I have a Toyota Camry 2008. The gear delays before it shifts. When I am trying to accelerate beyond 40 KM/hr, the gear delays and the car makes a loud noise.

The gear was a 13 pin converted to a 10 pin, and my mechanic says that's the problem.

Please, I need suggestions on what could be wrong.

Properties / Need Accommodation In Abuja by sundayerhun(m): 12:35pm On Aug 11, 2021
So, I urgently need a place in Abuja. One room self-con.

But I have saved up enough money. So I'm looking for someone that wants to relocate and so wants to sublet the remaining months.

I'll prefer areas like Kubwa, Dutse-Alhaji, Dawaki, Dei-Dei, or anywhere close to these areas.

Thank you.

Hello, everyone

I'm seriously in need of a job.

I am a graduate of Optometry, so I can work as an Optometrist.

However, I'm skilled in content writing and editing, and can work in that niche also.

If I had people I could easily meet, you think I'd come here?

Chill.

Literature / Three Days Dead (excerpts) by sundayerhun(m): 9:21am On Jan 02, 2021
The old lady put the stove on. “How many days have you been dead? You’ll grow into it. It’s particularly this way because death isn’t the way you saw it while you were alive.”
Esohe despised the past tense; she was still alive. "But I should feel different. At least, I shouldn't feel alive."
“Do you feel alive?” The old lady poured some oil on the pan, fetched three eggs, and broke them into a bowl.
“I do. I can talk, walk. I can feel sadness, guilt…doubt.”
“And? Is that how to feel alive? Is that how you felt alive when you were truly alive?” She beat the eggs gently. Esohe had no answer to give.
“I am not going to convince you that you are dead,” the old lady added a pinch of salt to the beaten eggs. “Do you care for Maggi in your egg?”
Esohe nodded away.
"Put your hand under your breast and feel your heartbeat." The old lady said as she poured the mix into the hot oil.
Esohe hesitated, then pulled her shirt up, and placed her hand under her left breast. There was silence there. That sent chills over her, and she thought she was going to cry, but the tears didn’t come. She had not even bothered to check. It was crazy. She lived every day, not worried about the little organ in her chest.
“I am sorry,” the old lady said as she grabbed a spoon.
“What if I am not dead?”
“What if you are?” The old lady flipped the egg over.

Three Days Dead

What if you wake up dead and not know it?

Esohe woke up dead, and had no inkling of it.

She went about her routine, noticing glitches here and there - but nothing abnormal enough to bother her. A day later, she saw her friends' WhatsApp stories ringing of "RIP, Esohe". Just at that instance, her boss comes into her office with her replacement.

For the first time in her life (or her death, now), her mind was blown.

Over the next couple of hours, Esohe learnt what it meant to be a dead body. You could see everything, walk, talk, and feel inanimate objects. But no living could hear, see, or talk to you. They could only feel your presence by your interaction with physical objects. You could feel every emotion, remember everything, laugh, but never cry.

She made friends with another dead, Emma, and learnt about the dead life mostly from a deranged dead old lady. The old lady showed Esohe the path of peace everyone had to walk on. That was the second or real death. It was the only way to find peace because your consciousness was blotted out. But Esohe was not ready to 'die again'.

Esohe tried to get back into her family. Her mother did sense her ghost around, and it began to trouble her. Esohe felt the ache and pain she was causing her mother by coming around, but it was the only way she could heal – heal from the pain of never being close to her mother while alive.

When she heard her mother tell her to “find peace", she knew it was time to rest in peace.

Health / Re: Is Glaucoma Hereditary? Can It Be Cured? by sundayerhun(m): 9:16pm On Feb 08, 2020
Yes, glaucoma is heredity.

Most times, you won't know until you've lost significant vision. By then, the vision lost cannot be recovered.

Because the damaged optic nerves can't be repaired or replaced.

The BEST THING to do is go for a comprehensive eye exam. Ensure there's an Intraocular Pressure (IOP) check, and Visual Field (VF) screening.

A good doctor, however, should detect problems from your Visual Acuity(VA) and Opthalmoscopic findings (i.e. Looking at the back of your eye).

So please for a check up.

Yours Sincerely

Dr. Erhunmwunse

Literature / Your Demons by sundayerhun(m): 5:48pm On Sep 25, 2019
Your Demons

HE walks angrily into a room: it’s a living room with chairs arranged in two columns. Five people, a bit younger than he his are seated – three males, two females.

HE: Look straight. Raise your head high. All of you!

(They all do, save the shy, defeated DEMON 1)

HE: What happens when you keep your head low?

ALL (save Demon 1): They trample on you, and turn you to rubbish.

HE: And?

DEMON 2: You become good-for-nothing and they treat you like trash.

HE: What must you do all the time?

DEMON 2: Raise your shoulder high, heads up, eyes straight.

HE: (To Demon 1) Raise your head up! You disgrace the brotherhood. You bring us disrepute. Raise your head up!

(Demon 1 tries to raise his head up, but is too shy to)

DEMON 3: You can’t force him to raise his head up. He’s not like every one of us. He is different, he was made that way.

DEMON 2: He is just a foolish guy, nobody is made that way. He brings disgrace to us. Why would he allow them drag him through the mud like an idiot? He should have stood up tall and fought for himself like everyone else.

DEMON 3: Were you not there when they pounced at and spat on him? Didn’t you stand behind the pillar at the corner like one helpless leper? All you do is run your mouth and instigate trouble that we all fight for you. Look at you, you have no arms. Do you ever fight? You are just arrogant.

DEMON 4 (laughs loudly): That is freaking hilarious. He is a barking toothless bulldog.

HE: Shut up all of you!

DEMON 3: Really?

DEMON 1 (Raises his head): I am sorry. There was nothing I could do. They were stronger than me.

DEMON 2: No one is stronger than you. What have they achieved in their….

HE: Shut up! I have trained you guys over and over. We go through this life once, and we must not do so cowardly. We won’t let other stamp us out of this life. Life is a contest….

DEMON 4: So easy for you to say coach. I could have ruined that idiot’s science experiment, but you stopped me. He won, and I lost. You let him stamp me out of the contest.

HE: That is different. Fighting does not mean causing harm to others.

DEMON 3: Do you even listen to yourself? How do you fight without harming others? There is no victory where no blood is drawn.

HE: I’m in charge here. You don’t decide what is right.

DEMON 5: It’s been three years since your wife left you.
DEMON 3: What has that got to do with this? Shut up if you have nothing to say.

HE: You know, I am done for today.

DEMON 4: So we are not going back to deal with those unscrupulous elements?

DEMON 1: No, please. I don’t want to see them again.

DEMON 4: They shouldn’t go scot free. We can set their house on fire.

DEMON 5: You guys should forget it. The last time we set a house on fire it was coach that put it out. Such a weakling and a loser!

HE: You think I can’t deal with those guys?

DEMON 4: Let’s set their house on fire if you really can.

DEMON 2: Yes, let’s do this. Those guys deserve to be dealt with. They should never disrespect us again. Never!

DEMON 3: Are you guys thinking at all? I don’t agree to it, and so we are not doing it.

DEMON 5: What do you say, coach?

HE: She said we shouldn’t….

DEMON 5: Of course!

....

So what do you think the five demons are?
CLUE: Demon 2 is Pride.

What do you think the rest are?

In 2014, when I got my first book published in print - I remember clearly - it was the best feeling in the world: the feel and smell and beauty.

The satisfaction of finally having your work in print, and available for others to read.

I know the struggles I had to overcome to get that done: lack of proper editing, design; and of course, lack of money!

I'm pretty sure you face SOME of these issues that is putting a seemingly forever inertia in your writing career.

The Writing Hub is here to fix that for you!

1) We offer Publishing Consultancy Services, helping you explore more financially comfortable means of publishing.

You don't have to spend hundreds of thousands to get published.

2) We offer Publishing Services, where we can get your wonderful book out in print without making you rob a bank.

3) We offer Editing Services, giving your work the spark it deserves.

4) In case you have difficulty putting your work together, we can help you write.

All these for a little fee.

PLUS: For any of these package, we'd help you publish on Amazon and Okadabooks. You wouldn't have to go through the rigours.

So hit us up today @
