Hello sabi mamas, I saw my last period on 8 the of October, then my doctor put me on letrozole 2.5. On the 13th day of my cycle I went for tracking which it was discovered I had a matured follicle on my right ovary. After dat I did not see my period though my cycle is unpredictable. Until last week Thursday I started seeing a brown discharge when I wiped till now, though I took progesterone tablet after I thought I might have ovulated . I hv done pregnancy test and it came out negative. I am 40. Should I induce the period or wait? I'm afraid may be I am going to perimenopause. Pls help or contact person or person who knows somebody that will help. Married in May 2019, got pregnant in November, miscarried January last year, then since then nothing has happened.
The brown discharge may be implantation bleeding or even ovulation bleeding. Was it a blood test you did? Did you do a scan? Whats your normal cycle length? You are currently on CD44, is your cycle usually this long?.
Don't induce yet pls.

Doctor said its viscosity is very low that is meant to be stretchy...cos its not stretchy, it slips out easily and quickly
Then ask the doctor to recommend something for it.
But viscosity is supposed to be low to enable the sperm swim, high viscosity means difficulty swimming up to meet the egg.

It's just like trying to swim in mud compared to swimming in clean water.

Oh ok will look out for it . As there been a different in d breast milk supply since u started taking it ? Oh we saw a dr about her toes today and he said same dat it will later balance as she starts walking. I do pray her own is like dat.
After birth of my DD till 2 months old my supply was very good. I could pump 240mls from 1 breast and my DD was thriving weight wise. But after the 2nd month my weight increased rapidly by 10kg and milk production reduced drastically. It was a struggle to complete the 6month EBF.
My DD is now 11 months and although I'm still breastfeeding her, milk supply isn't my priority for taking inositol. I have tried everything else in the books to lose the extra weight and nothing has happened yet so I'm trying inositol to help lose weight.
*I have pcos and only inositol helps me get pregnant/lose weight. *

Metformin, Inositol for women who have PCOS also works to bring on Ovulation. Weightloss also helps to bring on Ovulation especially for overweight PCOS women. Treating High Prolactin also helps with Ovulation because high Prolactin affects Ovulation

Unorthodox means would be The Bitterleaf Juice and Garlic cloves from CD 1 to CD 10 as shared by Bening.asweety and confirmed by some Mamas who tried it.

Below is the Bitter Leaf Recipe

Bitter leaf botanically called vernonia amygdalin should be gotten fresh from d plant. Collect about 25leaves and wash thoroughly. Then measure one cup of water and pour it in a clean bowl den start squeezing d leaves inside d water like u re washing cloth. D leaves will shrink and produce greeny foams. Stop wen ur water is totally green then sieve to remove d leaves. Ready to drink. Please dont refrigerate. If u cant get bitter leaves in ur area, try buying in stalks, it is better stored by spreading d leaves on a clean floor den collecting from there to make your juice than refrigerating.

Ten peel 1 - 2 Garlic Cloves, chew and swallow or swallow like pills. Don't mix the Bitter Leaf and Garlic together.
@anikettc @abg2222

I personally didn't use letrozole plus Bitter leaf combo but old time mamas that did and shared their wild used,
Bitterleaf CD1-3
Letrozole CD 5-9

Inositol is a supplement. I got mine on Saturday and the pharmacist confirmed it was safe for breastfeeding. But also confirm from your pharmacist.
Nothing was done to the toes, it grew out and became normal.

This is the first time we are running such test, all we've been doing are SFA, TVS, HSG in which all came clear.
So I feel we should look into the testosterone to try boosting it.
Ok.
Research DHEA supplements.

Thank you
I didn't use clomid . Doctor prescribed letrozole. I also used bitter leave and okro water religiously
Today's scan ( day 14) is written ovulation on my report. The doctor that did scan even said it aloud to his partner in the lab to write. Do I still need trigger shot with this. Can I inject myself?
The Gynea is not available at the clinic today.
Bitter leaf + letrozole is a good combo.
Are you feeling any signs of ovulation? I'd advise you trigger just in case. If you aren't afraid of needles you can do it yourself. When I triggered I got a nurse to help me.

NOBILITY22:

From Day 13, you have 2 mature follicles(25mm and 20mm) in your right ovary
And (22mm and 21mm) in your left ovary.

Ovulation is at hand between now till Wednesday,.. you might need a trigger shot to aid Ovulation.

The problem is your endometrial thickness is very thin(4mm), which might prevent implantation to occur.
You need to work on your endometrium.

I wish you good luck and baby dust to you..
I doubt the ones above 20mm will rupture..most likely will continue growing.
She'd need a trigger shot to force the ones above 18mm to rupture.
@lagbenjo were you on clomid? The thinning of the uterine wall is one of the side effects of clomid.
I suggest you trigger, keep BDing and also get low dose aspirin to help with the uterine wall. Also eat lots of pineapple core (the hard middle part of pineapple) afterwards .

Apparently very low testosterone is also a problem in females. Very low levels affect the woman's hair, sex drive and fertility. But from what I've read, the level is different for women at different times of the day and different times in their cycle. Also, doctors generally don't give testosterone supplements to women but it can be increased naturally.

Good morning mama's.
Please i notice my baby has an over lapping toe( sad face). She just 5 weeks old . Please any suggestion on how or who to see to make d toe all equal .
Please i gave birth 5weeks ago also and am still battling with my breast milk suppy. I bought the milk booster cookie, i take oat and papdaily but my breast milk not still coming out well to fill my baby directly. So i do more of pumping in d bottle to feed her . Pls what can i do to ve a full flowing breast milk for her to suck directly from d breast .
Also pls one of my breast brings out almost full bottle when i pump but d other breast won't even give mi up to 30ml even if i pump on dat breast for 1 hr or more . Please i am a first time mum and i ttc for over 5 years and dis is my first child. So i need all d suggestions i can get to do increase my breast milk flow and about her toe too. God bless u all . And ve a wonderful week ahead
Congratulations mama.
Seeing your post now reminded me my son also had overlapping toes as an infant..it grew out normally as he grew older. So id say don't worry too much about it now.
Did you have PCOS? I'm just realising pcos also affects milk supply even after childbirth. angry if you did, do get inositol and start taking it..it should help with your flow.
Also, if your pump is electric you can put your baby to suck the breast that produces more while you pump the one that doesn't produce much. I found that my baby sucking one breast greatly increased pumped volume in the other breast.
Drink lots of water and try not to stress yourself too much.

I’m not a psychologist but looks like he might be on the spectrum. It’s nothing to be scared of. Like the previous poster, Su.gah said, early intervention is key and very important. Where do you live? Nigeria? If yes, I’m not sure what services there are for kids on the spectrum in Nigeria. I know all states in the US have free services for kids on the spectrum. Your child will blossom with the right intervention and services, trust me.

Also, being in diapers at age 3 is not an indicator or failure or success. My almost 3 year old is still in pull-ups and he’s not on the spectrum or delayed in anyway whatsoever. I just haven’t had time to potty train cos I work full time and he’s not in the house with me for me to start training him. I potty trained my 5 year old when he was three and we literally potty trained over one weekend. He didn’t just potty trained for during the day as well at 3, he was night trained at 3 too. Which means he stopped peeing the bed at 3. I’m an advocate of potty training kids when they’re ready and able to grasp the concept. Makes your life so easy.
You know Nigeria, the first response to ASD is trying to cast and bind it out ....I also don't know know if the general hospitals have speech/occupational and behavioural therapists available as that will be the best bet cost wise.
A family friend whose 2 kids are autistic and previously non verbal are now very high functioning you wouldn't even know if he doesn't tell you. But he put in a lot of work and even quit his job and is now a full time consultant to other parents on ASD.
Wentworth Miller (prison break actor) was recently diagnosed as autistic as an adult...meaning that most people even as adults might fall somewhere on the spectrum cos the its a wide spectrum.

I am sincerely down, just put to birth 4 days ago. After 1year plus of trying to get pregnant , took in, husband stressing me emotionally during pregnancy and having an extreme high bp. Delivering through cs eventually. Now the major problem, after delivery my husband called my family members and his. They all came to hospital no privacy for me or my child, eventually i was discharged. I don't make any decisions of my own, my husband sibbling wants to make all decisions for me. My room is fully occupied with them, i can't rest because of them. I just found out that i am having spinal headache from the injection that was giving to me during cs, i am in serious pains, they feel i can't handle my child as a newbie. I am just so tired and confused. They won't even let me change diapers. I know they are helping me out but i want to bond with my child* crying*. I can't tell my husband, he would feel i am over reacting or don't want his siblings around. We have other rooms, they can be there and let me bond with my child at times . Maybe i am having trauma or over reacting. Literally crying now

As someone who doesn't like people in her personal space I understand your view. No you are not overreacting, infact its OK to be very emotional now but try and redirect it.
But first, send your sisters inlaw to buy you coke for the spinal headache.
I know you feel you want to be a good mother by swinging into action and doing everything by yourself but being a good mom is also taking time to heal so you'd be strong enough to take care of the baby when everyone leaves. Your body needs 6 weeks to heal from the CS, you need to clean your incision area every 2-3 hours with spirit after they take off the plaster which is already a lot of work.
Allow them bathe baby and change diapers and play with the child and only bring him/her to you when the baby is hungry. Let them cook for you, clean the house..please use them.
If you are breastfeeding only, which they can't do for you, that's the time for bonding with your baby. Your baby already knows you, your voice your smell there's no taking that away. So when it's feeding time you ask them to leave you two and you talk/hum/sing to him/her..when the baby looks into your eyes while feeding smile back...those are bonding times.

Meanwhile you still need to watch your BP so it doesn't rise again.

Also, it's your house! Even though they're are there to help they shouldn't make any decisions without checking with you first. Talk to your husband about that and let him relay to them.

Congratulations

Ma, I have a 1 year, 7 months old that reads 1 - 10 but does not talk. He only blabs. I dont know if I should be worried too. If you are in Lagos, can you share details of your speech therapist and the hospital you used with me?

If he reads 1 to 10 then he's talking. It's too early to be worried about anything. Just ensure you expose him to plenty vocabulary..talk to him always, read to him..be dramatic when you talk to him. I think boys generally do not talk early.

Gudmorning mamas, pls I need encouragement advice, and prayers. My dear son is 3 now but doesn’t talk ,point,he doesn’t turn when u call him but responds to sounds well.he doesn’t call mummy or daddy,he was hyperactive.although there are no children in our house. At 3 he is still on diaper.i don’t know what to do.we usually visit a neurology pediatrician since he turns 2,did serveral test, EEG on his brain and some evaluations to rule out autism. The doctor prescribes Epilim for him and we have been on that drugs but the only changes I have seen is he is no longer hyper,he can read A to Z,sings a lot but the words are not clear.he only talk to himself(cartoons language).no conversations with others.pls mamas,I need ur Advice, encouragement and prayers.God bless u all

https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/actearly/milestones/index.html

Im not sure what tests were done to rule out ASD but go through these links and compare his milestone against expected.
Ways to help him is by first understanding what's going on with him tthen helping with areas that he needs extra help in. These helps might come in form of speech therapy, behavioural therapy etc. Early intervention is key to helping them lead a normal life.

Hi mom. Please how is therapy going? How long has he been on therapy? How’s his response to therapy? How old is DS? Where did you do the hearing test? Though am 101% certain my son hears just fine.

It's been a long winded case for us but thankfully we have it figured out and working on it holistically.

..When he was less than a year I noticed he doesn't turn when you call his name. Although he did a hearing test at birth but I was asked to do another one at about 2yrs old.
..There aren't any kids in and around my house and he didn't go to preschool until he was almost 2 so no mixing with kids to spur talking.
..He noticed he didn't need to say anything when he wants something...just cry and he'd be fed or water given, goes to the toilet himself instead of saying he wants to wee etc.....so he carried on like that.
...I was reading to him from about 3months so by 1 he was already reading so he was technically talking but not making requests or engaging in conversations.
...At 6 months I noticed he had milk allergies so I switched to soy formular. Switched back to cow milk at 1 cos I thought he wasn't reacting to it.. but he just wasn't reacting violently like he did with the formular. With formular he would vomit immediately I fed him but at 1 he was having rash like reaction on his skin that I didn't link to milk until much later...he also had egg allergy.
...He always had upper respiratory diseases (running nose ) which later made his adenoids swell so we were always treating with antibiotics.
At 2 plus I engaged a speech therapist that worked with him until before lockdown (3+).

He enrolled in normal school at 4 and they recommended a speech and language pathologist to assess him.
His speech is OK for his age (infact he has serious American accent) but his receptive speech (understanding questions and making conversations) were like a 2yr old. So the recommendation was a therapist to work on it and a diet change.

Turns out, just like the milk and egg, he was allergic to some other foods that always triggered the sneezing and running nose that had us always using antibiotics (which also caused its own wahala).

So he's currently on a gluten free/casein free diet and with the speech therapy going on for less than a Yr (he's 5) there's been a marked improvement .

Hearing test was done at BSA hearing and speech Centre in Ikeja

Pls help a FTM. My Nine and half months old baby has refused to crawl. He can sit uprightly without support. He can roll but cannot sit unless u place him in that position. He can play with toys around him. He can stretch his hand to any desired toy but he gives up when his hand cannot reachit. He can turn his head to the back if need arise but he does not crawl.

He hardly respond to name calling. He looks at my face and smile when am playing with him tho.

Note. People said he has soft body tone and I have taken him to different hospitals who said he's fine and that crawling is not a compulsory milestone. I'm worried pls. Is my experience normal pls?
While crawling isn't really a milestone marker (some babies go from sitting to standing and walking without crawling) is he trying to pull himself up from sitting position to standing? You can also help him. Instead of just putting him in a sitting position you can lie him on his tummy and put the toys just within his reach so he's stretching to get it. .when he touches it you move it slightly away so he's forced to move towards it.

The not responding to name calling: my son was like that and I was worried he had hearing issues so we did a hearing test...his hearing was fine but he's on speech therapy..I don't know if it correlates or if it's just first child syndrome or boys not talking early but I suggest you talk to him. Keep talking to him everytime (not just plumping him in front of the tv)...when you're changing his diaper, bathing, cooking etc. He should be babbling now, right? When he does you carry on the conversation like you understand what he's saying but don't baby talk.
If he didn't do a hearing test at birth you can go do one.

Your input will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
It's not advised to tie your tummy after CS..but you can wear those post partum belts.

Even as an adult you use water to cook food but you still drink water afterwards abi? Same thing for when you formular feed, you should give them water afterwards. Only exclusively breastfed babies don't need water.

Try this...put her on the bed when she's sleepy but not asleep yet. You can either lie her on her tummy (if there's someone watching her while she's sleeping) or on her side with a pillow supporting her back and pat her back/bum until she sleeps off. Ensure she's not over clothed and room is in a good temperature.

There are some instances in the Bible that just women were delayed greatly in childbearing ( think Sarah)
There are some instances were women with a past were given second chances and were matriarchs of great lineages ( think Rahab)
Some women were outrightly cursed for their sins ( think Milcah, Saul’s daughter)

Medically, some infertility matters can never be cured. At that point is it not only God the person can run to?
If then it is God one runs to, God is righteous and just and demand clean hands and pure hearts.

What do you think?
I think you're very ignorant and using the Bible to cover it up.
A very high percentage of infertility in couples is due to male factor.
This group is a support group for people trying to conceive (both men and women) and if you have nothing positive to contribute but cast aspersions on the cause of fertility then you are not welcome here.

She's term and ok birth weight. Just feed every 2 hours if on breastmilk only.
Got to be careful so she doesn't reject the breast totally due nipple confusion...so breastfeed her more. You can't tell what quantity she takes from the breast because it can't be measured but if she sucks and either falls asleep or takes her mouth off the nipples without crying then she's full. Also confirm by her wet diapers.
No need for vitamins, she's getting everything she needs from the breastmilk

My DD is 7 months old and is crawling. Lately, she has been trying to hold on on chair or people to stand up but we noticed her toes are always curled backwards. If we try to stretch it, she'll shift the weight of her body backwards like someone doing squats.
Please is this normal at the stage or is it something that needs to be checked at the hospital?
Thanks
Do see a pediatrician. It needs to be checked out
