Another Eguavoen sub scores, Chukwueze, Dele Bashiru, it's becoming a pattern

Eguavoen has gotten his substitutions right the past number of matches, at what point are these players going to take responsibility and give us a good match

After 43 mins against Rwanda 😒
He's coming off a bad display against Benin and he's composure is not shaken, I like him

Osho has been impressive atleast

Get Onyeka on for Dele Bashiru, atleast get control of the midfield then let's see if we can hustle one goal

TheSuperNerd:
No they don't. We currently boss the possession. Onyedika is doing his job brilliantly. Alhassan is all over marking and actually winning his duels and initiating possession.

Bashiru hasn't been in this game in his 10 role. Iheanacho also has been anonymous largely.
Onyedika has actually been doing well, Alhassan has been chasing his touch all over the midfield, Dele Bashiru has been non existent

Rwanda has more possession than us
Subzerooo:
This team is so makeshift, weak central defending partnership no ball retention in midfield, lazy attack. I'm not watching

WarHammer2000:
This might be our strongest midfield combo at the moment though I am yet to be 100% convinced on Bashiru's creativity. I hope he convinces me today.

Ndidi and Iwobi need to be slowly moved to bench roles. Age has caught up with them.
Alhassan in our best midfield combo una, I'll be there for his disasterclass and for Dele Bashiru, Iwobi trumps him in all aspects except goalscoring, so no Sir this is not our best midfield combo

Onyedika provides the ball retention in the middle. Onyeka isn't starting.
Slight improvement, but Onyedika needs a partner to retain the ball with

Starting XI according to owngoalnigeria

Maduka Okoye
Osayi-Samuel
Bruno Onyemaechi
William Troost-Ekong
Gabriel Osho
Frank Onyeka
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Alhassan Yusuf
Moses Simon
Kelechi Iheanacho
Victor Boniface

I like the midfield
And that Osho is starting again
But Chukwueze should have started instead of Iheanacho
And I have a feeling that Boniface will get his first goal for the Super Eagles today
This team is so makeshift, weak central defending partnership no ball retention in midfield, lazy attack. I'm not watching

My thought on this is that though the reporting on him here is over the top, the truth of the matter is that we still don't have his deep lying creative profile so unless we get one I'll be rooting for him to move up the ranks and take his place in the SE

My fantasy line-up against Rwanda.
From midfield to attack.

Ndidi, Onyedika, Boniface.

Lookman, Iwobi, Osimhen.

Lookman and Iwobi to occupy the left and right wing respectively.

Boniface to play behind Osimhen as an attacking midfielder and secondary striker.

infact those days minnows were really MINNOWS…like very very poor african teams…not now wey minnows don dey wake up
Madagascar
Comoros
kenya
Lesotho
CAR
Equitorial Guinea
Rwanda
these teams during yekini days were highly mumulized…dem no sabi play anything…even SA during our golden generation days were real amateurs
Lol Imagine Osimhen playing Madagascar or Comoros of the old days, he would score 5 every match

I just dey wonder if we no get Osimhen for this country.
Minus his goals I don't think we even qualify for the last Afcon or this one, that's why I'm baffled by members of this thread who bad mouth Osimhen, he's SE and SE is him?!

For SE to be effective, Iwobi must always be in a position to create, we have gone against this many times and it has burned us many times, I hope Eguavoen realises his mistake and fixes up
