Lol South Africa started building what we are seeing before the last Afcon, even during the Afcon you could see their progress, forget SA has gone beyond beyond Nigeria and the full result of what they are building will come in the next world cup
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzerooo: 8:58pm On Mar 25, 2025
One change that would have helped Chelle a lot would have been one of the young defenders for Ekong because we had several opportunities to push up and trap our opponents over the two games but Ekong retreats afraid of the space behind him thereby giving our opponents breathing space, that also explains the space in midfield because Osimhen presses tight to the defenders, Ekong retreats behind the center line leaving a lot of space for Chukwueze, Iwobi and Ndidi to man, Chai I'm so down
Subzerooo:
Why are they not even pushing up?

The reason we couldn't push up a highline to suffocate the Zimbabweans after their equalizer was because Ekong was afraid of a run in behind him btw

I complained about this Chelle not good at managing the game.. it has come to hunt us.
There is nothing that Chelle did wrong in this match, you want him to be defending a 1 nil lead against Zimbabwe?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzerooo: 6:58pm On Mar 25, 2025
Ekong and Ndidi should not be playing for the SE in 2025, it's unfortunate that things had to play out this way

There's a reason why Osimhen has that level of balance.
Ekong seems to be the one with more balance, Osimhen seems languid

There are some assists that shouldn't be counted as one....he just nodded the ball into a free space

That goal was 99% Osimhen.

Pure desire and intensity
Lol he nodded the ball back to the defender and they are telling me assist
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzerooo: 7:12pm On Mar 21, 2025
I'm not giving Chelleckukwu any flowers today, apart from Osimhen's otherworldly goal instinct I didn't see any cohesion behind him, there was a huge hole in midfield and the players didn't understand what they were supposed to do, we stabilized the game in the second half with the substitutions though,C+

Moses Simon has gone to the right, Lookman to the left and Iwobi to attacking midfield, he should have started with this
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzerooo: 6:33pm On Mar 21, 2025
Bruno and Onyedika for Aina and Chukwueze to shore up the midfield and provide more impetus in attack, not bad

I'm curious to see Chelles first substitution
