Well, to my best of knowledge the wars were on 3 fronts --

1. the jalumi war -- the fulanis were dealt eternal blow they never recovered from.

2. The war against Oyo , led by Afonja which they had resounding success.

3. The war against Ogbomosho and its environ -- fulanis had initial success. Why they were retreating from Osogbo axis, Ogbomosho launched an attack on them from their own axis. The fulanis did not have the numerical strength to fight on two fronts and they had to retreat back to Ilorin, where they were contained.
