When the sokoto gudali discovered Abiola was your choice they cancelled the election, kill him, kill his wife yet you didn't do anything.

When the surrogate abokii Obj was busy seizing Ibetos's licenses to make sure his masters Sokoto gudali are happy by making their son Dangote the richest man where were you.

When Northern States were declaring Sharia states left, right and center what did you surrogate son of yours did to stop them because he didn't want to ruffle the sokoto gudali feathers.
Yes Abiola died and likewise our heroine Kudirat for a struggle they believed in, rather than ensuring the massacre of their kinsmen.

Now comapre that to one coward sissy that is not fit to even lead some set of bandits, pretending to be warlord, that sacrificed 3million of his kindred before ben johnsoning to Abidjan.

Your choice doesn't count as far as the gambari interest is there, Zik was there but Okpara rejected census figure of 1958 to tell you we don't accept every bullshiit from the gudalli.
The bottomline is OBJ is a yorubaman. The slogan in 1999 was whether Olu Obasanjo or Olu Falae both of them are Olus, so we care less.

Look at the casualties of the civilwar according to JP Clark

Far too premature to claim victory !

Shortly after the civil war the whole world thought that the Igbos lost.

-Sadly that is not the case. Nigerians across various tribe lost as

1- ethnic nationalities in Niger Delta lost their God given resources,

2- middle belt /Northern aborigin the became sacrificial lamb and

3-Yorubas became perpertual slaves that must not allow to rule except a Northern dies in office.
Another vomit from a shallow brain.

I did not know that Abubakar died before OBJ took over?

The best y1bos can do is to:

1. kill the leaders of other regions
2. taunt other people with their senseless killings
3. crush the dream of others that want to secede under them
4. cancel regionalism and aggregate power to the centre, in their selfish and greedy bid to control others.
5. declare war on the nation

7. invade neutral regions, kill their people in their show of brigandry

what can render my argument invalid is if the taxes deducted in the salary of 1 shell engineer is lesser than the tax deducted from the 5 bankers.
.it is only the shell chevron or mobil workers that are working in Lagos alone that their PAYEE is remitted to Lagos.

Taxes of various branches of any company are remitted to the state where such is located. A branch of Zenith Bank in Owerri remits it's PAYEE to Imo State Government and not Lagos.

One thing I want you to realise is Regionalism MUST precede Secession, except you want to go through the path of barrels and blood.

ND should make their call for regionalism and resource control. You need to learn how to hide your objective in the midst of advocating for a collective beneficial cause.

Diplomacy and alliance with key regions also matters.

The voice of the likes of Dokubo can never make anybody take ND serious. Until highly cerebral people that can engage in logical and convincing argument take up the battle.

Definitely you are too lazy to read up. Google is everybody's friend. Kindly read up on the history of this country.

Point of correction, there is nothing like "our ministries". As the constitution stands today, all the ministries belong to FG and FG is our collective property. By default all ministries must be located in Abuja.

Someone abolished the region and centralised all the power at the federal level. With that action, he took resource control away from all regions and gave it to federal government without thinking of the future implications on the generations yet unborn. That person is Ironsi.

Some people hijacked power and saw the advantage in the new system for their part of the country and they capitalised fully on it. That is the northerners.

Oil companies have the right to chose wherever there HQ want to be. Even Barrack Obama cannot order them to relocate to anywhere. Are you aware that the British Barclays Bank is contemplating moving his HQ away from UK because of excessive taxation. The same way militancy, kidnapping and insecurity in general drove the oil giants and oil servicing companies away from ND.

Min of ND, Min of Petroleum and other related government agencies must be located where the seat of government is. That is why they are in Abuja. NDDC is in ND, because it is parastatal strictly dedicated to your region.

Way forward.

1. GEJ missed the golden opportunity with the National Jamboree he was calling Confab. He ought to have lobbied his way through the National Assembly for the amendment of the constitution to recognise referendum, for a confab resolution to be binding.

2. At the Confab, we must all support regionalism. With regionalism, your much sort after resource control comes automatically. Also note that all the income being generated for FG in SW through taxation, VAT, petroleum tax, custom and excise duty will also revert to SW strictly.

To make the resource control more acceptable to all, a graduated increment of percentage to be allocated to region producujg such resources can be fashioned out.

We shall all pay certain percentage to FG for the running of the central government.

Each regions can decide to create 20states and 500 LGs within their region. It's none of anybody's biz.

Crying for Biafra or Upper Zambezi is dead on arrival at international level. That is a fact. After some years with regionalism we can all call for referendum on separation. First thing first, we need to amend the constitution before conducting any meaningful confab.

FG came on board when it saw the viability.

Therefore, FG does not have any control over the project. The likes of Tompolo, Boyloaf, Dokubo should use all the billions they are collecting to set up such yards on their lands, instead of investing their funds in.other countries, as it's the case.

Most people commenting have no idea what they are talking about saying it must be fabricated where there is oil. This is as logical as saying weapons must be manufactured where there is war

The main input into the Platform is STEEL. Specializesd steel that will stand in the ocean for years without corroding. We do not make such steel in Nigeria. Such a job has to be done in an environment of safety and technical suitability

The other inputs are several not least is skilled manpower which we do not have and of course entrepreneurial vision and drive in a Nigerian person. Asari dokubo and Tompolo decided they were more interested in the education and security sectors of the economy. There is now a local content law and on the basis of that law LADOL have developed their company to operate in LAGOS . The law says Nigeria not Bayelsa. In the past the platforms were assembled in Korea and then shipped to Nigeria so why is it controversial if a business decides to manufacture in Lagos. Lagos has an attraction obviously because there is a port there that an handle the tonnage of steel involved and is relatively safe for expatriate staff. The business decided to operate from Lagos that is their choice and it is petty in the extreme for government to get involved at all. the siting of these headquarters where a political decision.......I think that regions should be aware of their characteristics and the govt should work on the strengths of these regions.....the north has solid minerals they should work on that. The oil exploration and management should be done in the region that creates that......we should even think of relieving lagos of some stress....because lagos is getting too congested.....let development go round so that there would be less calls for division if things are done right.......
If there is any other word for congestion, it should be used for Lagos and there is an urgency to relieve it of the stress and the impending catastrophe. God forbid all the same.

There is nothing political in siting of businesses. It is a business decision based on information on security, business strategy, business intelligence and business economics at the disposal of the investors. Most importantly, a business man will site his business where he is guaranteed of safety of his life and that of his investments.

To a large extent SW offers this to most multinationals and individuals.

If you are talking of government entities such as NLNG, refineries etc I will agree with you that the siting of such could be political.

The only way forward for this country is regionalism. True federalism is not possible even in this present scenario. Majority of the states cannot survive true federalism under this scenario. With regionalism, congruent states can harness their comparative advantage, strengths and assets to build a formidable and sustainable economy.

With that, all regions will develop at their own pace. Whoever wants to be Dubai can be, whoever wants to be Somalia and Afghanistan can be and whoever that wants to be US can be.

seriously...I agree with your submission. I blame GEJ for these miscalculated steps....since the North has decided that we cannot have true federalism, the best thing to do is site projects where they are supposed to be.....imagine kaduna having a refinery and they do not produce a single drop of oil.......we have major ports in Nigeria like onne, calabar and warri ports....but they are not functional to reasons I do not understand......lagos and abuja have gotten a large share of federal assisted projects and I think these development should be spread across.....lagos is being congested......dangote is about to build a new refinery in lagos......that is concentrating too much there....I think another move is to return all head offices of the oil firms back to where they belong....that is the Niger delta.....at least when things are done how they are supposed to be done,I doubt if there would be shouts of marginalisation.......and I heard that the letter to this effect was dated 30th april....so the decision was made before the elections
Oil companies siting their offices in a particular place is not the decision of the government, but of the company. They can even site it in Accra and be controlling their Nigeria business from there. Ecobank's HQ is in Togo, Stan Chart HQ is in Uk, Stanbic is in SA, Citibank is in NY. Which government can force them to relocate to Nigeria?

They are a private entity. When OBJ tried to forced banks to relocate their HQ to Abuja, it never worked.

It is left to the coalition of states in a regional presentation for them to appeal to the companies, making them to see the merits.

Investors will be in a place where they are guaranteed of safety of lives and their properties, non-militancy and no piracy activities. All these will have to form a key part of the presentation and selling points to the oil majors by the SS Regional Community.

How many times have you heard the Indigenes of Lagos State marching to Chevron or Mobil, demanding employment or making stupid demands on such companies. I am sure, Warri has learnt its lessons, they will never tow the line of war in a long time to come. All the oil servicing relocated from there, during the dark days of Warri War. It has been an herculean task, getting those companies to come back fully. Most of them still have their HQ in Lagos and Field Office in Warri with minimal assets.

Well bros rant as you like, the sarakis do not consider themselves as Yorubas. You cannot force a man to belong to an ethnic group, so deal with that
Who cares?

In as much as they bear our names, speak our language and imbibe our culture, thereby sustaining our culture and increasing our influence, we are OK with that.

That is psychological colonialism.

The same we are doing to your kith and kinsmen littering our canaan-like region.

Following your "they are not Yorubas" argument, Sarakis are therefore a product of our colonialism. The rest is immaterial.

By the way, what is the meaning of Saraki, Olusola, Bukola and Gbemisola in Fulfude?
