TheSuperNerd: Opta Analyst just recently released the latest updated World Power Leagues rankings ahead of the Fifa club world cup kicking off soon...
English Championship is rated higher than every other league outside the Top 5 leagues.
Saudi Pro League is now up to 29th (now in Top 30).
MLS still slightly ranked above or at par with Liga MX but both ranked slightly below Argentine Liga.
Link: https://theanalyst.com/articles/strongest-leagues-in-the-world-opta-power-rankings-june-2025 The drop down from the premier league to the Italian league is bigger than the drop down from the top 5 leagues to the championship and somebody was asking me what is in the Epl lol |

Samueltemi337: Juve similar position with man u? You are joking right? BTW who made them second biggest club in the world? They have had 5 managerial changes in the last 5 years, they have been rotten in the transfer market, their squad is bad, they have not won the league since 19/20 the biggest stars like Cunha and Mbuemo can come to Man U because of the money and stature of the club but they can't go to Juve |

Napoleon55: I don't have power to engage on baseless arguments.
Real Madrid has more champions league trophy than your best 10 premier league clubs combined and u are here shouting "EPL is far and away the best league" If something is far and away better,it means it's better by considerable large margin, how is it so compared to La Liga and Serie a? If they are far better, they should be dominating every other clubs from other leagues whenever they meet.
EPL is considered best now does not mean it's going to remain so in few years to come,or that they were the best few years ago. Na you no know the difference between best team and best league and you are talking about baseless argument, go and check uefa league coefficients and revisit your post and see if you made any sense |

Napoleon55: I don't even know what to say to u for the bolded, where were u when the argument was heating up whether he is to go to Saudi Arabia or stay in Europe? Now u are advising him to go to Saudi he has rejected instead of playing for Juventus, because for u is going backwards.
And if premier is far better than other leagues, why is it that none of the premier league clubs played in the just concluded champions league finals?
EPL is by far the most annoyingly over rated league of all times. Epl is the best league in the world man, more exposure, stronger teams, 8 teams playing in Europe you won't get it anywhere else and your claim about no Epl team playing in the final is ignorant because Uefa coefficient is a better way of ranking leagues and Epl is far and away the best league, I want Osimhen to reject Saudi Arabia but that does not mean that I would be happy with a sideways or a backwards move. |

marvin906: This the issue I have with some of you the way you worship the epl like if a player doesn't play there they haven't achieved anything tell me a realistic club in the epl that will pay Osimhen wage Osimhen is not demanding much, I'm not sure Osimhen is demanding up to 200k that Man U wants to pay Mbuemo and for the fact that Osimhen rejected almost 800k in the Saudi league shows that he is not all about money so if Man U or Liverpool offers something similar he will go, and Epl is the league FAR better than other leagues at the moment, better exposure, better competition, better prestige, don't we want the best for Osimhen again? , if he settles at Gala or goes to Juve that is a backwards or sideways movement it's better that he gets the Saudi money instead |

Daninya33: Here are my recommendation after watching today's game.
Ekong,Ajayi,Bruno and Osayi should be dropped going forward. Both CBs were sluggish today.I am not convinced with our RB and LB today. Fredrick Benjamin,Igoh,AINA and Bassey should be our defenders going forward.
Our midfield trio should be Ndidi/Onyeka/Onyedika,Bashiru/ Iwobi, Uche.
Would love to see Ejuke invited to add width to our flank. Simon Moses can't even dribble his marker, low budget Doku. I can't even remember him beating his marker. Nathan Tella is no upgrade to the current wingers we have.
My top 3 strikers for the SE are VO9, Dessers and Tolu.
I will pick Okoye as my number 1. He deserves it. I agree with most of your writeup but why does Okoye deserve the no1 shirt ahead of Nwakali? |

Mujtahida: My brother, I wasn't comfortable seeing him. play Aina on the left even in the first match. Aina is the best RB in the EPL for God's sake. Why short change him just so you can play a mediocre Osayi on the right? Well as Aina gave an assist on the left, na so Osayi assisted Zimbabwe on the right. |

yinkeys: Can he distribute long balls like Ekong does Can he build from the back like Ekong does ? Can he pose serious threats to the opposition in setpieces? We need our best legs ready in September Time will tell I don’t know if this is sarcasm but Ekong being good on the ball is such a myth because if you watch him for a full match his long balls are horrendously inaccurate, There is nothing Ekong can give us that will not be replaced by any of our young defenders in addition to athleticism and speed |

joelsteron: Trust me, our boys will get the job done with better defenders. The team could shake things up by introducing Onyedika’s relentless energy, Nwakali’s flair and vision, and Iwobi’s adaptability into the starting lineup, while benching Ndidi to bring a new spark to the midfield and give him a breather after his recent intense performances. Chelle should try this combination during those friendly games.
Almost every team out there is hoping and praying for a chance to face the Super Eagles and beat us. If that’s not the case, then why are players openly calling for Leon Balogun’s return? It’s a clear sign that our current defenders—aside from Aina—are mediocre at best. Even then, I don’t rate Aina too highly because he can be unpredictable and sloppy whenever he feels like it, which leaves us vulnerable at the back. Nwakali in 2025, are we moving forwards or backwards |
