Great input here, all the points you have outlayed is correct. That number two is quite a concern to me, why is it that the oil and gas sector in Nigeria doesn't contribute so much to employment like other good-paying sectors e.g.banking industry despite all d money, all d activities, I do know they pay far better for entry-level anyways, but coming across a job advert for Oil companies graduate Trainee is so rare. Even the one that I saw and passed through, I wasn't selected at d final stage despite a great performance due to a number of factors which I believe to be not being from the host community, connection and no one to lobby for me (at least in my rejection mail, d Performance was strongly acknowledged and I was placed on 24 Months awaiting list during which I can be considered), was shocked some days ago when I read that Chevron hasn't converted 2013 employed casual workers engineers to full time and they had to go on protest.

As much as it is a lucrative sector, it seems it is far above the means of the ordinary man in d society and only for those who are connected.

Deep sigh.
Pardon me to say this: Don't compare banking with an oil company when it comes to sizing. These are two unparalleled pseudo companies that solemnly work based on risk management. Everyone bank and a bank has many locations across a state, not like the oil industry. Have you asked why the banking firm recruits more ND over BSc n co? This is one of the many reasons why most banks in Nigeria are under-level with oil coy. They pay one equivalent salary to three ND employees. In general, for both industries, employment is based on company needs, and policy, which oil firms have failed in their responsibilities. A large number of oil firms, (oil services) recruit on recommendations from parent(upstream) companies, in order to secure their contract going. This practice has made the industry porous and chained that for us, we have to know these men before one can fully be employed, though, not all that do this, but many of them.

In comparison with Jonathan, Buhari failed or refused to do the needful. It was never in doubt that Adeosun is guilty as charged which should have prompted the president who claims to be anti -corruption to relive her of her appointment.
I can understand your point now. But, it is wrong to sack someone without being proven guilty. Since, the case is already in court, Buhari can't just sack like that. She has done what a normal human should do to clear her name, though if guilty.

Makes no sense.
Did she break a law? Yes
Is she supposed to pay for it? Yes

Forget about your 'usual hateful suspects'. They didn't ask and force her to forge the NYSC certificate, she did out of her own volition.
A law is a law and must be respected irrespective of how highly placed a person is.

Jonathan sacked Prof Barth Nnaji who was doing very well then as Minister of Power for conflict of interest (which even you would agree is not an offence per second?), he also sacked Festus Odimegwu for a careless and tactless comment he made as NPC boss. Nobody accused the usual hateful suspects'.
How do you relate these two senarios with resignation saga or NYSC saga?

Instead the Bible says that we should rejoice and be exceeding glad for great Is our reward in heaven.
And you are rejoicing for Buhari's persecution?

1. Arrest and prosecute her immediately
2. Buhari the tyrannical dictator should follow suit immediately

Stop taking bitter kola for Buhari. He has primary cert and equally served Nigeria Army, but if you doubt this, go to court from here.

Hehehehehehe, that's serious. No sort of reply, for a multinational firm, that's unusual, at least if you were not selected, a rejection mail should be sent. That's the best practice, but then, this is Nigeria.
I was surprised, too. At least, they should have sent rejection mail to the application. The funniest part is that my application is still showing under review.

Agreed.
In my University, publishing 6 papers before graduation is part of your higher degree. 3 conference and 3 journal papers. Nigerian Universities need to implement that at MSc and PhD level as a prerequisite for passing. Even if it’s just one. Who is the Minister for Education sef?
Though, it is expensive, but, worth it. By this, ranking of our universities can now match relatively.

Abel593:
please I need ur help will be going for an interview for the role of an inventory officer this week I need possible interview questions for the role would be glad if u reply me before Tuesday, thanks
There is no specific questions for inventory since you have them on your CV. If you can relate behaviour questions to the role, good for you. But, you must have understanding of your role as Inventory officer from recieving goods, issuing goods, store cycle count, First in;first out rule, lead time (time between request for goods and when the goods was delivered) stock level, requisition for goods.
More so, problem faced as inventory officer are mostly shortage of stock, placing stock on wrong location and lead time.
The bottom line is, understand your CV.

Hmm,I wish the OP best of luck in his educational endeavours.I will like to add that there are good universities in Nigeria too that is atleast close to international standards but they are mostly private universities, let's be honest good education is expensive, that's when the government comes in with funds to improve the infrastructure and the sector as all in a way we can refer to as subsidising but it's not their concern, all they care about is their pocket greediness for power, the educational sector in Nigeria, the public ones to be precise will not improve and will be in a pool of stagnacy as long as the old and corrupted leaders are being recycled.
The problem with most Nigerians is, university should be free. Most Nigerian universities are too lazy to source for funds outside the shore. When government is not supplying funds, schools should help themselves. Good quality in teaching style and research advancement are two pseudo syndromes facing our schools, apart government failure to funding these institutions, because without these two, funds may become difficult in getting from foreign bodies. Good point from you.

I keep telling my people...if u want an independent nation, stop chasing all south south and only chase the igbo speaking parts of south south. With igboland intact and secured, the igbos can seek self rule from nigeria and achieve it faster than attaching all south south.

Cities in Igboland are

Port harcourt (ikwerre-Igbo) - largest Igbo city
Onitsha (onicha ado)
Aba (Ngwa Igbo)
Enugu (waawa igbo) - capital of Igboland
Owerri
Asaba (Anioma igbo)
Abakaliki
Umuahia
Nsukka
Remove Ikwerre n Anioma from your list. These two can't be minority in this category. Abeg you.
