pazienza: That's the question you should be asking your fellow tiger faced people fleeing their poverty stricken enclaves in Oyo,Ondo,Osun,Ekiti,Ogun, for a FG built enclave,Lagos?

The constitution tells me that every Nigerian can reside in any part of Nigeria, while still retaining his franchise in his place of residence.
Very funny. Why did FG not build any where in your gully eroded and rebellious land? Are the states in the land of the nyanmiri flat.heads not collecting monthly allocation from FG.

You remain the conquered slave of Nigeria without any stake any where. Stay inside your gully erosion, that is where your stake is.

The constitution gives you the right to stay anywhere you like, even sambisa forest, but it does not give you the right to lay claim to anywhere outside your gully caves. Copy that.

pazienza: There is nowhere in Nigeria known as Odualand, what we have are states.Only states are recognized by the constitution.

A Nigerian can live in any Nigerian state, irrespective of what a person from a backward state thinks.

So, like you were asked before, why did you leave your poverty stricken Osun state, for Lagos,an FG built state, aka a no man's land?
Who is disputing the constitution? Did the constitution tells you there is a place called no man's land in Nigeria, o generation of covetous ethnicity?

Does the constitution tells you L, you have a stake in your state of residence, Cain descendant?

Y is ur sorry ass not in ekiti,is it not yorubaland
I can choose to live anywhere on oduduwa's land, in as much as I'm not pressing for a stake in Arewa and Alaigbos' land.

ChrisOD: In Nigeria people are officially identified by their state of origin not geopolitical zone of origin. Why did you migrate from your state to another state?
State is artificial division, the people, the race, the thnicity remains yorubas -- from ore to saki, igbomina to lagos -- we are all oduduwa descendants.

As much as i do not have a stake in sambisa forest or red mud, likewise none has a stake in ours.

EasternLeopard: Ok

If you are Osun state governor

Which people will be of more benefit to you

Wealthy Osuns or Middle Class Osuns
A governor is a person, and he will prefer wealthy people because they will bring investment. However, the governor still needs the middle class to assist the wealthy man to create wealth.

Government as an institution will go for middle class and not wealthy.

Classical example is America during the recession. are there not enough rich men in america to stimulate the economy with their money. Why was the government bailing out companies -- they were actually bailing out their middle class and not the rich. Wipe away the middle class from the economy and the economy will be comatose.

TamzyTamudo: shut up young man, this is what you people are good at,stop defending the utter failure of a people and state,u talked about emigration as if your region is not part of our country, won't blame you sha, will only blame Zik for all this insults from u ingrates of a people,if we are not in the same country with you yorubas and every other ethnic group that hates us,u guys will see us as foreign investors which will bring huge uncalled respect for us just as nigeria as a country presently value the us,china etc,Keep wondering if the lord cursed igbos to develop Nigeria before leaving or he cursed us to be progressives anywhere we are don't just know the actual thing to believe. saying this because of the insults we get despite our giant strides to move the nation forward yet all they do is to plot our demise and rain abuses on the living ones. My simple advice to nigerians especially the ofenmanus is to value what they have now before they lose it.
Another Cain descendants exhibiting the curse God almighty placed in his life.

EasternLeopard: Yes you are right

Be truthful

If God tells you to choose btw being a wealth man or a middle class. Which financial status do you think will favour Osun state more.?
Of course, i will choose the wealthy man. However, a government will choose the bulk of its citizens being middle class than wealthy.

We started this discussion from govt perspective and not individual.

eaglechild: Your sudden outburst of "curses" suggest otherwise.

I was simply trying to point out facts.

In any case, it's alright for you to let out the steam.

Like I said, you cannot really offer what you do not have.
The abundance of skilled manpower and expertise in the SE, makes it difficult for someone from Adoekiti or Oshogbo for instance to fit in.

I mean apart from the aforementioned ( traditional medicine, taxi driving perhaps tailoring), they cannot compete.
There is nothing wrong with driving a taxi or selling medicine(unless it kills) because it is an honest way to make a living much better than taking to crime.

Most Igbo in the SW are in Lagos, a city which also attracts just as much immigrants from Oshogbo, Ekiti, On do etc, therefore, I see no big deal.
Laughing in Efik and Lagos is the Atlantic portion of alaigbo?

Where is the technical expertise and skills that is not showing in your land and not stopping the daily movement of able bodied men in Young shall Grow to our region?

I repeat, our best brains remain our soil, while your best are in divine assignment --- assisting to build our economy.

Most of them who has not travel beyond southwest believe that with high number of igbos in their region that southeast is deserted & emty, meanwhile ignorant of the fact that southeast is the most densely populated region in Nigeria.
To be ignored.

I stay on Admiralty way, Lekki. I am proudly OSun and will never claim Lagos for anything, like some people from the gully erosion.

If you are opportuned to trannsverse the number of states and countries i have been to, then you are blessed. I return back all the glory to God and not to despise miserable and hapless poverty stricken lives like yours.

EasternLeopard: The middle class can not eat those bags of rice if they don't earn money to buy them.

Question

Do the rich they work for pays them TRUE or FALSE.?
It is true that the rich pays them ans i explained that with the rice. How many bags of rice can the rich buy iin a day?

Compare that with the collective buying of the middle class.

The rich pays the middle class for the owrk being done, and they distribute the money within the economy and also create more wealth for the rich and govt by paying taxes too.

All SE towns are home to many traditional medicine practitioners from the SW.

I even forgot to mention, PH taxi driving business is almost monopolised by the SW.

No need to get offended about people making an honest living(apart from perhaps the patent agbo sellers).
Get offended over issues such as this. Funny you, are you a learner on NL.

EasternLeopard: Can wealth go round if it is not created

Ok

Why do we seek for foreign investors(business men) to help develop our economy.
I quite agree with your submission that wealth cannot go round without being created.

however, it is the middle class that distributes the wealth. Has rich has dangote is, he cannot eat a bag of rice in a day, but his employees that are the middle class can collectively, thereby transferring wealth to that rice seller. this will increase the rice seller's turnover and more gains for the farmers/importers, depending on where the seller is sourcing from. That is the real economy.

Foreign investors bring in more money into your economy to create wealth through production or services. These will make them to employ more people, that will eventually still distribute the wealth, as explained above.

This is the reason why countries with low literacy level suffer, because expatriates taht will be causing capital flight will be employed instead of the citizens of those countries.

EasternLeopard: May I ask you

How many jobs have the middle class created or provided for their children.?

Dangote pays more tax which is a major component of IGR than 10 000 middle class people TRUE or FALSE.?

The refinery dangote plans to site in ondo state, will generate more in taxes than the tax paid by 10 000 middle class people TRUE or FALSE.?
Check the value of PAYE in comparison to total tax and you will know what i am talking about.

The middle class makes money to circulate within the economy and not the rich. The rich creates the wealth.

DO not look at the absolute figure Dangote is paying in taxes. Look at it in comparison with revenue and look at the taxes of the ordibnary people paying taxes in comparison with their revenue too. you will realise Dangote is enjoying a lot of waivers and tax holidays, that is making to pay lesser tax, thereby enriching him more.

This topic was sane and we were all learning, before the klepto-whatever started his stup1d argument. If he wants to derail the thread, i will assist him to the fullest. he knows it.

Back to your post, if it is innate desire and characteristic of igbos to migrate, fine but basing argument on others not coming to the land that does not have anything to offer, is a sign of not being competitive is comical and shows how shallow such a thought is.

Gully erosion is a natural phenomenon but poverty isn't.
Bad roads in osun aren't.

GDP indeed
You are as clueless as your post. Are the PDP guys from the moon or are they not the same osun people? or what is this mengistu from torah borah mountain saying? The thread is not about PDP vs APC - i dont do party arguments, so waka with your PDP jargons.

I repeat, how has the poverty in Osun resulted in their emigration into your gully eroded land. That means their land is better and more prosperous than your eroded red mud, that is why theyr refuse to move into the pit you are calling a region. People migrate to where there is prosperity.

Stem the wave of emigration that is a scourge in your region and stop this human desertification you are witnessing.

I never told you politicians do not embezzle borrow funds, i told you in a simple layman's english that, it brings about accountability because the citizens will be more interested in what the govt is doing with their money.

8.4bn is the wahala of osun state people and not that of people from the land of red mud.

Pls watch the men who built america with your phones youtube

As for infrastructural development, I still believe community development groups will play vital role in quickly and cheaply achieving that.
You are wrong.

Those countries are doing well because of their strong middle class and not because of the few rich people. Why is Chinese economy the fastest growing in the world --- the strong middle class and why is Afghanistan a poor country -- their non-existent middle class.

Wipe off the middle class and you will have a country going no where and let the middle class thrive, that is the engine room of any country's propserity.

The middle class is created by govt providing policies and infrastructures, taht willl bring more investors and more employment and more IGR to govt. All those Ibrus, dangotes etc always have waivers on taxes from government. they pay virtually next to nothing or a very minute amount, in comparion with their revenue.

Osogbo does not have drainage but its devoid of gully erosion. It does not have better road than enugu and owerri, but that has not stopped your able bodied men from migrating from your desolate gully ersoion of red mud land to the same osogbo.

Politics › Re: Nigeria: Its Zonal Populations And Zonal Economic Contributions by superstar1(m): 9:57pm On Aug 26, 2014
ChrisOD: Permit me to digress, but in Nigeria, IGR and GDP don't mean much because half of the money is stolen by politicians. It's just on paper.
It does. It shows the buffer zone and shock ability of each state. If FGN removes allocations today, due to the oil wells drying up, your IGR will show whether you will thrive, survive, barely make ends meet or out rightly turn to detroit --- bankruptcy.

Allocation makes stealing easier for politicians. With IGR, the citizens are more concerned about how government/politicians are spending the money, because it is the sweat of the people. With asking of questions by the electorate, the system will induce better think tanks as politicians, sustainable accountability and progressive development.
