Abdgafarplenty: it's Lagos. but how do you expect schools on holiday to pick call. The consulate of China need not deny people Cus they couldn't contact the school, after all you have the jw20 form which can't be forged with the admission letter
I sabi write Chinese?? We are still trying to gather the causes of denial That's why |
Education › Re: Nigerian Students In China by sudo1986: 10:39pm On Aug 15, 2018 |
Abdgafarplenty: I was denied yesterday also with the same reason, I think it's because the schools are on summer break, because when I tried to reach that number on the jw20 form the number was not going through and when i try reaching the school via their personal mobile number they told me they're on summer holiday maybe that's were the consulate couldn't contact them.
I'm waiting if I can delay my next interview to the resumption date and my excuse for lateness for resuming vane be acknowledged before trying again Please at which embassy? Abuja or Lagos? Funny thing is that those schools will never pick up their calls. That is very ridiculous |

Please I am urging you to give us the details of where you think the problem could emanated from. At least it is not that reasonable for them to just deny your visa application when you have complete documents.
Something must have happened.........endeavour to tell us so that we can do all out possible best to avoid such.
Or do you want others to fall into the same pit? |

RealTrump: Well, you know this thing is not mathematics. 1k should be enough if you cook a bit. If you don't buy any food outside at all, then maybe 800.
The expenses only goes up a bit when you want to buy n cook Nigerian foodstuffs in China. Your food from home will run out in 3 to 4 months. But definitely, 1k should be enough, I don't know much about your university but the city should be an affordable one. 1k is definitely enough. But buying nigerian foodstuffs in China, going for a few drinks, fast foods or girls would make you easily cross that mark. For me o, I want to be cooking My monthly stipend is 1,700¥ and I need to save a little beat Which food will you carry with bag that will not exceed 35kg that will last for 3 months? |

My school has posted my document since four days ago and the status is still saying Hangzhou. It means the documents have not left China at all, I wonder when it will reach Nigeria and our resumption date is fast approaching
It seems the school use the cheapest method of shipping where the tracking number start with CT and end with CN. I learnt it is the cheapest mode of shipping. I pray it wouldn't spend 1 month. |

I just called that foolish Lagos consulate now and this is what the girl just narrated
You will have to provide the statement of account of sponsor He said with the Chinese government scholarship, you still need to provide it in as much they are not paying for flight and visa
He said, what has the person in question been doing since he graduated. If he or she has been sitting at home, he or she must provide the evidence of sponsorship to show that you are capable of paying your flight. Or are you picking the money from the street?
He then said if the person in question is working and he is going to pay for his flight, he or she should provide his or her statement of account that will cover flight and visa fee......
This is the number I called

Chidon40: Hello everyone, I don't seen to understand what is happening here. Does it mean that there is no one that has obtained the student visa recently among us that will really list the requirements required both for bachelor and Masters.please let's help each other It is either they dont want to talk or they've not collected their visa It seems only ptdf candidates have successfully collected their certificate. Also, I think their processes is different from other scholarship bodies. The best thing is to see someone that have already done their own interview at LAGOS and / or ABUJA |

mkmyers45: Egypt Air Lagos - Guangzhou is #212,000 ($588.15 as of today from their website)
Now the big issue is that Egypt air get in around 3-4:30pm and the last train leaves 7:35pm. Is that enough time for a newbie to clear customs and get to the train station? I doubt it
They are directs flights from Guangzhou to Hangzhou with a China Southern flight leaving at 8:35pm being 700 yuan (Economy with conditions eg Baggage is only 20kg) Thanks for your response As I checked online, the distance from Hangzhou airport to zhegiang sci-tech university which is my school is just 30minutes by car. Do I need to take train? Or is it because train is cheaper? Please shed more light |

RoyalChannel: I'll answer the questions that are clear enough. 1. for Bachelors prospects, you only get to notarize and authenticate your police report. Notarization and legalization are one and same, that is done in a high court but authentication is done in the foreign affairs ministry and the chinese Embassy. The only previous certificate owned by the Bachelors prospects is the SSCE and authentication is not done at any ministry for that but you are required to provide a WAEC scratch card to the embassy for them to check the result themselves.
I think you are confusing yourself with notarization and legalizaation.
I hope i have answered your question. I am also thinking we should not disturb ourselves about those grammars...... Legalization and Notarization can be done by Ministry or notary club or High court. Authentication will finally be done by the consulate or embassy..... I am talking of MSC candidate' documents I stand to be corrected please |

mkmyers45: Where is your school? Lagos to Guangzhou on Egypt Air is around 216k so maybe look at that option. High speed train connects most major cities so you might be able to save money.
When does your school resume? My school is located at Hangzhou in Zhejiang........which of the flight is cheapest please.....and where can I book? |

I hope i have answered your question. We shall wait for a guy that is going to embassy tomorrow. Though the guy went there on Thursday last two weeks and everything was given to him to see He said for MSC, he didn't see any police clearance and authentication there. The only thing he doesn't have is the statement of sponsorship as he is going through partial scholarship.... That is the report for now |

I am thinking of going there to do the authentication and come back to Lagos for Chinese consulate authentication and payment of visa fee Hope I can do it that way........ |

RoyalChannel: your next step is your visa processing.
you take your docs plus police report to Abuja and continue from there But will it be convenient for someone staying at Ogun State to do his or her visa processing at Abuja? What of collection? Abuja to Ogun State is very far and costly |
Education › Re: Nigerian Students In China by sudo1986: 5:35pm On Jul 21, 2018 |
RoyalChannel: No, you only need to authenticate the police report. And that costs around 18k at the embassy
oh well!you're going for post grad, i don't know how much it cost to authenticate those other docs at the embassy, but the standard price for police report is 18k or thereabout. This is not funny anymore bro. With all these money someone have spent to get the police report, we will still need to authenticate it with 18k Anyway, I have authenticated all my documents at high court except that police report and that lawyer said I dont need to take those documents to ministry of foreign affairs again. I dont know how true is that bro |
Education › Re: Nigerian Students In China by sudo1986: 5:16pm On Jul 21, 2018 |
RoyalChannel: wrong info. you can't get the Chinese student visa in one week, whoever wrote that up there knows nothing about the visa process.
It takes at least one week to get the police report authenticated at the embassy, how then can you get the visa in one week?
the cost of the visa is not 15k, it's 32k excluding the authentication fee and other spending. If I can get you clearly, there are other fees to be paid apart from 32k for visa, which is authentication of document by Chinese embassy. That means we will have to pay Mooney for each other the following documents O level certificate Bsc certificate University transcript (2pages) Ssce testimonial Birth certificate Police clearance Therefore, how much are we paying for each document for authentication We will still go to Ministry of Foreign affairs to authenticate the same set of documents at #500/page. Which means I'll spend #3,500 on authentication there. Though I thought High court authentication was enough.....alas, lots of money still needs to be spent..... |

haneetram: The cost of living in Liaoning is relatively low compared to other provinces. Buying food stuff and cooking is cheaper than buying food. But if you want to buy food, you can get a good meal for about 500 naira. This is normal food not in big restaurants. If well managed, you can survive with 60,000 naira a month. There are buses that move round the city so you can go with a bus, there are subways in some cities so you can use that too. Those are the cheapest means of transportation. There are also taxis but much more expensive than the buses. Working in china is almost impossible as a foreigner especially as a student and even worse as a black person. If you’re caught working on a student visa, you can be arrested, fined or deported. Most schools will want their students to be taught by white peoples because they think our English is not the true English. Anyways, your best bet to making money in china is starting a business as you know china is the right place for that. This means I can survive with 1,700 yuan monthly. My scholarship will provide all necessary things but the monthly stipend is 1,700. Hope that is fine! |
