An important factor we should not neglect is the attitude of Nigerians towards the coins as people tends to reject it as s means of transaction as experience has shown us, besides what happened to The coins that were introduced some years back?

Mr Everest: Are you a kid? Even if you are, it does not give you the right to ignorance because we live in an information age. That sh!t you wrote was fabricated by mischeif makers!
who fabricated them? The fact is Ojukwu wanted to be head of state at all expense and he doesn't care who dies. TlAnd when he lost the war, you Igbos started shouting you were betrayed. Come to think of it do you really expect a yoruba man to sell his kinsmen out for your advantage?
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Killed Lt. Col. Banjo: Why? I Need to get to the root of this matter... by sucre2(m): 7:40am On Aug 19, 2012
Ojuwu was a greedy and a selfish man, He has no feelings for the Igbo people and it was his greed that led to the Civil war after all if Gowon had renounced his post as the Head of State the war would not have broke out.

bigboy3: Religion shouldn't have come up that's my point
He gave that as a reason why he won't attend the church service and his views should be respected for the fact that he sent someone to attend on his behalf. That to me is enough..
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Consular-General, New York, I Am Not A Religious Bigot by sucre2(m): 1:29am On Aug 17, 2012
bigboy3: You are still in the stone age....you better grow up. It isn't a must but thats the logical and rational thing to do at that time. He should have actually given a better reason and justify his absence but not on religious grounds....
What better reasons do you need again after he acknowledged to have sent someone to represent him.

When I got to her and flashed back I was like am I MAD.

where you at the event?
IslamRe: Nairalanders Iftaar - Season 7 by sucre2(m): 5:39pm On Aug 08, 2012
tunyus: Salam Alaykum
Pls more pictures will still be uploaded especially those ones we took during IFTAR(breaking of fast)I couldn't use my BB camera for it as dia is darkness during iftar so we use a brother with Nairaland name NICESOUL digital camera,I av call him to send dem to me to do some editiing then upload it.he has not send it.am still expecting it.

Some people might be wondering why do we have to cover our faces, experience shows that some of our brothers might not want dia face shown on a public forum, I think we ve discuse this in the 2nd edition 2yrs ago.
Am about uploading the few pictures i took with my digital camera but after reading your post i think i should pause and ask more about covering of faces as i do not want to offend anybody. Please let me know if i should go ahead and upload them or send them to your email address for editing.

babalolahr: I can vouch that Maclatunji is very fit to deliver the lecture. Only that he hides a lot from the public.
He is my neighbour, and I know him very well. He has infact being delivering lectures after Taraweeh for almost a decade now. He is also nicknamed 'Abu Hurayrah' because of his versatility in Hadeeth.
Well said..

Wizeboy: Walaykum Salam, i believe its WATBAS that first of all show his intention to host Mainland Edition since July 16 before you contact MAJOROLLER and inform this forum on July 21 (may be it skip Jarus mind before he made the pronouncement on Sunday).

To be on a neutral side on this issue, i will suggest that we either:

1. We have three session where watbas will hold Ikeja edition 5th August while Majoroller hold Surulere edition 11th August. OR

2. Both of them watbas and Majoroller should co-host the Mainland Edition (if we dont want to hold 3 editions)

With any of this suggested options, we will be on the fair side with both of them; as it will not be polite to say watbas should wait till next year.

#just advising.....

Maa Salam
Seconded.. Bro Jarus we are still waiting for your opinion.

Odunnu: Was it a privately or publicly owned primary school?
I also attended a predominantly Muslim primary school where we have lots of Christians attended also and none were compelled to participate in any Islamic activity. I can give you some of their names and contacts if you are in doubt. The name of the school is Crescent Nursery and Pry School 1004. V/I.
@Mac, sunday is better o! You dont want to run into crazy traffic on a saturday night. On sundays, the roads are generally ''freer'' grin

We thank Allah for the successful hosting of the Island edition, I'm sorry i couldnt make it, though I have to admit a bit ashamedly that i was doubtful I would attend from the beginning. Around 7pm yesterday, i was just getting back to Ikeja from Ojo.

however, inshaAllah, the mainland edition, I WOULD not miss.

Venue & time pls. Those who attended yesterday's, please endeavour to come again for the mainland edition. & though the bokoharam topic was obviously well trashed yesterdy by the Ustaz (accordin to reports here), i fear we may still have to revisit the issue, in addition to the other topic of course.

& lastly, please, brothers & sisters, we have been trying, but lets not relent. Let us continue to educate ourselves and other muslims & especially non muslims both off and on NL on the islam & terrorism issue. We should not keep silent (except when its most wise to do so) , especially in the office or our schools when the issue is being tabled for discussion. Thats a form of dawah also. & while doing this, let us refrain from insulting our educatees (yeah it could be hard sometimes, as some are very insultive & simply silly sometimes).

We are ambassadors of Islam everywhere & anywhere we are & let us be mindful of this in our speech and actions especially. Nobody us perfect though, but may Allah help us. Amin.
The Boko Haram issue was well treated but we had very little time for the tafseer, i did like the ustaz to attend the mainland edition. He's such a wonderful man.

LagosShia: thank God covenant university is not the only university in Nigeria.he should go somewhere else.

the woman however is being subjected to poverty because of her faith and is oppressed when other members of their family is enjoying because of the looting oyedepo does to blind christians who pay him tithe.

muslims are also in the millions in Lagos and Nigeria.we also offer zakat, sadaqa and khums.if we rally behind this woman,we will send a clear message to oeydepo that Nigeria also belongs to muslims and we too can afford to make his sister live a good life.
You are right..

LagosShia: Subhanallah!

may Allah (swt) keep her strong in iman and health.

i would suggest a bank account in her name is published.if anyone can get in touch with her,and she can provide her account details, then that would be a nice idea for those of us who would like to contribute for her well-being.

or may be someone trusted (may be Jarus) can take the lead to open an account with the intention to gain financial support to present to her.
Well said but we need to render some help to the guy who was denied admission into convenant University..
