I believe..everything is possible if only we believe...that's what my bible tells me.

He healed me from an incurable disease what then can't he do?

The same thing can apply to any situation we find ourselves. The only problem is the devil causes distractions around us, so we shift away from God's promises in the bible.

The word of God remains! He honours his words than his name. If only we can believe and walk in faith all things shall also be possible to us.

God is no respecter of persons, what he did for one, he can do for the other!!

What do you need God for today?

- A good job?
- A Godly wife?
- Divine healing? (Cancer, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS)??

What?? Name it!!

God's word is available to us. The just shall live by faith alone!! Halleluyah!!

Come to God, confess your sins and you are forgiven! "He forgiveth all my inquities and healeth all my diseases!!

Oh! How, I love Jesus!! Oh! How I love Jesus, Oh! How I love Jesus, because he first loved me...

Be blessed!!

Oh lord my God,

I bless you from the very depths of my heart..

Ah! Words cannot describe all the blessings you have bestowed me with.

Thank you for life, my husbands, and mostly important my health. The devil came, he tried, but we conquered and I bless you cos only you could have done this...they said it couldn't be done, but you shamed them.

Thank you for the blood of Jesus that avails much for us, that blood that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Daddy mi, I thank you. Your praise shall continually be in my mouth.

I praise you today and will all the days of my life.

Hello mums in the house.
I try not to panic or fret, I look up issues if I feel concerned but now I have a minor situation.

I wonder if anyone has experienced this. I have rashes and it itches like crazy, from the top of my arms down, some are dark patches now as a result of itching. Some are on my feet. It's been on for quite a while now. Pls mums, anyone experienced this?

May God bless us all and make us carry to full term and also answer all ttc in Jesus name, amen!

I choose option A. If DJ were in the much touted India, wouldn't the funds have been in the care of his family? So what's the big deal in making payments to the hospital and handing the rest to the family? There is already a plan in motion for his treatment going forward so where does abandonment come into play here? By the way, the treatment may last weeks, months and if he's extremely lucky, years. So we expect the Tehn volunteer to keep following him here and there for unknown amounts of time? What other goal do we have for Tehn please? Abi is cancer treatment a one time thing then it's over?

Let Tehn ensure the hospital is paid and the chemo starts like the option A suggestion and hand the rest over to the family. They would still be able to check in on him now and again. Or will the chemo only work if a Tehn member is physically present to watch it drip into his veins?

I agree with you.

Pay what bills?
How does it make sense?
If the family request for 1million to carry out operation "a", tehn pays the bill right?
Tomorrow they ask for 30k, tehn pays right?
Next week they ask for 5naira, then tehn says no money in the purse again.
So where is the sense here?

Just take it easy...if TeHN with their consultations with DJ's doctors and if I'm not mistaken with the indian hospital have chosen to go the chemo route, what then are we waiting for?

I'm sure they(TeHN) already have an estimate(please correct me) of the said chemo fee. DJ's family wouldn't be coming up and down for money cos already the treatment bill would have been settled. I'm just making suggestions here. You may please suggest too na...

I understand how you feel and everyone else...however, I'm a sucker for solutions. Our going forth and back with accusations hasn't done much at all...DJ's still lying helplessly.

Let's make suggestions and move on babyosisi nnemo!

Nobody has written off anyone

We spent the last few days identifying a treatment plan which we have tabled to the house

We are saying however we cannot continue on this case

The options are to
A Handover the monies less chemo (which will be paid to d hospital) to his family
They will handle the logistics and ensuring he is available

B. A new team is set up to handle it
This team will be given all d funds

Well, I think paying the hospital fees for chemo and handing over the rest to DJ's family makes sense at this point. Some people's initial fear was that they(DJ's family) may not go the hospital way. However, If TeHN pays the bills, then his family will just need to coordinate his going and returning for treatment. Makes sense to me..

Maybe you can help us understand how an amount less than N3million would have covered travelling expenses for 2 people. Paid for the necessary treatments and catered for the living expenses of the family member who would go to India with DJ. And if things did not go as planned and the most dreaded thing did happen, do explain how the same amout would have been used to send a body back to Nigeria?

If you can help us understand how something that requires a budget not less than $30,000 could have been done with a budget that was less than $16,000?

This could really make a big difference.

I'm on DJ's side no other persons.

Now bros, if you have followed this thread from the beginning carefully, and seen how people rallied around to donate(God bless them), how Idowu and her crew(God bless them) mentioned people, my brother I think we could have raised the said amount with God on our side...

Somewhere along the line, focus kinda shifted for whatever reason.

To the matter at hand:

Only Tehns and God knows and understands why they have gotten to this point, it's their choice and maybe we all should just respect it and look for a way forward.

DJ is counting on us, same with his family, so I suggest we look inwards and come up with a plan B. No need for more bickering, we all have done enough of that.

We've been told to form a new team, so re-strategizing is what we need now.(It's so sad I am very far away and cannot be there physically), with God on our side success is attainable.

Food / Re: Why Does The Rice Under Get Burnt When Cooking Jollof Rice? by sunnshyn(f): 4:22pm On Jan 26, 2015
On a lighter note..

Why do we Nigerians refer to the cooking place or cooking appliance as "fire"? E.g - put the pot on the fire to cook...I'm also guilty of this.

I remember once I told my colleague(Namibian) who was cooking at the time to check her food on the fire...omo! This chic ran. I was shocked. Until she told me she thought I said her food was on fire...I so laughed!!..

Please mothers, I will appreciate it if you can remember me when you pray. I am rejoining this thread by faith.

How old are you OP?

How are you actively engaged in the politics of our nation besides coming to rant on Nairaland?

Most Nigerian youths aren't involved even in grass-root politics of their states.

How then do we begin to elect youths or people in their 40s in political seats?

Even when a youth finally beats all odds and then makes he's intentions known, we call him 'unpopular'. What happened to the likes of Pat Utomi and co?

We do have a female running for the post of the president, why havnt we campaigned for her if truly PDP or APC isn't what we need again...

Listen bro, Nigeria isn't ready for a younger president just yet in my opinion. Maybe after 2019.

For now it's Gen Buhari!

Always waiting for the west and disregarding our own...inferiority much?

Welcome development, whether it works or not, at least it shows our doctors/researchers are busy working out something, not just sitting and waiting for handouts.

Govt should provide funding. Enough of 4billion on food and what's not.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

Not easy, I know how you feel.

With me, moi-moi was/is my saving grace. I also drink garri without sugar. Eba and Okro I eat too with lots of pepper, but I've gradually reduced the pepper.

When I can't eat, juicy fruits comes in handy. I make them into smoothie.

For water, I add slices of lemon. Helps with nausea. You could also try ginger like the other poster suggested.

Doh! God is your strength.

I feel for una. Crude oil price has fallen but the average Nigerian still pays the same price for petroleum products.

Thank God I live in yankee, I have saved a lot of money on petrol for my car. Everyday oil price falls I smile from ear to ear grin

It's really terrible my brother. I also do not live in Nigeria, but have my family there. It hurts so bad to see the way issues that affects and threatens our democracy are been handled.

It's amazing how the average Nigerian seeks change, but when one fearless person objectively criticises the govt, pro-GEJ starts screaming blue murder as though we do not all have eyes to read and ears to hear..I wonder how they go to sleep at night sha!

See South Africa, only 2hrs load-shedding and everyone's calling for the head of the president..Eskom's head is having sleepless nights answering queries from the average South Africans why load shedding...but in Nigeria? Whosai!!

It is well.

A woman like Oby knows a great deal about Nigeria than most of us.

She knows GEJ is a good man, who unfortunately has surrounded himself with sycophants and wicked people and is now so helpless.

She's speaking out, saying the minds of many Nigerians. Abi, how does one begin to understand before explaining why GEJ visits Maiduguri just one month to the presidential elections? What has he been doing all the while?

Listen, GEJ is not just weak, but very dull, very dull. Just like Oby we all know this. That he has a PhD isn't a criteria for effective leadership.. GEJ has failed all of us in so many ways.

Anyone who continues to support GEJ and his administration amidst all this poverty, hardship and uncertainties are those who benefit from it and are therefore anti-democracy...

We need change!!

God bless Nigeria!!
