The Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for electrification of eight Federal Universities, one Teaching Hospital and the host communities. The project, which targets over 300,000 students and others within their immediate environment, is the first phase of government’s plans to power 37 federal universities and seven teaching hospitals in the country. The Rural Electrification Agency (REA), which signed the MoU on behalf of the Federal Government with the universities, said the project aims to provide uninterrupted power supply through off-grid captive power plants in a bid to resolve power to the tertiary institutions. Its Head of Special Projects, Mrs. Anita Otubu, said the first phase, which would be carried out in nine institutions would be completed in 2018 and would benefit over 300,000 students and staff. The federal universities and teaching hospital that signed the MOU with the REA are the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; Bayero University, Kano; Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto; Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi; Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka; University of Lagos, Akoka; Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta; Obafemi Awolowo University and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Osun. Meanwhile, former Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Peter Okebukola yesterday tasked the Federal Government to increase funding for the nation’s universities. He noted that in an interconnected world, solving Africa’s climate change, food, national, health and security challenges would amount to failure if not addressed within a global framework. Okebukola spoke at Mountain Top University’s third lecture titled: “More Investment, More Harvest: Agenda for Enhancing Social Responsibility of Nigerian Universities,” held in Lagos. “Proprietors and managers of Nigerian universities will need to at least quadruple the financial investment in the institutions to give hope that there will be a doubling of the scores on social relevance,” he said. source: http://guardian.ng/news/fg-signs-mou-on-electrification-of-varsities-teaching-hospitals/ |

I thought I was the only one affected not until I met a friend who brought out like ten new pens from his bag. I was like "O boy, you dey sell am ni?" He replied "No o, na so so fake fake biro. Biro wey I dey buy now no dey last me for one day." The pen I buy these days always malfunctions hours after I bought them. I have tried buying from different places; tried different colours; tried different brands, but they are just the same - all FAKE. I missed the days of Eleganza and Bic. So many pen brands have flooded our market. Do you experience this too? What brand will you recommend for me to buy? Which pen brand is the worst? |

Great one OP, Here is another post on reasons why students fail you will find helpful. Top 15 reason why students fail. www.studentcosmos.com/reasons-why-students-fail-exam/ |
uzoclinton:Okay. So once I get a link back it won't affect my google ranking? |
eezeribe:point of correction, not all. Coz I don't. |
Hello co-bloggers, I will need your sincere opinion on this. It's on plagiarism. I found one of my articles on two different blogs. The first one copied the whole article, including the inbound links I placed inside the post (quite hilarious tho because so many text links still points to my blog). This doesn't bother me much as I have made my research on google and I know what to do. However, what bothers me more is the second person who seems more clever. He also copied all the post (carefully unlinked all my internal links) and added it to his own post. Let me make it clearer, he took my "15 ways to ..........", added more points to it and published "25 ways to......." (This is just for illustration). - -Can it still be said that he stole my content since he already added to it? -What can I do or what action can I take that won't make me shoot myself on the leg later? I need you to throw more light to this. |
