popular remain making everyone jealous and creeping other people's profiles.

Come on and admit it - you're almost certainly guilty of doing the latter.

After all, looking at someone else's profile is now so easy to do, the act of grubbing through photos of their 2006 holiday may not even seem that big a deal.

Best of all, you can do it safe in the knowledge that unless you accidentally - shudder - 'like something', they'll never be any the wiser.

Or at least, that used to be the case.

Facebook have always said they have no plans to reveal this data and, by and large, this remains the case.

It would dissuade many of its 1.86 billion users from utilising the site as fully as Facebook would like.

However, the site has introduced a new feature which means you may need to exercise a little more caution.

Facebook recently rolled out its 'Stories' feature to all of its mobile users.

Similar to the same feature on Instagram, Facebook Stories are short user-generated photo and video collections which can be viewed twice and then disappear after 24 hours

As with Instagram stories though, you can see how many people viewed your story AND who has specifically looked at each piece of content within your story.

So while you can resume your creeping of profiles in sweet anonymity, it's no longer 100 per cent across all of the site's features.

Politics / Why Security Council Adopted Un’s Resolution On Boko Haram Crisis – Britain by Studentcosmos(m): 4:41pm On Apr 04, 2017
The UK Permanent Representative to the UN, Matthew Rycroft, on Monday explained why the Security Council adopted a resolution on the Boko Haram crisis in the Lake Chad Basin, saying it was a landmark development.

Security Council had on Friday adopted Resolution 2349 (2017) to bring attention to the Boko Haram crisis.

Rycroft said: “This adoption marks the start of the next chapter of our work on the Lake Chad Basin. Seeing a crisis first hand is a good start but it isn’t enough on its own.

“It isn’t enough just to bring attention to its situation. We will fail the people of the region if we do not respond to what we saw; if we don’t take tangible action to bring real relief, real respite to the suffering, the hunger, the instability.

“Through this resolution, we have made clear what action needs to be taken.

“ First and foremost, we need the countries in the region, the international community and the UN urgently to scale up their response to the humanitarian crisis.

“If we act now famine can be avoided. But that means quickly dispersing money pledged at Oslo – every single dollar of the 458 million dollars pledged by donors, every single dollar of the one billion dollars pledged from the Government of Nigeria.

“It means supporting the regional governments to lead a comprehensive and effective response to the crisis, building on the leadership they have already shown.

“It means all in the region, including ECOWAS and ECCAS, addressing the root causes of the crisis – addressing economic inequalities, countering violent extremism, empowering women.”

“ Boko Haram exploits the poverty in the northeast, it exploits the men who view women as no more than objects, wives and cooks without the prospect of a future,’’ he added.

The UK envoy emphasised that the ideology of Boko Haram was unacceptable.

“ We also must avoid a protracted crisis by better bridging the divide between humanitarian and development programming,

“If we are to bring a conclusion to this crisis, we must also commend and support the countries in the region on their efforts to combat Boko Haram, including through the Multi National Joint Task Force.

“They must sustain their momentum to defeat Boko Haram and Daesh.

“You can’t defeat terror or build peace if you are committing or condoning the abuse of civilians. We all must hold ourselves to a higher standard than that,” Rycroft said.
