Eko Ile: 1. Nothing about my response was uncivil. The quote below was my response and so kindly show me the insult. Insults means you are a juvenile and your only form of expression is insults.did you read d venezuela story @ all? since the language in the analogy seems too difficult for your comprehension...let me break it down. Venezuela made what you call 'illegal' settlers legal due to their prolonged living at the site. and whoever told you all of them live in shacks? and whoever also told you they are all 'illegal immigrants' as you call them. that is mischievous. you call them taht just to justify your position. and even if they come from other parts of the country....who the heck told you they dont have equal rights as you do? when did Nigerian laws start confering special priviledges according to state of origin. They are nigerian citizens! people like you started the Nigerian civil war..ethnic dogs!. i chose to be this way with you cos your views are anti common sense and anti human. you do not deserve any humane answer. |

Eko Ile: They don't pay taxes and the government can not tax illegal shanties and slums, doing so means enabling and condoning lawlessness and illegalities, they call them illegal settlements for a reason.Ur response to my "civil' post warranted d insults.I only gave u a taste of ur medicine albeit by taking it up a notch higher. See wat a responsible government does for its pple...President Hugo Chavez issued Presidential Decree 1666 in February 2002, providing a legal basis for Urban Land Committees (Comités de Tierras Urbanas, CTUs) to be formed.[46] These develop land titling in urban areas. Under the February 2002 decree, local committees (representing 100-200 families) may apply to a government office for the local "barrio" residents to be given property title for state-owned land they have informally occupied on a long-term basis. The committees operate on the principle of participatory democracy, and create maps of the local area, on the basis of which (after official verification) land titles are drawn up.[46] By mid 2005, there were around 5000 CTUs, representing around 5m Venezuelans, and the government had issued over 84,000 titles to 126,000 families, benefiting about 630,000 inhabitants (out of a total urban poor population of around 10m).[47] By October 2006 the government said that over 200,000 titles had been assigned, benefiting about 1m inhabitants.[48] During the past decade under Chavez, the income poverty rate in Venezuela dropped by more than half, from 54% of households below poverty level in the first half of 2003, down to 26% at the end of 2008. "Extreme poverty" fell even more - by 72%. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_policy_of_the_Hugo_Ch%C3%A1vez_government#section_2 |
Eko Ile: All that aside. And these 'illegal' settlers aint tax payin? Oga...dose brains re meant to be used na... |
Eko Ile: You can go with what ever you want which means nothing to anybody including the illegal settlers unless you agree that such filth and living conditions is good for any human being to call home including you and your family.Bros...u re mentally sick. Funny enuf, am one of d comfortable pple in d society. Buh I was once poor(maybe not as much as dwell in d slum) and I knw poor or rich deserves to live and be sheltered. By God...these pple shudnt even be in this condition if we had a sane govt who considered it worthwhile to have a social security system in place Yet B.astards like u want to paint d LASg in a gud light for dis crime againt humanity! May your children be rendered homeless! Wasted s.emen! |
Eko Ile: Instead of the insults and curses, why not move your family into one of these slums to show solidarity that it's a great place to live.sorry Eko Ile...am going with sweet gala on this one. i really do not know why you support the lagos government always but at times u should think of human beigns...they deserve to live...pause and think....what if u were born as a child there...do u deserve to be rendered homeless? think about people not your affiliations... |
Okada don't want to obey law and kill people and still want to be left alone and they still have people supporting and backing them. Market people too want special rights to disobey state laws, turn the market to another hazardous zone and filthy colony and they still have people supporting and backing them Illegal settlers creates slums, pollute our lagoons with raw human sewage aka shittt inside the same water they fish and eat from and dangerous materials, block canals and drainage systems, yet they want special rights to disobey laws and still want the government to give them free housing for disobeying the laws of lagos state and they to have people backing them. It's only in Lagos sate people pull silly stunts like this because the state is too lenient and conciliatory.. Change is not easy, but it's gonna come by any means necessary. We can not keep existing like jungle animals in a lawless society where everybody want special rights to do whatever they want and be left alone.
babapupa: Okada don't want to obey law and kill people and still want to be left alone and they still have people supporting and backing them. babapupa: Okada don't want to obey law and kill people and still want to be left alone and they still have people supporting and backing them.pls bro...help us beg thestate govt...so they dont go flogging us...help beg them to continue being 'lenient' to us... ![]() |
Simple question: Where those structures illegal?
Bros...i advise you to not even go there at all....you are talking to a lawyer. Lets even assume those houses were "illegal"...do u know how many "illegal" houses are in the high brow parts of lagos? (Ajah,Lekki) They wont go there to demolish...they wont even dare. But it is easy to clear the poor ones... I can lecture you on the ideal of Law bowing to "public policy" but that will be teaching you a legal principle you dont deserve. Go ask a lawyer friend of yours who is schooled in jurisprudence the implication of law going against public policy... Then re-assess your comment... |
Either you are being mischeivous or plain stewpid. You don't know Government is not run on sentiments? Everybody is claiming they are poor and yes they are poor but does being poor means you should build illegal structures?
Funny argument. We say Fashola shud not render people homeless and someone calls that sentiments. Now i know why Nigeria usually gets bad leaders. Cos people like you have a right to vote! |
I'm guessing you did not read the part where it was said that 1008 housing units are to be built in that place.
either you are being mischeivous or plain stewpid. you expect dem to sleep in the sun till the housing estate is completed? or which house built by the lagos state government is ever less than 10 million naira. how re they to afford that? |
FXKing2012: Perhaps you failed to realize that the developed world dont really want the developing world to develop; if every country is very well developed, who is gonna clean the shyt - where will all the goods being produced be dumped? Think of it this way: If every man in a community has equal wealth, who is gonna be the gardener, cleaner, gate man, etcGood God! I fear this kind of reasoning in this century. So in other words, displacing people is your idea of development? Making people sleep in the open is development? if thats development...may God never allow us development! |
"The Nigerian government’s untender approach to its poor..." Thats an American's view of the event... Means even an American (citizens of countries Fashola wants to emulate) feels the act was extremely unkind... Yet...some acclaimed 'lagosians'(who want us to believe only they own Lagos) cant feel for their fellow countrymen displaced... For all of you defending this dastardly act, may God look upon you with same indifference and displace you from your highhorse and may he look upon you with the unkind heart you have looked upon this people... On another note, i wonder how i would feel as a Nigerian...supporting Fashola and condemning my people to penury and homelessness whilst an American...working with Morka would leave her American base to defend these same displaced Nigerians... Only means someting, once Nigerians are 'comfortable'...Others can go to hell! if you belong to this group, please learn from that American lady. |
FXKing2012: Sacrifices must be made for development to take place, but Africans usually dont like making sacrifices (except sacrificing to deities) which is why Africa is so underdeveloped.Perhaps you failed to realise that the article was done by New York times. That the media of a developed country can empathise with the poor tells you developed countries who must have also sacrificed to get to where they are did not go about it this way. Some of us have always said this fashola guy is elitist, guess you dont have to look far to see evidence of it. |
wats d full package? Can't I pay 500? |
Is it tiled? Wats d total package? |
I agree Obj had his deficiencies buh he freaking has the right to make dt statement...of all Naija's presidents...he stands out most. Check d economy wen he left. Check how much foreign reserves we had...d telecoms revolution started under him. Our national ratings were increased. He commanded respect internationally. I criticised him wen he was president buh wen I see GeJ, I wish we cud have him back.. |
soochukwu: , Well i`m in the fence,if Barcelona had been winning as usual nobody will talk about Coach Roura not having coached or managed a team before while giving these examples of these other top coaches.thats the point bro. Barcelona cant win as 'usual' cos they were forced into a change of coach which distrupted their rhythym. |
she had better start adding some sexua.l appeal.....like cheating on her hubby to get pple to watch or else e go turn documentary... ![]() |
camelus: There can neva be α̲̅ beta way τ̅☺ start coaching,, some Pple started †̥̥Ђӛ way Roura did,†̥̥Ђis ȋ̝̊̅̄$ not coaching matter its diminishing return*Smsh*oga...Mourinho started his coaching as an interpreter...then assistant...them some small clubs in portugal..Guardiola started with the youth teams...Tito started by being an assistant for 5 years....that is the trend in al clubs world over...Roura has never managed a team before...tis is is first month of ever managing a team....its just like you not having mnaged any company beforeand you re told to manage the best company in the world....the company will suffer...its called lack of experience! And how can there not be diminishing returns for 5 and half years and it starts just a month afterthere's a change of coach? |
where and how much? |
I understand a lot of clubs are gloating at barca's defeat. well, i dont blame them since most have been beaten and look jealously at Barca's recent sucesses. The answer to this question is twofold- Yes and No. truth is the impact of a coach cant be over emphasized. it accounts for not less than 60-70 % of a team's success rate. that Roura who hasnever managed a team before and who until some months ago was just a scout is presiding over Barca's worst losses in about 5years is no coincidence. this same Barca team was on fire breaking records till Tito Vilanove had the cancer relapse. so yes...it is the end except tito recovers and takes over again or till anoda capable coach is hired. And no. if Barca secures a good coach, they ll reign again. funny enuf the same bad belle people who said guardiola is not a good coach because he has players are now the ones saying the team is finished just a year after he left. i pray tito comes back...then barca will reign again |
SimonAndal: I know I said in an earlier thread that I have no regrets in life, but that's not really true. My greatest regret is being born Nigerian.LMAO. choi! i luv this! |
