I was just writing about the need for a healthy lifestyle on the 'importance of ewedu' thread... In fact, I have come to realize that we are really what we eat...I happen to be a very sickly person back in the days...until I discovered the secret... Eating healthy and home made food actually cost less and is more nutritious... I do not take processed foods at all even though I live outside Nigeria. You'll never processed food(baked beans, hot dogs et all) or drinks in my refrigerator or pantry lai lai!! my sodium(salt) intake is so minimal, I use healthy oils for cooking (Avocado oil my favourite), coconut, olive and still in small quantity...my only laziness is exercise which I'm trying to incorporate into my lifestyle by God's grace gradually.....but I have a healthy BMI, blood pressure, sugar content level which I check myself on the regular etc...and prayers too...I pray very very well. When I met my DH, he's fasting sugar level was so high we all screamed, he has a history of diabetes in his family...I took him by the hands, now its at a healthy level.. In my opinion, there no disease on earth that doesn't have a cure in nature... But some of us are either blinded or just ignorant about these things... Thank you OP ojare |

nice14:I smiled when I saw you write ' I read my supernatural childbirth'...I think every mama out here should request this material if they do not have one already...it helps to build our faith and reminds us of God's promises concerning us mama...and every prayers to say, declaring God's words concerning us and our LO. I remember I was so ill in my first trimester cos I totally forget this ebook until DH reminded me...now, I'm glowing(complexion wise), no worries whatsoever, healthy as God wants me to be, I teach, cook, clean, go grocery shopping..this is cause I keep declaring God's words concerning me and my baby..... In fact, few days ago I didn't feel my baby's movement at all and I was saying it to DH that baby hasn't moved oo and the devil almost brought fears to my heart, I immediately remembered God's words, 'I will not cast my young or miscarry and the number of days I will fulfil"....I kept declaring, not long, my baby did a somersault...and I laughed..it's gettting into winter where I am, and everyone's getting flu and all, but I'm so healthy....though I also eat right(Oranges for Vit c) 'cos I told God I do not want a big bump, or fall ill....I'm 24 weeks going on 25 I have the ebook mamas, please ask if u do not have one.... God bless us all... |
Rachaelfrancis:It is well mama. I'm all for natural remedy...especially at the stage. If you weren't preggy, I'd have asked you to drink bitter leaf juice(first wash) but studies have shown it can cause contractions...so no drinking(though I drink very little quantity from time to time) I'm hoping you mean the outer part of your Vee..Get bitter leaf, rinse(remove dust and dirt) and wash, use washed leaves itself to scrub ur Vee, do not rinse off, it'll dry on you and fall off...do this morning and night...you should notice some difference after a while...if you can lay ur hands on cranberry juice, it helps fight infections too... I hope other mamas will help too. I had rashes too in my 1st tri though not on my Vee, but on my arms, and I used this same bitter leaves... |
Abiagirl777:I don't owe you any explanation but for the sake of this thread I'll oblige you... Very street smart, industrious, even built like our Igbo brothers, some are full of wayo too *side eyes* I'm Igbo by the way... |
See me o...I didn't even know foreigners needed resident permit to live in Nigeria... When I see a foreign national, i.e from their accent( e.g Ghana) I just wave it off and continue with my business... It was after I left Nigeria I knew there was something called permanent or temporal resident permit.. Na wa!! We are truly very accommodating and peace loving people in Nigeria.... I've got many Camerounian friends(Males and Females) here, their men behave like Igbo guys, some even claim Nigeria and even speak pidgin, only their accent give them away.....lolzz...don't mind me jor OP, I hope you get help soon... |
Make carrot oil.... Grate ur carrot, get Olive oil... Pour Olive oil in a clean dry pot on the stove, allow to get warm, then add ur carrot...allow to simmer for a while... End product becomes yellowish(orange). Allow to cool. strain with a strainer or close sieve into a jar. Use for your hair, and skin...very good! |
omojeesu:God bless you bro!! The day I started eating healthy, my life turned around...I used to be very sickly...kai!! Malaria and Thyphoid(back in Nigeria), just the first wash of bitter leaf I drink every fortnightly strengthened my immune system and winter(flu)- (Oranges and a twist of lemons) used to show me pepper till I discovered eating right....now, I'm as healthy as God wants me to be.. Just to add, you'll never find processed food i.e tin/can(baked beans et al) foods or drinks in my refrigerator or pantry NEVER!!.... People see my complexion and ask what I use and I tell them just food I eat. if I have blemishes, lemons and brown sugar takes care of them and they get shocked!! There's cure for EVERYTHING in nature, some people are either too blind or ignorant to see this. |
Here's a recipe to burn off fat/tummy fat. It worked for me and some of my friends that did it consistently. Method: At night, get 2 gingers and 3 Lemons(not lime), cut with skin on into small pieces and boil in 1 Litre water. 6 min high heat and 4 minutes on low heat. After 10 mins, take off the stove. Leave in pot till the next day, filter into a clean bottle and drink all day. Do this for 2 - 4weeks...for effective results always use fresh ginger and lemons, do not re-boil old ones. It's also good for fertility. Not recommended for Pregnant mums or Breastfeediing mums. |
Lies!! Lies!! Lies!! Nigerian women still get shame, we are learners!!...come to South Africa and see!! If you live in SA, you'll definitely concur...these women(old and young) will sleep with you for as low as 50 rand(less than 1K naira)...very fine girls and women ooo...kai! Shame dey catch me to talk sef! We cannot be judged the most unfaithful and yet our men in diaspora still come back home to marry us... Abeg OP talk another thing. |
Very unfortunate... In as much as I blame the silly landlady for storing such in the house, equal blame goes to the parent of this child...kai!! I can't even begin to wrap my mind about how any sane parent would leave their 2-year old at home and go to work...ehn? Abeg, we are the sole custodian of our children and God will hold us accountable for how we treat/treated them... After 7 years and now the child is gone in such a manner?? Ooh!! I'm so sad!!! |
Bless the lord oh my soul and all that within me bless his holy name.... |
God bless you! Keep them coming... |
I'm still learner when it comes to online buying(except Aliexpress) and need help.. Amazon doesn't also ship to South Africa and I intend to buy something very important...the price here of the same product is so exorbitant I almost fainted the day I saw it in a store.. I'd like the gurus here who can help me out abeg...kindly let me know the process I'd need to go through bikonu... |
Thank you Jehova Jireh!! |
ihesiuloa:I won't banter words with people like you...you obviously didn't read my comment well before commenting!! I am not Yoruba just for the records... |
I pity Ndi-Igbos that will vote for Jimi Agbaje!! It seems like you people want to die!! LOL I read the Oba of Lagos's threat and I shivered(yimu)...anyways, I just think the Oba of Lagos didn't pass across his message with wisdom(no pun intended). However, if he says he doesn't want PDP anymore in Lagos obviously because of their past, then so be it!! If I come to your house and I see : do not enter with your slippers and I do otherwise, that would be disrespecting you the owner of the house....If Ndi-Igbos wants PDP, they should go and vote in their various states and leave Lagos alone....Lagos isn't ours', so, we'll have to cooperate with those who owns it irrespective of how much we think our resources helped shaped and built Lagos!! |
tchidi:Beetroot the super food...very rich in Iron, Vit C, Vit A, enhances skin complexion(this is a fact) good for people fighting anaemia... I eat it as salad in almost all my dishes... Get the bulbs, wash well, boil in water until soft. ( I drink the juice, it has this corny taste) Peel the skin, grate like you would carrot or okro...and eat straight up or add to rice as a side dish, eba, whatever...or mix with mayonnaise! Your palate would get used to it with time as it is not bitter or very sweet...I'd say bland. If you eat too much of it, your pee or poo may turn red(that's from its very reddy colour)...lol... Picture of my boiled, grated and refrigerated Beet.

Hmmm nice one. Information is key, so we eat with understanding... Onion also helps one get well fast from illness. Method: Cut open a fresh onion and place close to anyone with illness, mostly at night. In most cases, u'll see the onion turn brown, and the person feeling better... |
duni04:Hahahahahah!! You keep going about your 'man-ness'...that's where I have a bit of a problem now... Maybe you shouldn't be an employee then. Just start up your own business dear. |
duni04:Your age mate but she's your boss remember? As for being a man, just pocket it. See darling, it all has to do with how you handle the situation...light-heartnedness...it's hard I know 'cos during my time there were days I cried on getting home... Don't let people fool you. As we journey through life and climb the ladder in our careers we'll encounter situations that are not palatable....but wisdom will take us far far... Do u know that even if u have gone to say HR or her superior(maybe her dad) to report the treatment you may also be blamed and called proud? Let's put it in perspective: 1) It's her father's firm 2) She's your boss 3) You need the job |
Tricky situation... It's not only in Nigeria this sort of things happen, even in saner climes u'd be shocked. I remember I was a victim to this too in a firm, in fact my own was so horrible that during lunch I'd see my manager(White) come to my table, hand over some bills rudely to me and ask me to buy not just her lunch but several people...when she and others could easily have used the vending machine or a cleaner.. This episode remains the most humbling and annoying part in all my years of working. What did I do? I was buying...lol....until.... One day, I was fed up and pretended to be engrossed in a particular task and decided not to have lunch and saw her coming as usual...before she could ask me, I just told started talking about how tasking the assignment was and if she could help me with lunch this time around. She looked up at me very surprised, murmured something and walked away taking my money with her.. Next day, I walked up to her table before she came to mine and asked her what she wanted...she smiled and told me. I went. Next day, I did the same and before you know it we all started going out for lunch together... It was one of the HARDEST things I have done!! But I needed the job, so to keep sane I just had to apply wisdom... Wisdom the bible says is profitable to direct. In your case OP, you would have carried. Compliment the bag sef. And anytime you ride together, do it even before being asked(that way it doesn't look like u are being used) and compliment again if u can...then after a while, as soon as you arrive at d office u jump off quickly even before she asks. By so doing it wouldn't be seen as been rude or proud... |
Thank you Jesus for provision... Thank you baba mi |
Thanks OP. However, I'd like to know when someone was last seen. 'Cos it says if I check "nobody" it means I can't see others last seen too... same with the read receipts. If one turns it off, you cannot see others too...hmmm whatsapp!!! |
Thank you Jehova Jireh! |
