Mushrooms,
Cheese
Lasagne

In fact all foreign food. Can't deal abeg.

My stomach is so Nigerian. Food I love

Yam -- Jeeez! I can die for yam. Only its so hard to come by and very expensive. I literally use to hide my tuber in my closet. No time.

Rice, Beans(moi-moi, akara,) in fact most Nigerian meals. Western(ewedu and gbegiri and efo riro) and Igbo soups(best thing to happen to mankind) and calabar too. Northern delicacies? Mba oo!!

When you say "our boss" who are you referring to?

Anyways, your non-practising lawyer definitely sees potentials in you/your friend. I'm sure he's only trying to maximise this opportunity.

He's a smart boss albeit cunny.

Bros, do it de Nigerian way, go down on your knees and beg your oga and tell him the truth if not, he won't trust you again. Remember, first impression last longer and you don spoil am already.

Go down on his knees to beg? A professional? Never! He lied, yes! All he needs to do is earn his boss trust again by being very honest and hard working in the future.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should He Take A "Pay Cut" Or "Resign" Honourably by sunnshyn(f): 9:52am On Jan 13, 2015
Tough situation. However, whatever you do, accept the pay-cut, see it as your punishment for lying and a stepping stone to your bright future..

Reality is, this is an industry you've always wanted to work with/in. So monetary compensation I think for you should be secondary, get the experience first.

Don't worry about your integrity and stuffs like that for now, you'll have to work twice as hard now to earn their trust.. And from time to time, where the need or opportunity arises, you apologise to your boss about what you did(pay slip falsification).. And work harder than any other person, be very honest.

In the not so far future, you may be able to re-negotiate your pay because you would have earned it by then. And even if the opportunity doesn't show up for you to re-negotiate, be on the look out for better opportunities, now, you'll be armed with some manufacturing experience and be asking for the kind of pay you truly deserve..

Good luck!

Nigerians celebrating mediocrity since 1960...smh!!

See the ugly, old-looking and expired trains!!

And they keep issuing 'tickets' that litters everywhere...what happens to other forms of payments? Say using a card that you buy fares on as you travel and you keep using it?

Nonsense!!!

This is Ose Ani served with pounded yam.

This is one of the tradtional delicacies of the Ahaba people. It is made from fried egusi seeds, fried pepper, crayfish and ground fish, among other ingredients. No form of oil is used in its preparation. There is also no boiling or 'cooking' required. As such it is a fast food of some sort.

This soup is currently going extinct as people of the younger generation now rarely prepare it, perhaps due to lack of knowledge of its existence and/or preparation.

While not looking like the most inviting of meals, it is certainly a very tasty soup. It is also quite nutritious due to its high protein content from ground fish, despite its lack of green vegetables.

It is not forbidden to serve it with cooked or fried or smoked meat/fish, but it is traditionally served as below.

I personally ensured the pounded yam was perfectly made, as I learnt from old Mumsi preparing her most cherished meal cheesy

Ahahahah Nice!! Takes me back in time. My grandma makes the soup too.. who are the 'Ahaba' people? You mean Asaba? I'm from Ibusa and just curious.

I read every bit of this interview...very inspiring and comforting...at least we know there is HOPE afterall for our dear country.

So many people on this thread didn't go beyond the title of the thread and kept spewing rubbish! It is sad.

Prof Osinbanjo has shown through detailed and well thought-out responses that he understands our plight and is ready to walk the walk...this alone gives me HOPE.

I sincerely wonder how people can still keep rooting for GEJ/Sambo after all the hardship. GEJ may not be bad, however we know he is surrounded by criminals. That's why the likes of Asari and Tompolo can be harrassing us the way they please as if they own the whole of Nigeria. Very sad.

Change is near, and we want to feel that change in every nooks and crannies of Nigeria..

"Evil thrives when good men sit about and do nothing"

Enough is Enough!!

I'm really concerned o...what do these men in power do with all these salaries and loots?

I mean, how do they fall asleep at night knowing the kind of pain they inflict on people?

Let's say Fayemi was owning and didn't pay Sept and others salaries, now tell me why Fayose will be giving out Chicken and Rice and still deduct the charges from their salaries and in fact only pay half on the eve of Christmas?

What did this man say that made you people vote him into power with all your fountain of knowledge?

I'm afraid! Very Afraid!!!

@Itunup and Silvermist, welcome to your LOs! December babies are always pretty.

Someone said when I get home, she's going to show me a trick on how to adjust my jeans to wear them a bit longer with my growing waistline. If it works, I'll share it.

Yes, it contains folic acid...I really appreciate! Tnk u.

Rather than take Pregnacare, check if your vitamins have Folic Acid (very important for the baby's development during the 1st trimester) and start Vit C and Blood capsules. Start them now, because that's the basic they will give you.

Can you find Bitter Kola? I heard it helps. Any other mommas have ideas?

We just got Pregnacare that has omega 3 and Cal-c-mag.(Calcuim). I've not started any vitamins. So will start these. I hope I'm on the right track?

Bitter kola? Ah! I'll need to send DH to go looking.

When you want to smoke marijuana, get the quality ones like "skunk sk" or "sour diesel (not sold in Naija)".

Don't buy the normal weed, it's grossly adulterated.

Some ppl read his title as prof n already assumed he will b great 4 a vp. Abeg johnathan no b PhD holder?
Mtcheww.
I will b here to laugh at so many ppl. No b naija we dey?
Politicians n their sweet talk n humility until they get into office. All I pray is God should give us a good leader b it APC or PDP. We should learn to look pass religion or party. Pray 4 who can lead.we r too sentimental wen it comes to leadership.
I still strongly feel APC has a wicked agenda.. something tells me so. Though am not a fan of APC neither am I a fan of PDP . Let's wait until APC looses or wins then , wen the dragon is unleashed na we go feel am.

If you are also praying for a good leader, why don't you support one(Prof Osinbajo) who doesn't have a taint of corruption(just yet) amongst others who we know already...or is this a case of "the devil you know, better the angel you don't know"?

He should quietly walkaway from that evil gathering.

Here's what we've been waiting for...

I'm just a lay-man, the voice of several Nigerians praying and hoping for change. I'm not an 'ancient' politician as most Nigerians are...always looking back at the past and recounting experiences and losses.

Anyways, we've always said we wanted change and know that change cannot be made or gotten from these same people who have ruled us from the days of Gen Obansanjo till date..

Prof Osinbajo with this impeccable CV and pedigree, a man who has served at several popular positions at different times during his career, an economist and a good christian is who we need in the present day Nigeria!!

Seriously Nigerians, we have continually asked for change, and here it is..the true definition of 'fresh air'..

Let's give these ones a chance, that's the only way we can save our dear country; we keep taking chances until we finally get it right..

Sai Buhari and Prof Osinbajo 2015...God bless Nigeria! God bless Nigerians!!!

When you go to the market to buy the food stuffs, ask of uziza seeds.its tiny and black. at least 20naira worth of it is ok to cook a pot of soup. Ofor is a thickner just like achi but I prefer you use ofor because its whiter. you must grind it together with pepper, crayfish, uziza seeds.
Without Ogiri, bitter leaf soup is tasteless. you must use it to cook the soup or else it wont give you the real taste.

Ok, I'll ask from the African shops if they have these ingredients. I appreciate mummym.

Alright!

beef
afo anu,shaki
stock fish
black fish/mangala
pomo
bitter leaves
crayfish
uziza seeds
ogiri
grinded ofor (thickner)
palm oil
salt and seasoning cubes

wash the meat, shaki ,afor anu, stockfish and mangala and put it on fire to cook.Add salt and seasoning cubes to it.and little water so that it doesn't burn. after 20minutes add more water and let it boil for 5mins. add measurement of one cooking spoon of oil, ogiri, blended crayfish, offor, uziza, seeds and pepper. Allow to cook for 10minutes till it thickens. Wash your bitter leaves and put in the pot and stir. if the soup is too thick, add little water.

Tnk u mummym...I appreciate. You are officially my mom, please accept. And you support APC. Lol

Now mummym, let me not lie, I don't know what Uziza seed is o... What is grinded Ofor? Is it Achi(can't rem now) too? Must I add Ogiri too?

See, I'm Delta Ibo and my original mom never ever made these soups. We only ate - okro, egusi, ogbono..finish! No one complained. But I buy outside when I can sometimes...
