The same thing my aunt and I were talking about yesterday o. It's just so annoying that some dumb married ladies are even supporting this. Same ladies that will drive the car their husband use his hard earned money to buy for them, and still tell him to bring his own car keys cuz the fuel in their own car has finished and she is too fragile to hustle for fuel. What is GENDER EQUALITY in that? It is the un-married ones that are being misled that I pity, dem go tehhhh for their papa house.

So, i'm gobsmacked to hear that it was created by "feminist" according to you. In Nigeria (which happens to be my location at the moment and casestudy too) unless the estate is jointly owned, no judge will hand over such to the woman. What the law simply do in Nigeria is to secure the woman against injustice especially from the in-laws and ill treatment from the man which every well-meaning man shouldn't object to. Seriously, do people still marry in 2016 without going to the registry? That's like the first thing naa. It's a rule of thumb. Oh well..

We are saying the same thing. All the things you stated that you will do for her are the same things expected of you Legally! So why run away from the registry? Let me guess.. you don't want to he held responsible for them. You want it to be done at your whim and caprices. The day you happen not to be in a great mood, you won't do the "needful". The law isn't against anyone, it's just to secure the rights of people! If you are so sure u'll do all what you stated, then you have no business running away from the registry. And who says a woman can't make her own money while married? I'm just against the notion of a man saying he won't go to the registry. For our clime, marriage doesn't favor the woman on it's own. So, saying no registy means you want a slave. Literally. This is because, in laws can interfere and even send the woman packing out leaving her high and dry. If a woman can stay with you, bear your kids, stop her career and the life she has always craved to be married to you. What is money? What is alimony? Why marry someone you don't trust enough to even give all your estates to in the first place? Just saying..
