Now that's more like it. There is really no winner in a game of hatred, only temporal victories and permanent scars. I commend the Igbo leaders for this gesture, hopefully their followers will shelve their provocative arrogance in the interest of peace. No doubt,
the Oba has also learnt a lesson in public conduct and speaking. Let the healing begin.

God Bless you for this post.

Lagos is somebody's ancestral home. Respect that. Igbos should learn humility and stop saying 'Lagos is no man's land', that's unfair. Imagine what will happen if Hausas populate Aba and begin to chant 'Aba is no man's home'. It's like rubbing it on their face. it's unfair. We are Africans, and we maintain strong links to our ancestral homes. Noff said. Those who have sense should use it.

nice 1... i believe in one lagos

We've heard it time over time, we've seen it all over the place, yet you guys will not stop spamming every thread with it. Methinks these PDP ass-lickers have started again. With your divisive politics, if you make Igbo clash with Yorubas, and ur man JK takes the lead, ruling a divided state won't benefit him/anybody else, except some few elites....

Many Yorubas ave always admired Igbo women, Warri boys are well known to crack jokes and make d hood lively, my dudes in Alaba market and other places are taking profits to d delta and still making more.........let this continue, don't over-eat now so ur grandkids won't be paying the debt all their lives...

Let the spirit of lagos continue... pdp just want to use the igbos to get votes and claim all they lost in the federal federal level. JK is a pun in the game. i pray we all vote wisely

The only way forward for nigeria is true federalism.

PDP now using the igbos to campaign, framing issues to provoke the igbos to vote for dem...

Politics / Buhari, Aregbesola To Storm Lagos For Ambode by sulenuhu4gidi: 4:56pm On Apr 06, 2015
Sensing that the battle for Lagos State governorship seat on Saturday may not be a tea party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Daily Sun has gathered that the party has finalized arrangements to bring in the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, for a grand rally this week in support of their party’s candidate, Mr. Akinmwumi Ambode.

The APC was said not to be comfortable with the result of the presidential poll held on March 28, where it polled 792,460 votes against 632,327 votes polled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the situation that had emboldend the PDP to dream victory on Saturday with just a little more effort.

Buhari’s presence at the rally, Daily Sun learnt, would serve as morale booster to the APC in the state because of the inherent benefit in having a link with the centre, while Aregbesola’s involvement, according to a reliable source, was borne out of his being a unique grassroots mobiliser and an unrivalled entertaining campaigner.

The duo of Buhari and Aregbesola are being dragged to Lagos to complement the campaign powerhouse of the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, whose achievements in the state are viewed as legendary.

However, the leadership of the PDP in the state appears battle-ready as one of their national leaders, Chief Olabode George, was said to have vowed to campaign with the last drop of his blood to win the state for his party, insisting that his party’s candidate in the election, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, was a sellable material any day.

Against this background, Daily Sun gathered that all the combatants in the two parties were not leaving any stone unturned as they had intensified efforts towards wooing the eligible voters in the state to vote for their respective candidates.

Consequently, their open rallies, nocturnal campaigns and house-to-house contacts are now targeted at market men and women, artisans, non-indigenes, ethnic groups, social and political associations, student unions, Okada and tricycle riders associations and road transport workers as well as various professionals across the state.

Politics / What Rochas Okorocha Said Lagos Polictics by sulenuhu4gidi: 3:35pm On Apr 03, 2015
An Open Letter To Igbos By Rochas Okorocha

"A time of reflection for the Igbos?– Okorocha Speaks Again

Dear Igbo Compatriots:

One of the closest Igbo man to the President Elect is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa, a Senator who was defeated in the Senatorial Election.

See how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They couldn't override a pathological hatred for General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins, which he did.

Instead folks played tribal and religious politics to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man and the chance to make history as Senate President.

That's what happens when emotions trips common sense and folks succumb to hustlers like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, Mba (capital oil) hustlers after their own interests instead of the masses they pretend to serve.

I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan who wasn't going to win. And predictably he lost, so also our chance in the new administration.

I hate to gloat.

But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being Senate President.

Igbos are very bad at politics.

Fifty years after independence, we are yet to produce a president when others have taken multiple turns. Our answer? Blame others! If you only Hausas didn't do this or Yorubas didn't do that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our lot.

And sadly it won't stop until we learn to coexist with others instead of our 'better than thou' attitude when dealing with the Hausas and Yorubas. We are not better than anyone, these folks we thumb our noses at, are God's creatures like us.

We don't like the Hausas and we don't like the Yorubas, yet we populate their States in search for our livelihood.

Our politics should mirror our economic aspirations, not the other way around. There is no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living, yet despise the Northerners. That's being ungrateful. The gods of politics don't like that.

How long can this collective amnesia insulate us from meaningfully seating at the table, making contributions to Nigeria's political evolution?

How long can this foolishness go on?

How long?

There is a miserable silence across the land today, because we are realizing that we were sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as Igbo leaders.

Where are they?

Anyone home?"

Hmmm ... I sincerely hope some people are listening.
