TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 3:29am On May 31, 2023
Asking for a friend.
During the application, he only gave two names because the new portal requested for two names.

He submitted his form on April 29. So, on May 10, he was asked to submit medical along with the police character certificate.
He submitted the two on the same day. Police character certificate was submitted through a link provided by the IRCC and the medical was resubmitted through a webform because it was upfront medical.

In short, he included in the webform that they should update his name and gave the third name. However, the name was written like this Olawale jelil Ajibade, instead of Olawale Jelil Ajibade. The middle name was written in small letter.

The medical was passed since May 15 and he has not heard anything from them.

He want to know if he can send them a message to ask point to the small letter used in writing the middle name, and also asked them about the application status, because he is not hearing anything from them?
Please kindly answer.

My brother, it depends on how you presented your case. In anyway, you can try present an amount like 1000 CAD that will sustain you for the first month.
People will be giving you many ideas that you should present the flight fee, yen yen yen yen. The truth is that they don't care about such thing. If you like, you can trek to Canads, if you like, you can fly. Just show that you can sustain yourself for the first month before they start paying.

Secondly, you need to proof that you are an asset, and you've achieved alot with a very good career progress. Ensure you talk about your previous achievements so far. This will tell them that you don't need extra money outside the school funding, and you will meet up with the standard of the scholarship for the period of your program.

Furthermore, you must breakdown all the expenses you'll pay from the scholarship in your SOP. For example, lets say your funding is 20,000 CAD per year and your tuition with all other expenses is 8,000 CAD.
This means that you have all the expenses + 10k CAD required by the IRCC + 2,000 CAD miscellaneous.

You must convince the VO that you will maintain your academic standard to enjoy this funding for the duration of your program.

In summary, you only need to show that you can sustain yourself for the first month before they start paying your funding.

Note: I am not an expert, and I only answered this based on the information I've gathered.

Best of luck to you bro.

**please ignore my typos and OYINBO**

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 8:19am On May 30, 2023
Are you sure this is specific to your application and not generic?

Whitie:
These were the reasons given
The agent said he explained the reason for the lump sum
They demanded for documents to proof Canadian host’s asset despite not been a minor
Someone should please explain the English cause I can’t seem to think straight and the possible solution if any
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 8:17am On May 30, 2023
Send your SOP and let me see how you explained your sponsorship aspect. I will only criticize that sponsorship aspect alone. I don't have free time like that because I go to the lab everyday.

Note: I am not an expert, neither am I an agent. I'll criticize based on my experience.

Whitie:
I was denied today even with 15m
Compound reasons given were based on finance even after paying 50% of my tuition😞
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 8:15am On May 30, 2023
Send your SOP to me let me help you to criticize it. I will only criticize the sponsorship aspect for you.

Whitie:
Mine was a lump sum sent into my Acc by my mom which my agent claimed to have explained in one of the documents submitted
Still got a denial
I don’t even know what to do again
The vo also made mention of a host asset/documents meanwhile,I’m not a minor
What could be the problem please?

How is it, have you received the PPR or it has not landrd.
Seems some people are also in this show.

henry15:
Hello,

Please I need kind opinion from the team here if the delay is normal, as most people I know received ppr almost immediately or the next day after medical was passed. This is my sister's application. She got a medical request in April 25, did the test and it was passed on 18th May but no other update.

On her tracker the eligibility has also been completed. Has anyone experienced similar delay ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 6:35am On May 27, 2023
Chai, see as that congratulations suit me and jumped my livers.

Thank you very much for suppressing my concerns.... 😜😜😜😜

Accessed:
In my case, it was same day. Maybe the delay is because of the other items you uploaded. I am sure your PPR will drop in no time from now.

Let me be the first to congratulate you.

Congrats! grin
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 2:00am On May 27, 2023
How many days did it take to receive ppr after your medical was updated to pass?

Mine was updated to pass since monday and nothing is showing up till this moment. They are reviewing eligibility and the other one.

Though when they requested for the medical, they also requested for the police certificate in which I uploaded and they said they are reviewing the police certificate I uploaded.

In anyway, I just want to know how many days it can take after medical status changed to pass.

Accessed:
I think you will get your PPR soonest.

I also did upfront medicals and Medical request dropped (and was updated) shortly before my PPR.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 4:53am On May 24, 2023
Hello guys, when IRCC requested for medical from my friend, they as well requested for another document (police character certificate). My friend submitted the police character certificate since last week Tuesday, and they updated the portal that they are reviewing the submitted document.
Does that mean they'll start reviewing again from the beginning?
It's like applying outside your home country is taking longer time than applying from your home country.
Though the medical has been updated to Pass. But eligibility and others are still in progress.
I hope there is no issue at all.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 1:49am On May 23, 2023
We applied on the same day, and our Medical changed to pass on the same day. However, nothing is coming forth till now. They are still reviewing the eligibility till now.

I even wanted to ask people that how many days does it take to give ppr after medical has changed to pass, and medical was requested before changing to pass?

mummyprincess:

I am not one of the gurus in the house, but I can suggest an ignorable suggestions.

You have HND Biochemistry, very good. This means you can do a diploma course.

You already secured admission, in which field?

You operate a small business in importation and exportation. However, does the course you are going for has any relationship between Biochemistry or importation and exportation? I think you must defend the course you are going for.

You have a landed property that you want to sell for your proof of fund. I think this is never a problem. I think you need to show the landed properties documentation, such as initial documentation before selling, and documentation after selling. I think this can explain the source of the lump sum.

laurilking:
Hello Gurus in the house. Pls I need your advise on how to go forward with my Canada study permit. I have HND in Biochemistry and I am going for PDC. I have Already sucured the admission and the DLI has provided me with LOA. Meanwhile, my employment status has been a bit of concern. I operate a small business that is into import and export and I do not really have money in my company account. Meanwhile, I do have have a landed property that that I intend to sell to use as proof of funds. Would this lump sum impact my application? Does my employment status as mentioned above matter? Though my wife is a lectuerer and she's going to add a letter of support that she will supports my studies. Also, First semester fees has been paid. It is a year program of 3 semesters. Advise kindly needed pls

Hello guys, will there be any need for transit visa in these two bookings?
One is laying over for just 45 minutes in Dublin.
The other connecting with another flight in Philadelphia after 5hrs 35 minutes.

Kindly advise on these two flights.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 3:07am On May 21, 2023
If you really want a good work, you need to first draft a rough one, so that someone that hope to help you will have something to write. You are the best that can represent yourself. You should work hand in hand with the person that will help you yo avoid misrepresentation.

Army2022:
It's a good sign.
Go to your bank, get a new SOA and I'll suggest you also request another reference letter from your bank for this new one.
Congratulations in advance 😁.
I'll advice you book your medical appointment now. From my observation, those that waited to get a medical request first, end up "very worried" about getting a closer appointment date. Because of the limited time frame.

P.s This is one of the reasons why people shouldn't tamper with their POF while their application is still ongoing.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 1:37pm On May 20, 2023
You guys should learn how to be practical in your SOP. Reference whatever you are saying within the text.
For example; I have enough financial support and backup for my study. First, I have paid my first year tuition fee (see receipt in figure 1). I also have the sum of $13,000 CAD to sustain myself for the first year, with another $2,000 CAD for miscellaneous. The available fund in my account/sponsor's account is #20,000,000, which is equivalent to $57,142 CAD (see figure 2 for the balance in the account). The total expenses I budget for my first year for living expenses is $15,000 CAD, which exceed the requred amount by the IRCC from students hoping to live outside Quebec, $10,000 CAD. (put IRCC website that shows the information here).

You need to explain with evidence how you are going to pay for your second year tuition, and how you are going to feed for the second year.

Note: I am not an expert. I just put this up based on what I've been reading on this nairaland.

I can help use overleaf to write your SOP.
I will charge you based on your SOP lenght and the number of documents you gonna cite in your write-ups.

Note: I am not writing an SOP for you. I can only help you to use a better tool to rewrite it.
I can also grammatically review your SOP at a cost.

Note: reviewing for you without correcting your grammars is free of charge, and I can only do that at my free time.

PCC is not compulsory for those applying from their country of origin. If you are applying from abroad, you must provide it by force.

zubizareta:
PCC isn't compulsory. It has been stated here several times. Many ppl have gotten visas without that. She should go ahead and address the concern of the VO which I am sure PCC wasn't among.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 2:06pm On May 18, 2023
I am not an expert, but I'll ask you some questions, and you can think if you answered those questions.

You have paid your tuition fee for the first year. However, can that 7 million pay your second year tuition? Can that seven million feed you for two years?

If no, did you address how you will pay your second year tuition and how you'll feed yourself for two years without working in Canada?

Epraize:
My Canada student visa was denied, and I paid full tuition fees. I have more than 7.5m in my acc and 5m investment too. The denial letter says my assets and financial situation is insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself. I want to re-apply What should I do to get the visa?

Asking for a friend:

She was asked for a medical after one week of submitting the biometric. She submitted the upfront medical through a webform and it changed to passed today.
She said her eligibility status says "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"

Please, what is the chance of her getting the study permit? She wanted to know if she should apply for accommodation at her university. Her university has a community that if she wants to get apartment there, she must apply before Monday.

What is her chance please.

Thanks all.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 1:19am On May 17, 2023
To the best of my knowledge, these transactions are not lump sum.
Lump sum is a ghost amount that entered your account ghostly, while the statement is printed out sooner.
For example, lets assume you want to print a 4-month teansactions, i.e from January 1 to April 30, the maximum in and outflow transactions taken place in your account until April 1 is #500k. May be some fearful amounts are now entering your account, like 2 million, 4, million, 10 million, 20 million, etc, as the case may be. You meed to explain where those transactions came from. If you don't, the VOs might thing you were depositing that amount in your account for visa processing.

Note: I have said "to the best of my knowledge." I am neither an agent nor an expert in visa processing counselling.

Tegnaworld23:

I think the issue is because of that ND, HND, and Diploma isshh.

As for the admission, he has a good profile. He just need to apply and pray too.

SandyDandy:
Thank you so much

The application Is for my husband he is a every busy person so i am the one doing everything. He is going for second Masters in financial Technology, he has ND and HND in Accounting, Diploma in financial management, and MBA in financial management so he is going for his MSC in financial Technology.

We will send email to them if it can be waived because the process of going through WES is another stress and time.

Please how is there admission process, even after WES Evaluation am I sure of getting
admission?
God bless you
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 1:43pm On May 16, 2023
Are you going for masters or PhD? I am going for a PhD program, Computing to be precise. May be business schools require that WES.

I also know someone that is going for Masters in Business Management or something related in Queen's. That program is a 1-year program but very expensive. She was not asked to submit any WES issh.

I don't know what is really going on about yours.
What is your qualification to be precise?

Also, can you send them an email that you only have official transcript and not WES?

SandyDandy:
God bless you for your response, please see the last mail from Queen's university. We need your advice here.

Hello Daniel,

I hope you had a great weekend.

I can confirm that I received your second reference.

I am still waiting to receive your official WES and once this is in we can discuss an interview with a member of the admissions committee.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Jenn

Hello guys, if you are requested to send additional document at the same time requested for medical examination, can you attach your upfront medical along with the requested document?

Will this cause any issue, or one should just send the required document alone?

Note: this person already sent the medical result through the webform to Nairobi. He was asking if he can attach the same medical results with the requested document.

Hello guys, I am asking for a friend.
When he went for the biometric, he was given some other documents showing how he should send the passport to them when requested.
However, the information contains that he will pay some money to their account, and he should send the passport to them through courier. We don't understand which money he is to pay. Meanwhile, the money he is asked to pay is enough to pay to and fro of DHL.
So, which money is that please?

Secondly, which other documents do you need to send with the passport?

Thanks.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sudo1986: 7:10pm On May 15, 2023
I am not understanding you here. Queen's University is not accepting WES evaluation. I have my transcript with the WES, and I told them that I'll send through WES. They said they dont accept WES evaluation. You can see the attachment for confirmation.

SandyDandy:
Greetings my good people
Please who know about WES evalution
Queen's university is really giving us headache, now that my husband must do WES Evaluation before they can look in to his admission
to do this Evaluation is not 1naira and am not sure if admission will be granted after everything, am just confuse right now

I don't know if we can just focus on UK because we already have 3 admissions waiting for us against January and Queens University is for November

Please, I need your advice on this, God bless
