GudluckIBB: Returning the money is better than going to court for now.
Or are you happy that 23B naira of our collective wealth went into private pockets? Your collective wealth? When did money donated to a presidential campaign by private companies become your collective wealth? Are you a shareholder in any of the companies? Last time I checked, Bukola Saraki rallied 20bn naira from private business men including Dangote, Otedola and Wale Tinubu for the last presidential election. Who will investigate how those monies were disbursed? The fight against corruption should be all encompassing and not selective or else a bad precedence would be set. |

Politics › Re: Niger Delta Militiamen; No Negotiations, No Amnesty by Sunnynwa: 10:39pm On Apr 18, 2016 |
fiizznation: The time to deal with economy saboteurs(Niger delta militants) is now. Over the years, clueless and unserious government(s) have been either negotiating with them or some sort of silly amnesty was given to them, this in my opinion is the zenith of foolishness. Why on this God's given earth will any serious government that have Naval officers, Air force personnels, police force, civil defence and thousands of gallant soldiers be negotiating or pleading with militants/terrorists not to blow up pipelines that transports our gas to one power plant or another? Buhari and his APC government shouldn't mince words upon words, they should start taking serious actions.
Nigerians especially those that didn't vote for this present administration have been retweeting the NO LIGHT NO FUEL NO MONEY #hashtag, and the funny thing is that the same people retweeting that hashtag are equally the same group of people who jubilates when the so-called militants blow up the pipelines thereby putting everybody in darkness.
You don't want erratic power supply but you are always in jubilant mood when pipelines are vandalized. Once again I want to use this medium to remind president buhari of his promise that the nation's power supply will improve greatly. The 2016 budget is yet to be sign by the president. Upgrading our dilapidated navy by equipping them with the best fast pursue boats, sophisticated weapons, Intel and a broader logistics should be an important priority in president buhari's budget.
What was done to boko haram should equally be done with any group of persons that swore that Nigeria/Nigerians will not have peace. There shouldn't be any favouritism in fighting militants and their terroristic acts. If any group of persons have any problem with the government, then taking up arms against the state or blowing up pipelines thereby putting the nation in perpetual darkness is never the answer nor is it a solution. Nigeria should stop putting itself in a situation whereby at the end of the day it will still be held to ransom
Like shekau like Tompolo, enough is enough. This is my clarion call to the person(s) in power that will put an end to pipelines vandalism once and for all
May God bless us all Primary school pupils have invaded Nairaland. |

But the facts now is that they cry and suffer more than the bereaved. No electricity, no fuel, no money, no 5000,no free food,no economy everything NO! NO! NO! NO! Ariani: Lol, why are you sure that Ebonyi generated less this year? Let me guess, because you are a typical Yoruba man, an enemy of Igbo progress and only wish us retrogression?
Abia generated 12billion in 2014, but generated 14billion this year, Anambra generated 10billion in 2014 but generated 13billion this time around.
With decrease in federal government allocation, states are becoming more aggressive in generating IGR, I don't expect Ebonyi to be any different, I expect them to follow the Anambra and Abia template, why? Because I am not a Yoruba man, I am an Igbo man, and always wish and hope for the best for Igbo states, which is why Imo current condition pains me alot. Bros, Anambra generated N14.8bn this time. |

omobaekiti: is it hatred or the need to rule that has so blinded you to an obvious and well calculated lie? Let's for the sake of argument accept that BH is growing in strength, and the government is suppressing news from emanating from the NE. Biko explain why those leaving in the region are not crying out,I was at the stadium in Maiduguri when elkanemi warriors played against shooting stars of Ibadan,a thing that happened last about six years ago. Damboa road has been closed to traffic for a very long time two month ago the road was opened to traffic with the NA patrolling the road with power bike. Soon Bama/Baga road will be next, which would make it possible for those coming in from gombe to travel faster without the perambulating through Azare,so tell me does these show that BH is growing in strength? In case you are wondering why I know this,I am on ground and been shuttling between Maiduguri/Bauchi/gombe,for the past six month.
