yea no doubt there is corruption in the promotion heirachy in the NA but guy it's very minimal compared to other sectors the Nigerian army I can boast of having at least 5merit out of 10 NDA recruited cadets I can bet on that. I've seen sons of generals and senators fail in the defence academy and also son of Nobody getting admitted.
Promotion from recruits to conel is highly on merit, though some maneuver their way out of which half are caught and demoted later in the future.
If you merit the rank in the NA it'll be given to you in full.
The only obstacles in NA promotion is from conel to Brig Gen.
