Ebubu2: nursing, pharmacy versus tech which would u advice Let me break it down to the best of my knowledge:: 1. Nursing you make that money, average of 100k but they work a lot harder than Pharmacist and Tech. I’d you can withstand the stress, and have passion for it, go for it. Also you could incure debt for the nursing school… if you can pay out of pocket great, you will enjoy what you make. 2. Pharmacist: you make good money too, they raise faster than nurses. The new trend now is e-pharmacist who work from home and prescribe medications online. Just like nursing, you will incure debt after school, people talking about them making this big figures and they mention how much they pay in student loans and stuff. 3. Tech: We mostly work remote, have unlimited PTO and all those fancy stuff. You don’t need a degree or incure crazy debt to get your first job and the more your experience the more your income. Here you must find your comfort zone cos it will become your hubby. If you hate what you do, you will be frustrated. So choose what works best for you, at the end of the day.. all 3 fields guarantee 100k income with 2-3 years of experience. |

Buliwyf: You dey mind them. People just like lying online. I don't know if it's just a way to escape the reality of their lives by revelling in fiction That’s how they compensate themselves that they are doing great 😊 I remember somebody back when I was in Lagos, he would come home and spend like a drug dealer lol he brags about how he throw a $50k birthday for his gf back in the US and how he works in IT… fast forward to when I moved to the US living in Cali, I decided to visit his state to go learn o make he show me the way lol I got to realize that baba works in semiconductor clean room as assembling technician make about $17 back then, if we minus his rent from his income there’s no way he would survive. I realize he was a picker for yahoo boys 😂😂😂 At the end of the day, if person no show me their w2 or 1099, Abeg no pressure me 😂 |

Emetex22: It depends bro, If u have support, pharmacy is awesome and pays better with ease, Tech is fun and rewarding because it will be a hobby and takes u round the country, nursing is more flexible but stressful but u can work in between shifts and probably easier to attain while doing other hussles. How does tech take you round the country ? |

Ebubu2: can you quote the likely average salary you earn in IT annually? it would do us good in estimating.
some people here be claiming 100k per annum. can you validate or invalidate this? Yes 80-100k is realistic for most mid level IT experience , but then you don’t take all that home. That’s why we saying majority of these folks dropping figures here are either lying or they are money pickers at night 😂 we know them, using IT to cover face. |

Kingofmykingdom: You don’t know anything about transportation in US. Calm down and learn from me free of charge. You work in the Industry and I own a fleet, hauling hazmat, reefers, step deck and coast- coast. I move with Shippers and not loadboards . You don’t know anything when it comes to transportation. Ask me Lol I don’t have anything to ask you. You said you could make that much with 18 wheeler and I tell you that not right now. If you like have 100 wheelers, the market is down now. |

Smh I work in the industry, tell that to someone else. Transportation is good as at its lowest right now. This has got nothing to do with newbie or veterans … unless you’re hacking the load board to exclusively pack all the loads. |

JeffreyJunior: Though some may be boasting but to raise 250m in naira is not hard for a real estate investor in US.
I believe so much in real estate investment and my new focus is on smaller cities with good prospects.
A lot of guys in the States especially Anambra boys are into real estate and they flip homes all the time which is how some of them get legit money to oppress people back home.
Don't hit yourself too hard, save another 10k making your savings 20k, use it as down payment to buy a home in a small city near you. Don't buy single family home, buy multi family so you can easily rent it out.
The rent you collect will pay the monthly mortgage and still give you some change. Don't use first time home buyer credit because IRS will make you pay it back oo.
After paying the mortgage for two years, buy a second multi family home and grow from there.
Don't worry about the IRS and rental income taxes because you can write them off as expenses when you file your tax return.
The first move to escape low class in the States is to buy a home because paying mortgage is like putting money into your own bank unlike paying rent.
Shalom. Saving 20k to buy a multiplex while still not using his FHA… how much % you need as deposit if you’re not making that house your primary residence and not also using your fha lol You people just say this things only sha lol Anambra boys in ATL and TX, no worry we know as he dey go lol no come online drop Lamba lol |

Lagos is NOT the best administered state in Nigeria. Olodo you know nothing about public finance. America owe China not itself. If it was easy, America would print the trillions of dollars are pay off China lol dollar is just a fiat currency used to quantify the debt figure lol Lagos remains the best administered state in Nigeria, if you disagree name that Nigerian state. |

onumadu: Lagos is the most heavily indebted state in Nigeria, and there isn't much to show for those debts. For a fraction of what Lagos state borrowed, some countries have leaped into first world status. It is like borrowing N100m to fund your primary school education. Lol funniest thing I’ve read today. It’s just like an American saying America has world biggest debt and we don’t even know what it is going. Speaking of first world, how do you think they finance their structures!? Smh Public administration is not about calling out plans here and there with no solid plan on how to raise the funds. Lagos making so much money yet Lagos remain the largest populated city in Nigeria, yet the population keep soaring every single day. You wonder why NY infrastructure is shitty? There it is, population. Lagos is not special. It still remains the best administered state in the country… largest because it has enjoyed continuity in governance. Sit down there make politician dey sweet mouth you. |

GRVLagos: 1. Hopefully Lp continues the momentum from feb 25th and win the majority in the house but my government will work simply and effeciently, oue policies and actions will be so in interests of the constituents of Lagos that fighting it will be akin to fighting those who elected
2. all projects and contracts will be reviewed, a cost benefit analysis applied and benchmark the project to world bank standards to make sure the contracts aren't padded. we will continue and improve on the good projects being done and rework the ones that are not of value to the people of lagos.
3. I will work with whoever is in federal office to serve the people of lagos well, synergy obviously would be easier depending on what becomes of the current cases against inec ( they have too many questions to answer for the poor execution of the elections last weekend where they repeatedly failed to execute their own laws and protocols), but again my vision and mission is to serve the people and I will have to work with who is commander in chief, I have no plans to fight the federal government, I will present my plans and ideas to federal government which I believe collaboration would be beneficial to the people of lagos.
4. Improved waste management, provision of more public bins as well improving our drainage systems and making sure they are covered and refuse free. all these would rapidly improve the smell of lagos. I’m glad he agreed on this. |

pacificom: All this idea of travelling will be unnecessary if our leaders govern sensibly and put the interest of this nation first before their selfish interest to aquire excessive wealth and assets. I hope Tinubu will let down his critics and revive the economy of this country. Let me also remind them that a government that gives nothing to people should not be levying crazy tax on citizens. His government should prioritize empowering Nigerians youths and augmenting salaries to ease poverty and create a middle class among Nigerians, before thinking of taxing people. By acting this way, economic travellers will give a second taught and see light at the end of the tunnel. And for sure he will, God willing. |

Akwamkpuruamu: USA. Because they no say Tinubu is on seat and many naija citizens go like Japa, they increased their tourist visa to five years.
You know what that means naa Since you like dragging politics into every conversation now…. If it was because of Tinubu being a bad administrator they would have increased the price and not the year. US only give 5-10yrs visa privileges to countries they have good relationship with. Maybe you’re wrong, maybe they see a better Nigeria coming and trying to be one of our friends first. |

The new Nigeria is one of order, equity and justice. The new Nigeria is one where able and honest young men and women from the north, south , east and west will take hold of strategic government departments , doing their duty without fear.
