Look at what I found. This was Nov. 2009 at the heat Late Musa Yar'adua's ailment. "The veil of secrecy surrounding Yar'Adua's health can only lead to unhealthy rumours, which will in turn create an atmosphere of panic over his (President's) health status – with dire implications for the country's overall well being. As the President, Yar'Adua is the father of the nation. The health of the father cannot be kept as a secret from his children." -Lai Muhammed. Action Congress(AC) National Publicity Secretary |

Did you read the report? The governor mentioned doing the right at the right place and time. Did he mention any tribe? Sanchez01: I was in PH two weeks back and it would interest you to note that there were checkpoints all the way from Enugu down to PH. Papers and all were asked and the car was thoroughly searched. I'm sure they would have confiscated what was believed to have been smuggled. And yes, there were vehicles that were confiscated on the road because they carried certain items. Peter Obi should not play the victim mentality just so he could tribalize this. It's on almost every road at this period. |

priceaction: This is sadden situation in which if investors read such , it will be difficult to establish their investments in such area.
But from what I read the kidnapped victim might have been killed by the militants also judging from the way they saw decomposed bodies everywhere. So premium times is being sentimental in their headlines and based on what was reported, IMHO, it seemed there were exchange of gun fires and after the thing settled, they found some corpses. And since no body really know who is who, they paraded all the corpses as militants. Having said that, The rates at which many atrocious killings and crimes are being done in this country is alarming. From armed forces killing her citizens and citizens killing each other for money is alarming. No value for human lives in this country. See how just the rates of kidnapping from the story has rendered many family fatherless and many jobs lost and many companies folded up. Nigeria is truly difficult and terrible country to live and do business . story like this is saddening. you try but you no try...army recognized that he was tied and was the kidnapped victim, yet they left him in the bush. did you read that? also the army couldn't search the area for evidence but left the place like pikin that was disarmed of his akara balls. there were phones and other items littering the floor of the bush. they didn't collect them but waited for the search party to do so. |

STORY IS FAKE! CONFIRMED FAKE! shamsuRana:

STUPID POLITICIANS WITH ETERNAL PARTY SENTIMENTS...FROM APC TO PDP TO KKK. AND NO ONE IS SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT LYNCHING A 7 YEAR OLD.
excerpt..
A seven-year old hungry and helpless boy, they lynched to death
Abba Ibrahim Gamawa (16/11/16)
I have honestly been avoiding the news about the lynching of a seven-year old boy, hoping it will just fizzle away like all those senseless and unimaginable headlines we come across from mischievous media outlets like Newsrescue.
I have had to drop my phone twice opon the sight of that headlines earlier today. But I guess the savagery of Lagosians is real, thus, a seven-year old boy was truly lynched and burnt to death. Subhanallah!
From the Brexit, to the Trump thing, and now this! How the supposedly enlightened ones (we see Lagos as such in Nigeria) are displaying uncivility and even barbarity is yet another paradox of our generation that we need to be mindful of.
I wouldn't even dare to compare the value of his life to the Garri (Kwaki!) he stole, for an adage says it's unfair to say knife is shaper than a stick.
Before going further, I have to say that I don't have the vocabulary that will do justice to my sentiment at the moment, and qualify these people for who they are at once. Perhaps you could suggest one to me.
I have lived in Lagos for almost a decade now, and trust me, you don't want me to tell you how the humans here are. But to think of a seven-year old boy being lynched is not something I have ever thought their barbarity is capable of, and nay! that they unperturbedly just did!
And at this point, the memory of these same people jumping on their feet in a deeply emotional charge to call the likes of SLS names for marrying an 18 year-old lady makes it all the more appalling.
Am already numbing in disbelief as to how they couldn't at least feel, even if they couldn't think; that what could possibly make a young boy steal Garri? I bet even the dumbest human in the world would say it's hunger. And to these animals, lynching and death is all a hungry and helpless boy deserved, while those who, in a single signature, stole a ten-year worth of the Garri that will be consumed in Nigeria, they glorify. What is this?! I honestly don't know.
And the death of this boy, although very tragic and painful, will not be as tragic and painful as it will be if the government doesn't arrest these animals and give them the justice they deserve; the justice Rev. King is to receive; death by hanging. But unlike that of Rev. King, this has to bee done quick enough to send a message that this monstrous attitude has no place in our contemporary Nigeria. |

The best place to check tyre pressure is on the tyre itself. Some cars have had their tyres upgraded to a bigger size of higher psi. legendsilver: *Vulcanizers in Nigeria are killing people*
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL VEHICLE USERS!
Good day sir/ma. Many people have been wondering what could be the cause of the incessant tyre burst accidents on Nigerian roads. The major cause is that we put too much pressure in our tyres. How did I know?
I was preparing for a journey, I changed some of my tyres and I asked the vulcanizer that 'what is the recommended tyre pressure?' He said 50. I said alright, he should inflate it to 50 all round.
When I got to where I was going, I was discussing with some people on the issue of the minister that died on the road due to a burst tyre and wonder what could have happened because nobody could imagine a minister would be travelling with expired tyres as many would think is the major cause of tyre bursts.
A man (lived in US for many years) said that the major cause of tyre burst in Nigeria is that we put too much pressure in our tyres and that each car has recommended tyre size and pressure clearly written on it by the manufacturer.
*I was surprised and begged him to come and show me where it's written on my car. To my greatest surprise, it's by the drivers door which I enter everyday without noticing it.*
By the time we checked, the recommended pressure for my tyres is 32! and I just traveled with tyres on a pressure of 50! He took me round his compound and showed me that of the cars (which includes a jeep and a sienna) there, the highest was 32. Some were even 29!
He further explained that tyres are made of rubber and expand at high temperature. So, when you are travelling in the afternoon when the asphalt on the road is hot, the tyre will want to expand. If the pressure in the tyre is too much and wouldn't accommodate the expansion, a burst is likely to happen at that time.
Pls check the recommended tyre pressure for your vehicle and others you know.
As many as possible Nigerians need to read this. thanks
Seun, lalastica, ishiluv and all the other mod pls let's save life here o by doing the needful |

patriotic9jaboy: This is to appeal to every southerners that our future is in our hands. A united south is what we need now to stand against northern oppression and divide and rule tactics. We must ensure we work together to restore power to the south by 2019. The north obviously has a grand plan of retaining power for so long and this is obvious in the way Tinubu is been put in check so as to limit his influence in the party decisions and made irrelevant in the scheme of things. We never expected such treatment from the north after all we did to support Buhari in the last election. Oyegun is obviously been used to fight a proxy war with Tinubu by the born to rule caliphate up north who will do anything to render his power bloc handicap so as to ensure their grip on power. We need the support our SS/SE brothers to make this happen. Lets us unite and forget all grievances. A united south can wrestle power away from the north with the support of Christian minorities in the middle belt and the north. GEJ was a bad president contrary to our thoughts in 2011 when we supported him massively with our votes. He failed woefully and corruption thrived to the highest heavens during his tenure. Contrary to the believe of our SS/SE brothers, yoruba's did not vote Jonathan out because of hatred or betrayal. He simply under-performed and did nothing for the SW region and even boasted that Igbo's are the backbone of his presidency forgetting that the SW supported him massively in 2011. Buhari appeared to be the messiah but so far, the hardship in the land is so unbearable and there is no end in sight to the present predicaments facing us as a nation. Buhari has no economic blueprint and his style of governance is archiac and filled with bad policies like banning forex for importation of consumer goods and releasing the same scarce forex for Islamic religious pilgrimage. It's a bad situation we are in and we need to co-operate to undo this mistake in 2019. Every one is facing hardship and bearing the brunt of inflation and recession irrespective of our tribes and regions. This is why we need the support of our SS/SE brothers in 2019 to vote buhari out. Let's form an alliance and forget past mis-deeds. We are better united in the south than been ruled by a primitive caliphate who believed they are born to rule without positive results....
God bless SW /SS and SE Thoughts like this confirm the irredeemable nature of Nigeria. Views bereft of elementary critical thinking. is the disunity of South that explains the stealing of? public funds by Southern governors, absence of basic infrastructure in major cities in the South, the widespread and wanton conversion of public structures into private ownership, or it explains the presence of every region in every gang of thieves in every government |

How in 1965 Fani power and his cohorts in collaboration with the NPC/NCNC coalition government seriously rigged the Western regional election in their favour which led to the operation " WETIE" that resulted into January 15 1966 coup and subsequent coups that led to how we found ourselves today. Remember also how your father having realized his folly when it was too late said he was now a born again christian and a Reverend appeared by side of the then Idumota cenotaph " Soja Idumota" you can get a clip of that picture photo graph in the. archives of the then Daily Times of Nigeria. My thoughts exactly. Yoruba, Igbo, Benin and other similar groups are one and the same. Ihuomadinihu: Lol. Anyway, certain things about the Ugbo people reminds me of Igbo-Yoruba pre historic connection before they both became distinct groups . From the popular Moremi story to the Lightskin stuff to Oraife which actually looks like an igbo word. We have Oraifite in Igboland. Ugbo on it's own means a Bush or Farm in Igbo. The word 'Oba' mean different things in Igbo. I've also been able to gather words from both groups that have similar pronouciation, spelling and meaning. Take it or leave it, these tribes are offsprings of similar Proto ancestors. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ugbo people are the last yoruba group to differenciate from Igbos and adopt a full Yoruba status. We need to go deeper in our history. When it comes to Nigeria, the closest relatives to Yorubas are Igbos, Idoma, Edo and Igalas but Tribalism has taken a toll on them. |
