According to the Director of Public Affairs
of the Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC), Mr Tony Ojobo, MTN
lost a lot of their subscribers to other
networks during the recently introduced
Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
scheme.
According to figures released by Mr
Ojobo, MTN topped the losers table
among an overall number of subscribers
that switched service providers in the
telecoms market with 49%; followed by
Globacom with 23%; Airtel with 17%;
while Etisalat came last on the losers’
table with 11%. Which means Etisalat
emerged top in the number porting
scheme among the telecoms company.

My Grandpa
was a unique person. He
was a kind gentle man that I loved
dearly. He was not only my
grandfather but in growing up he was
my best friend.
I had a difficult childhood and my
grandpa was always there for me. I do
not know where I would be today if it
had not been for my grandfather's
love and guidance. He set an islam
example for me and gave me some of
the important values that I have today.
I was not your typical kid. I was shy
and withdrawn. I guess I was what you
would call a loner. When things
bothered me I held everything inside.
Not the healthiest thing for a person to
do but that was how I was. I didn't
have many friends. When I needed to
talk to someone I talked to grandpa.
He seemed to have the insight to know
when I needed him most because he
was always there. He would listen to
me and never judge me. He never
yelled at me or got mad at what I had
to say. He always seemed to know
exactly what I needed to hear.
As I got older he told me on more than
one occasion that he was concerned
about me finding the right person for
me. He would say "Sunny, (He called
me that sometimes) I pray you will
find the right person that will love you
and take care of you because your
grandpa isn't going to be around
forever." He was concerned about
that. I guess I grew up depending on
him and felt that he would always be
there for me. That is why I was so
devastated when he died suddenly due to old age complications. I felt lost
without him to turn to. I didn't have
my best friend anymore to turn to.
Over the years I have come to realize
and be grateful that God blessed me
by giving me such a wonderful
grandfather. He was there for me at a
time when I needed him most, and now hes no more to see me as an adult.
missed you grandpa. May your soul rest in perfect peace. you will never be forgotten.

A Lagos big girl, Victoria Alonge, traveled
all the way to Abuja to attack her
estranged lover, Roland Nna for refusing
to marry her after “using” her for 4years.
“I did that to teach him a bitter lesson
because he refused to marry me after
dating me for over four years. He
fooled me and my parents and
ditched me after finding a new lover
here in Abuja. I live in Lagos with my
parents,” Victoria said.
A Karu Senior Magistrates’ court, on
Monday sentenced 25-year-old Victoria
Alonge, to one-year in jail for pouring hot
oil on her ex-boyfriend, Roland, over his
refusal to marry her.
The Senior Magistrate, Omolola Akindele,
summarily sentenced Alonge without an
option of fine after the convict admitted to
committing the offence in court.
Alonge was arraigned by the police on a
one-count charge of causing grievous hurt
on Nna, her ex-boyfriend who lives in the
Kurudu area of Abuja.
Victoria had gone to Roland’s house at
about 4:30 a.m. on the fateful day and
poured hot oil on him while he was
asleep, resulting in grievous hurt on his
body. She was immediately arrested by the
police and confessed to committing the
crime.
While in
detention, Famousgists.Com gathered that
Victoria threatened to inflict more harm on
Roland when and if she meet him again.
She said it is unacceptable for him to just
use and dump her like that.

BasseyJ: For the partition experts here, decided to partition my P3 today, thetutorial i followed suggested using 4gbs for the FAT32 partition and 1gbs for the EXT4, own, now i'm through with it and i'm thinking that the persons mem card might be just 5gigs, i have an 8gig mem card, do i repartition it and allocate 7gig for FAT and 1 for the EXT? OR do i leave it like that?? Thanks

The 8 gig must be 7.3 or gig so allocate 1 gig to ex2 not ex4 cause ex2 is more satable wiyh many rom. Then d remaining unallocated memomry use is for fat32. This using mimi partitioning tool. But if is cmw use ex4 and allocate 1024 and aize of linux swap if needed. The other space will be automatocally be givrn to fat32. HTH
