Pay our salary arrears, teachers beg Rivers govt By [ Vanguard ] By Davies Iheamnachor Primary and secondary school teachers in Rivers State have pleaded with the state government to pay the salary arrears of its members. Classroom The Rivers State wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, also urged the state government to fulfill its promises to teachers. In a 10-point demand read by its state chairman, Mr. Nkpogene Lucky, in Port Harcourt, the union said they were mild in approaching the issues that concerned their welfare. The statement reads: “Let me say it loud that the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Rivers State wing still has teeth to bite and should not be taken for granted or pushed to the wall. “How come teachers will be begging for promotion and other staturory rights since 2009? “The other demands of the union include financial implementation of verified promotions of teachers for 2009 and 2010, payment of outstanding salaries of February and March 2016 to affected teachers, payment of rural area allowance to teachers, the release of promotion letters for 2011, 20112 and 2013 teachers under the senior secondary schools board and payment of pensions and gratuities to retired teachers.’’ |
jenifasam:Hmm...Feb/March, anytime I think of it...it pains me down to my bone marrow & gives me more reason why I must vote PDP out of Rivers State. |

Something is wrong about the church... For the fact that u have reported to matter to her pastor. A real man of God will ensure that peace is restored in that marriage/home. Her pastor is a selfish man.. I really doubt if that church is a true church of Jesus Christ. These days we have men opening churches and working for their belly and not for Jesus. Secondly, it looks like u don't go to church. Ur wife is looking for solution to a problem which u are not aware of, but maybe in the wrong place. May God help both of u. |
001bumsa:Are u the only one in Zenith bank in this group... Others should also confirm too. Hmm, very strange. |
Stevolala447:You mean that since 2016 up till now, Wike is not aware....Then he should be voted out! |

The Deputy Governor-Elect of Ekiti, Bisi Egbeyemi, says Governor Ayo Fayose planned to use last-minute recruitment drive to win the July 14 governorship election for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but failed. He described the employment forms released by the Fayose administration before the governorship poll in the state as fraudulent, warning prospective jobs seekers to be wary. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Egbeyemi also assured that the governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi, would implement its blueprint for all sectors. According to him, the salaries owed to workers by Fayose would be a top priority of the incoming administration. The tenure of the current administration would end on October 16. Egbeyemi described the purported recruitment as a scam to deceive the electorate during the poll. “How can a governor who had few weeks left instruct unemployed youths in the state to submit their curriculum vitae for jobs that he promised to create for them? “Over 10,000 youths in the state collected the forms for the jobs, but unfortunately, up till now, he has not employed one single youth in the state. “Here is somebody who sacked all those who were employed by the Fayemi-led administration and now wants to employ 2,000 workers. “Workers and the youths should know that he is only deceiving them, but he has forgotten that the people and an average Ekiti worker is more educated and enlightened than he is,” he said. Egbeyemi, a former Chairman of Ado-Ekiti Local Government Area, promised that the incoming government would employ those sacked by the present government when it assumed office. http://kikiotolu.com/fayemis-deputy-reveals-how-fayoses-last-minute-plan-failed/ |
