Dieumerci: Sir, Pls find out the cost of labour (masonry) in ipaja lagos and compare it to lekki and portharcourt.
Find out the cost of delivering a 30 tons granite to Ibara Abeokuta and compare it to delivering same to Ajah lagos or better still Onitsha.
Find out the cost of hardwood in Benin Edo state and compare it to lagos.
Do these and you'll have more answers to your question. Don't give me that cost of labour crap. If your project is ongoing daily, you can bring in labour from wherever you want as long as you provide them accommodation either on site or off site. While comparing the cost of hardwood in Benin to Lagos, also compare the cost of toilet and bathroom fittings as well as tiles and plumbing materials between he two cities. |

Don't change or twist your previous post. You said tiles and we all know tiles aren't the same with marbles. Are you dyslexic? There are various types of tiles; Granite tiles Marble tiles Wooden tiles Ceramic tiles PVC tiles Stone tiles Etc. What are you on about? |

I888: bros, even at that, 7million will give you a nicely finished 4 bedroom bungalow and if we add taste and other luxuries, 10-11 million will do. You guys should stop misleading people. Depends on what you mean by "nice finishing". 7 million can do you an average 4 bedroom bungalow but not nicely finished. |

tonyfrenzy: bro, that mansion was in "quotes". But yes, many regions in Nigeria but not with interior furnishings. Do you believe a plot of 200-500k are available? Cost of building a house doesn't vary much between regions except where the soil type is bad. It is only cost of land that varies much. A bag of cement sells for almost same price everywhere and so does steel, roofing sheets and so on. Location has got little effect on cost of building the actual house except where you have to buy land. |

That cannot buy a land in some areas but it surely can build a "mansion" in another, all in Nigeria. 6.5 million naira build a mansion? Where? |

lezz: Well taken point.
Only in Nigeria do couples have to fulfill traditional, statutory and church marriages before a man is deemed to have married his wife in completion!
Complete waste of energy, time and resources!!!
Many men have been lured by their wives into statutory/court marriages after concluding tradition and church marriage rites.
And without knowing the intricacies and legal obligations of court marriages, they have plunged into the deeps of murky, legal waters!
Marriages should be deemed complete after traditional requirements have been completed!
Women pressure men for white wedding just to fulfill their Cinderella dreams!
The more dangerous and daring wives coerce their husbands into statutory marriages as life insurance policies. Nigerian law recognises customary marriage and considers it equal to registry marriage. It's just that people are ignorant of that. I did just traditional marriage and that is what I used to get my wife a UK dependant visa. |
