aramstoks: Are these clowns playing for money or for their country?
Both - players too have to chop (earn a living) and our country has the resources. NFA has received the money and most probably chopped half of the money which is why they are only offering our super eagles 1/2 of their previous match earnings. Remember not everyone makes big bucks like mikel etc.

Billyonaire: MKO was not perfect. He was not a saviour~ Fela knew him better and sang some hymns about this man. Today, we call him martyr cos we did not know the man. He was the reason Nigeria is where it is today. IBB might be an evil genius, but Nigeria is better today, than it would have been if she was pocketed by the political billionaire called MKO. Who sponsored many coupe detat and sinked millions of copies of bibles in the Atlantic Ocean just to stall Christianism. MKO was a very good and a very bad man. He was not to be~
Good points Billy..... his life has to be also analysed pre jun 12 '93 in fairness even if some of the details are not flattering..... btw, saw a thread earlier about a dugatti spotted in abj, knew that had to be you wink
PoliticsRe: MKO Abiola’s Last Interview by supaeagles(m):

COOLDUN: Even India would have been keeping the cup for keeps for a very long time.
I heard that India was banned by FIFA for using black magic and beating brazil 99-0 in the sixties grin grin

Samchelsea: For those of us wey no get fast internet connection na brila fm and nairaland all d way......but how come Namibia of about 2million people held Nigeria of 170million to a 1-1 draw....NIGERIA NEEDS GOOD STRIKERS!
Krasid: Football is not all about population.Even spain has one of the smallest populaton in europe and the world.if it was about population china and usa would have won the world cup.
*oya,haters spill your nonsense*
You do have a good point @Krasid but in support of SamChelsea's post - football is next to religion in Naija and so with our talent pool we should have strikers. We just need better academies to groom them.
– Both teams are lined up in a
virtually empty Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek
Shame on Namibians. If this was Abuja national stadium now, the stadium will be overflowing now....with even thousands of 'extras' still outside trying to come in or just "hearing" the action/game from the outside.
SportsRe: Namibia Vs Nigeria W-C Qualifier: (1 - 1) On 12th June 2013 by supaeagles(m): 6:47pm On Jun 12, 2013
The current super eagles team is making us as proud as the original green eagles once did for our nation. Thank you lads and good luck in Namibia, we are all supporting you in unity.... NLers in the E,W,N,S, middlebelt and worldwide.
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by supaeagles(m): 6:36pm On Jun 12, 2013
Rastamann: When God was creating man, he never created man to be a single parents, so why go against the wish of God, except where one's spouse is dead?
I am not sure this is the right thread for that kind of argument after all people can then argue that the human race evolved (scientifically backed) and were not created (which is a spiritual belief).
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by supaeagles(m):
Policewoman: That is exactly what i have against single parenting. When you raise a boy like a woman, without a father figure, why won't he start having feelings for the same sex?
interesting... is that what you learned in police school ??... apart from learning how to collect money at check point grin
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by supaeagles(m):
sometimes a single parent is better than two (bad) parents or one good and one bad parent! Besides, there will always be extended family, grandparents etc giving support. Our society is known for that.
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by supaeagles(m):
anitank: some of us are not single mums by choice. Death happens u know? try thinking before talking or typing and yeah, its something to be proud of because being a mum proves that u're a real woman
very true. Also note, some women cannot bear children for various medical reasons, choice etc, they are also equally real women (imho)

alj harem: Good. I have always said it that okada issue needs to be sorted out. okada is too dangerous and promotes intellectual laziness .
huh I have to assume that you are a victim of this "Okada induced intellectual laziness" ..... or most likely, you had an unfortunate fall from an Okada landing on your head.

sauer: while other nations bother about production and advancing human knowledge, my people are concerned about not having se/x until they marry. Just what exactly is the importance attached to this experience? huh
I don't think we have to always copy the so called 'advanced nations'. This is after all a social aspect of life and we are proud of our culture and our conservative principles.

PoliticsRe: Dana Air Had Technical Fault While Taking-Off In Lagos Yesterday by supaeagles(m): 8:50pm On Jun 11, 2013
denitro: Please explain yourself.
A plane can't rise into the air and then suddenly come down again without crashing.
When the pilot raises the nose up for takeoff, he has gone beyond V1 (Decision speed, beyond which it is impossible to abort a take-off and stop safely within the remaining runway length).
I find your story hard to believe. Or did the plane fly in the air, make a turn towards the airport and then returned
to the airport?

True oh! Maybe OP was describing a bus ride in young shall grow transport grin
BusinessRe: Banker Sleeps On Keyboard, Accidentally Transfers Millions by supaeagles(m): 8:44pm On Jun 11, 2013
doublecross: i quite agree with u. The banking job is just too stressful. The Government should look into this. I strongly suggest that the bankers should work for a day or 2 and get a day off.
Really? I do not think it is any more stressful than other professional jobs
BusinessRe: Banker Sleeps On Keyboard, Accidentally Transfers Millions by supaeagles(m): 8:40pm On Jun 11, 2013
Tinyemeka: Doubt if the transaction actually went through. Because of amount limit.
Exactly - sounds like an "Internet story".
Two things
1) operationally banks have a system in place that would require approvals for such large transfers.
2) from a software perspective, banking software systems are generally programmed with these limits and so will prompt the user to verify such a transfer and/or ask for a supervisor/manager approval in addition.

Most likely this was a yahoo yahoo boy operation that was foiled and this is their cover story grin
