Jokes Etc › The Origin Of April Fool by Sunnynwa(op): 7:54am On Apr 01, 2016 |
April 1st is named FOOL'S DAY, after Steve April. He was born on 1st April 1579. He did 105 businesses in his lifetime. He lost all his father's assets, and so everyone started calling him father of the fools.
At 19, he married a 61-year-old woman who divorced him after a year because of his foolishness. He used to read all kinds of fake stories like you are doing now.
Happy new month. |

Eddygourdo: When you all hear the truth of what transpired, this girl will run away in shame. If nobody supported you then, not even one person in the entire university. Then my dear you were the problem. I have been in the University system. We know what students can do and most often if a case is between a male and a female, it's treated seriously. No caucus could result in a total support of the said lecturer against you.
We await to see the end of ur drama I believe strongly, she held the lecturer by the collar. |

CharlesPhc: There is always a three side to every story, your version, his version and the truth....!!!
Let's wait for his version and the truth
Meanwhile, I have a feeling that as a matured lecturer, he would most likely not reply you on social network. Carry on with your case at the NHRC and there you may get justice if you are telling the whole truth.
If you had witnesses on that fateful day better for you
Goodluck...!!! I can bet my lunch money, this is not all there is to this story. |

EgunMogaji: Comparing two separate countries immigration requirements is a grave danger.
Best of luck on your immigration travels. What is a “Spouse”? A spouse is a legally wedded husband or wife. Merely living together does not qualify a marriage for immigration. Common-law spouses may qualify as spouses for immigration, but only if the laws of the country where the common-law marriage occurs recognizes common-law marriages and grants them all the same rights and obligations as a traditional marriage. In cases of polygamy, only the first spouse may qualify as a spouse for immigration. http://niamey.usembassy.gov/mobile//niger/foriegn_spouse.html |

OBAGADAFFI: Isn't that the same certificate the Op is talking about?
Read the post you quoted again, i mentioned the court issued certificate .
So what's your argument now. It's totally different. In this case, the couple are not expected to sign anything and no witness is expected to sign too. You only have to present passport photographs of the couple and some pictures taken during the traditional marriage ceremony especially the one where the wife is handing over the cup of wine to the husband and when they both kneel before the wife's father for blessing. Talking from experience. |
Family › Re: Any Married Lady Who Never Had This Is As Good As unmarried. by Sunnynwa: 12:42pm On Mar 28, 2016 |
OBAGADAFFI: What certificate, if it is from a court that's marriage is legal. If not, go to the registry and get one, it won't cost you much When you do not know a thing, you ask questions. There are three types of marriages recognised under Nigerian laws. They are; 1.) Marriage under the Act. 2.) Marriage under Customary laws (Traditional marriage) 3.) Marriage under Islamic laws. For traditional marriage, once the marriage is done, you go to a customary court or LGA headquarters within the area where the wedding was done and register the marriage within 60 days of the wedding. You will be issued with a certificate of registration of marriage. That certificate is legal and recognised by law. |

OBAGADAFFI: It like spending 4 years in university and not collecting your certificate, who will even believe you actually went to the school
Traditional wedding without court wedding. That's the mistake people make due to ignorance. You get a certificate for traditional marriage which is recognised anywhere. Ask me how if you want to know more. |

EgunMogaji: The US embassy in Nigeria ONLY accepts court wedding certificate.
Unless you've gone through the process, no 3rd hand info, please do not argue this simple fact so as not to mislead others. The UK accept traditional marriage registration certificate and I believe the US should too. 1st hand info here as per UK. |

Goke7: Pdp testing the waters but they are just jokers
With the supreme court rubbishing card readers, PDP should forget 2019, only the card readers can make an opposition party win aso rock and even in states governorship elections as it stands as the ruling party will employ every rigging machine to remain in power.
PDP should have been tactful in the card reader issue. They dug their grave by rejecting the card readers.
APC is no fool, they will do all it takes to remain in power after all the supreme court has given more power to politicians to rig. Votes no longer count that much. The PDP did not reject the card readers, the Electoral Act did. We are not in a banana republic where there are no laws. |

PassingShot: My point was lost on you. The number of SE voters in other region was not the reason the OP made a big joke of himself by submitting that registered voters in SE & SS are almost equal to registered voters in the NW and NE. Or was it?
Again, more SEners are registered in their region than those registered outside their region. Though this is not my concern. Only inclusion of states of origin in census and voter registration data can put this argument to rest and so far, only the people of the South East seem to be asking for the inclusion of those data in such exercises. Why is it in WAEC that uses state of residence ie where d exams were written, South Eastern states do not record the highest registration of candidates but in JAMB, where state of origin is used, the number of applicants from south eastern states almost doubles that of WAEC and the south east states end up having highest candidates in JAMB than other states but not so in WAEC & NECO. That said, the op presented wrong and misleading information. |

PassingShot: If you know the percentage of registered voters in SE and SS that are not South Easterners.
Someone has given very misleading and very unimaginably wrong figures, you're talking about negligible figures to justify the poo. So, the percentage of south eastern voters outside south east is negligible? There are more eligible voters of South East origin living outside the south east than those living within the south east. Last guber election in Lagos showed their strength. |
