The paralympic athletes have always come to rescue the country from shame when able-bodied athletes fail to win medals at the Olympics as witnessed in the London 2012 Games.

The Nigeria Paralympics Committee (NPC) on Monday assured Nigerians that its athletes would win medals for the country at the forthcoming Paralympics in Rio, Brazil, from Sept.7 to Sept. 18.

At the London games, they won 13 medals comprising six gold, five silver and two bronze where as their able-bodied counterparts returned without a medal.

The south-east zonal coordinator of Consumer Protection Council led and headed by Mrs Ngozika Obidike has impounded 69 and half crates of expired Guinness Alcoholic drinks from a warehouse located at Awka-Ofemmili, Awka North LGA of Anambra State, allegedly belonging to a major distributor to Guinness Nigeria Plc.

Mrs Ngozika Obidike who made this known to newsmen in Awka, said the seizure was made following complaints by residents of the area, about possible food poisoning after consuming, Guinness Africa Special Alcoholic drinks allegedly purchased from the distributor.

According to her, “the complainant, Mr Ikechukwu Nnajidenma and his friends experienced severe purging and vomiting which made them to look at the bottles and found out that the drinks had expired. Immediately, we visited the warehouse with policemen, and discovered that 69 and half cartons of the Guinness drink have all expired. We (CPC) quickly took custody of them.”

Mrs Obidike who stated that the CPC has commenced investigations to ascertain the actual source of the expired products being sold to unsuspecting members of the public, also advised people to be mindful of the expiry dates on processed foods and drinks before consuming them.

The south-east coordinator of Consumer Protection Council further disclosed that the ceased items alongside other expired and unwholesome consumable products in the custody of the council would be destroyed publicly in line with the mandate of the council. “our job is to eliminate hazardous products from the market and address consumer’s Complaints amicably through investigation, mediation and conciliation. We shall destroy this drinks as well, because that is our mandate”. Correspondent reports that the expiry date on the label of the ceased Guinness products was 14th May 2016, while there were still being sold to the public as at 30th May, when the CPC raided the warehouse and impounded the products.

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, in Abuja yesterday, approved the release of the admission list of successful candidates into the Federal Unity Colleges, FUCs, for the 2016/2017 academic year.


Announcing the release in his office in Abuja, the minister said the list had been posted online via www.fmeinterviewtest.com and that candidates, who took part in the National Common Entrance Examination, should check their names on that site.

An analysis of the results indicated that a total of 89,231 candidates took part in the examination, of which 46,869 met the cut-off mark.

Among those that met the cut off mark, 24,422 candidates have been admitted, with Federal Government Girls’ College, FGGC, Bwari; Federal Government Girls’ College, FGGC, Owerri and Federal Government College, FGC, Enugu topping the list with a total of 400 students each. Similarly, Federal Science and Technical College, FSTC, Otukpo and Federal Government Girls’ College, FGGC, Tambuwal had the least number of 120 candidates each. The resumption date for all unity schools is September 19, 2016.

Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt made a notable run of his men’s 200m competition to make it eight Olympic Games gold medals in the ongoing Rio Olympics.

Bolt was the only runner in the field to break 20 seconds in wet conditions as he added the 200m title to his 100m crown . The race will be his last as an individual at the Olympic Games unless he should happen to go back on his promise to retire from competition before Tokyo 2020.

Andre de Grasse secured silver for Canada, Christophe Lemaitre of France. clinched the bronze medal while Team Great Britain captain Adam Gemili, who finished in the same time as the bronze medal winner, came fourth.

Gemili appeared to just mis-time his dip for the line and was beaten by millimetres in a three-way run for third place, just edging Churandy Martina of the Netherlands into fifth.

I have not installed pes 2016 before, but from my experience, it doesn't end with just the installation. They are some files you need to extract and then copy into their respective folders in you pes folder in your program Files before it works.

Or, simply Google on how to install it
