I think dis goes beyond infrastructure and facilities to lure dem cos what Dey c in foreign countries where Dey can represent is better or almost d same facilities in Morocco 🇲🇦 or Senegal 🇸🇳 I want to believe deir major success of convincing foreign born players is more of patriotism Dan infrastructure as u suggested cos an average Nigerian 🇳🇬 is not even willing to associate themselves with Nigeria 🇳🇬 let alone of commiting demselves into anything.in everything we do we try to associate ourselves with anything foreign dishing our own values . But take a look at Morocco 🇲🇦 or Senegal 🇸🇳 foreign born players ..I believe they cherish deir values and culture hence finding it easy in convincing them to switch their allegiance.
There is nothing to suggest that a Senegalese or a Moroccan is more patriotic than a Nigerian infact I would even argue the opposite, but there is a stage patriotism ends and commonsense takes over, who wants to be owed wages and match bonuses in the name of patriotism, risk injuries on bumpy surfaces, risk their lives in inadequate transportation and so many other hazards our professionals face here, I'll tell you if we get our administration close to these guys a lot more of foreign borns will declare without haste

SA didn't not just humble your apex club 5-1 in their background for you to say this

Morocco's only plan is to reap where they did not sow. Convince Foreign Born players to play for them from age grade to National team level.
There is a reason they are able to convince fb players to leave European nations to play for them and that's because they have built a structure and an enabling environment, if e sure for you go and convince common Adarabioyo grin

Awoniyi wey people dey bash here some days ago...he starts today. Hope he comes good.
No he won't, not now or ever Awoniyi is basically a case of a player being told to play as a striker because he has impressive upper body strength and decent speed, he does not possess the littlest hunter's instinct or movement that would give him an edge over any average defender, his career would have panned out better if he had turned to a center back

There's truth in his statement oo. SA were not our mates a few years ago. We'd be pitted against them and nobody loses sleep. Today, they have become a thorn in our flesh even more than our traditional rivals. We found ourselves in the same group with them and they nicked the ticket even after 3 points were deducted. This is because they kept on improving their league and it has upped the quality of their national team.

Morocco is another team that has invested heavily in soccer and the results are tumbling in across all strata of footballing competitions.

We are still relying on talent. No structure, no system. The fact is that AS A PEOPLE we lack the mental fortitude to be systematic. Not just that we lack the fortitude, we hate anything systematic, we hate law and order. We like chaos, we even thrive in it because we are a childish and irresponsible people.
Leave am na he is talking about PAST finals when the future is currently in discussion, Look at stadiums, youth football, local leagues and administration and you will see which team is on the rise and which team is dwindling, the funny thing being that Nigeria defeating South Africa in future will be seen as an upset rather than the norm

How we still have Moses Simon and Chukwueze(with respect to him) as starters in 2025 is baffling to me, this is what qualifying for youth tournaments would have solved but we have an NFF that is more concerned with embezzlement than actual football administration, the sadder thing is that our main stars like Osimhen, Iwobi are approaching their later peak years yet there are no young bloods knocking on the door of the NT ready to take over from them in due time

Wilfred Ndidi still expected to leave Leicester City this summer. Leverkusen are the latest club to enquire.

Manchester United have held talks, and even discussed terms, on the player side, but finding a No.9 is the next priority. Adding another midfielder may require an outgoing first in that area.

Everton, and two other EPL sides have made approaches.

Real Betis, Juventus and Saudi clubs have also discussed Ndidi, who has a £9m relegation release clause.🇳🇬

@BenJacobs
Wait do these clubs have scouts who actively watch the player or do they just throw money because he was once good
